We got the Fresh Open faced eye roast of beef and the stuffed rigatoni. As far as the roast beef it was ok one cut above lunch meat but if you look at my reviews I have eaten some great roast beef but the gem here was pasta sauce was delicious and there meat balls too.
Just another note they did have dark brown gravy and did accommodate me with gravy fries and that did make me happy.
Hands down the BEST pizza I had in northeast Philly!! All the other spots don't come close to being anywhere near as good as this pizza! I ordered gluten free (flat bread) with pepperoni, fresh garlic..etc (YES THEY PUT FRESH GARLIC AS A TOPPING!!! HUGE DIFFERENCE IT MAKES!!) I can't wait to try more foods from here, and I bet the regular dough is just as fresh. definitely authentic top grade pizza you will get here that is worth every dime! I'm telling all my friends and coming back for more soon!
An amazing place. Kid friendly and fresh food. Can't beat that. Plus they're open on Halloween with great specials. You know where I'm ordering from on Halloween.
We ordered delivery, so I haven't seen the inside of this place, but the food was good and the delivery was quick. The French fries were very good and the pizza was average. I wasn't impressed with the wrap I ordered, but the chicken in it was tasty. We got two free canolis with our order and they were delicious. The delivery driver was very kind. We will order here again.
Pizza is very tasty and crust is just right - not to thick and not too thin. The baked wings are so delicious - not dried out like so many other local pizza shops. Above average customer service.
Just moved from NE Philly. Owner, Mandy, is super nice. Always treats his customers like family. His pizza has a unique tasty sauce and is made with "real" mozzarella cheese. Whether you choose to top it with pepperoni, sweet pepper, mushrooms, or have it plain jane… you will not be disappointed.
I order here, primarily for takeout and - once in a blue moon - pick-up. The owner is very generous, genuinely cares. The (homemade) meatballs - and sauce! - are delicious!
Everything we've ordered from here is delicious, actually. We'll, except the tuna hoagie: too salty and too water-y. Otherwise, excellent food.
I rarely hand out 5 stars for any product or service. Johnny G's deserves 5-stars because it is, quite simply, the best takeout restaurant in the NE!
Johnny Pizza is the best ! Ive gone to a lot of pizza places before, but now I've found a home. The hand tossed is great as is the pan. The cheese steak and fries one of the best. Glad I found you Johnny !
Pizza is awesome. Nice and thin...sauce and cheese is delicious.. Meatballs are homemade..roast pork and roast beef are cooked to perfection just like MaMa used to make. If you enjoy old school South Philly food no need to drive 25 miles..Johnny is the Man..Staff friendly. Bone Apatite! !!

I’ve been craving a good cheesesteak for a while. I just didn’t want to get in my car to travel anywhere far to get there. I took my chances on this place & so happy I did. I ordered a small Hawaiian pizza for my wife I never liked that type of pizza but I taste hers & it was so good I’d order it for myself next time. Only problem with pizza was it was too saucy (for me) I personally don’t like a lot of sauce but thats easy to fix. Next time I’ll just order light sauce. Now for the steak omg it was very good. I was so mad on my last bite because it left me wanting more. I got a cheesesteak with extra cheese, fried onions, mayo, ketchup, salt, pepper, & garlic salt. That steak was PERFECT!!! Bread was so soft I’m telling you I can go on/on about it lol. Bottom line food was good no issues here. So I’ll definitely be ordering from that pizza place from now on
Huge plus you can order right from the yelp app (you cant trust people giving them your card number over the phone unfortunately) so that sealed the deal for me!
One of the best all-rounder pizza joints in the area, so far the weakest menu items (and i'm about a 1/3rd through having eaten everything on the menu at this point) are the chicken tenders and garlic bread- though their wings and cheesy garlic bread are bangin, which is weird, ordered the normal an cheesey during the same order too.
In any case 5/5 highly recommended, a bit on the pricier side and sometimes portions are a bit small compared to other pizza places, but the G man's over here is fan-tucking-fastic, and i recommend them highly.
One of our regular go-to places for delivery and my personal favorite. They have a lot of options and they're all amazing. They have the best onion rings, great wings and a wide array of sandwiches.
Best Pizza I've eaten so far in this city... The server I had was eager to introduce us to their menu items and wasn't to overbearing in his explanations. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
If you're looking for a cheese steak thats made to your liking added with some of Johnny's extra T.L.C. then here's the place to visit. Or maybe you just want a saucy, filled with lots of cheese pizza with some of your favorite toppings, you cant go wrong here. Everytime I visit Johnny G's, I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and excellent customer service. Its very reminiscent of my South Philly neighborhood pizzaria! Thanks for making a girl feel at home!
