I've eaten at Deke's many times and couldn't get enough of the chicken wings (the size of a prehistoric bird) and the macaroni and cheese is actually better than my own. Nothing beats the service on a Wednesday night. And the drinks are the best in town. I loved the dine in experience so much I started using Deke's to cater events in my home. Picked it up at the small location and put it in my own chafing dishes and blew the party up! One last thing... valet parking; nice touch
Wife and I just ordered from Deke's for the first time tonight, and I am blown away. REALLY good food. Fall-apart tender ribs, flavorful and moist BBQ chicken, and those pecan chocolate bar desert things they do are absolutely incredible.
The food is just amazing. You get a very sizable portion for a great price. The thick, seasoned fries are SO GOOD! All the sandwiches are delicious! My boyfriend is bringing me some tonight and my mouth is watering. 10/10 would recommend.
My first time here last night and man was I impressed. I've eaten a lot of BBQ from all over and Deke's could go toe to toe with any of the best. Ribs are delicious, collards are great, slaw is done right. Overall, the best BBQ in the Philadelphia area.
Just stopped today for my first time at Deke's BBQ and it was SO GOOD!!! I had the pulled pork sandwich platter with coleslaw, pickles, and potato wedges. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu! I will definitely be back!

We had an excellent experience with Deke's Food Truck at the Citylight Fall Fest on 10/1 a Gorgas Park. There was a line a block long for almost 2 hours and Deke and Jackie worked hard to get everyone fed. They were great to work with. Thank you! People love their food as well! Would highly recommend.
Walked in said i was starving ... got the brisket combo with wedges corn bread and coleslaw.. said to me this will fill me up .. and he wasnt joking .. oh yea mac and cheese was on point .. �
Love this place- always make it a priority to visit when down in Philly. BBQ is first class and the owner and staff are very friendly and always take care of customer first. Will be down before Christmas; can't wait

In fall outside fire Pitts are great. My favorite place to eat when in east falls. Plus Dekes is home to the 5 x softball champs. Ask for Mazz24 he will be in to sign autographs and kisses for the ladies upon request.
I learned about Deke's because Deke came into where I worked and he smelled sooooo good. I asked him what he was wearing and he said, " it's probably my BBQ sauce you're smelling.". I had to try his food- I've never been disappointed. Every detail is bragadocious. The honey butter cornbread is just- wow. The service and atmosphere are tops. Whenever I have friends in town, I take them here and they love it.
Outstanding Brisket, Ribs, and Chicken - the Best BBQ I've eaten north of Richmond, VA. Also some of the best cornbread I've had north of Richmond. The people here are amazingly nice. This is the place I would take out of town friends or family visiting Philadelphia.
Another amazing time at Dekes on Saturday celebrating the last of our groups 50th birthdays this year!! The owners and staff went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. The food once again was on point!! The brisket we took with us for our driver who was from Texas met his approval as the best he has had on the East Coast!!

Omg. Much better than I would have imagined. I was craving brisket. I don't expect much from a small shop like this, but it was probably better than most restaurants I've been to. The brisket sandwich was delicious! The bread was soft, the brisket was beyond tender with the perfect amount of fat for flavor. The cornbread was warm and moist. And the young lady who assisted me was very kind. Keith Lee himself would be very impressed.
Dekes is a no frills BBQ. They have some amazing and tender brisket. I have the Brisket Cheesesteak a go and was not disappointed.
The Brisket here is phenomenal and i’ve been to Franklins in Austin Texas. It was salty and sweet and melted in your mouth in the brisket cheesteak I got. I would highly recommend trying this as it’s one of the best cheesesteaks in Philly.
Me and my husband went there for the fourth of July, we just moved here from down south. The BBQ was amazing, the Mac and cheese was awesome and the bourbon pecan pie was to die for. We are definitely making this place our favorite place to get the best BBQ. I would give them 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐if I could.

Brisket cheesesteak. I think I now know the difference between BBQ brisket and smoked brisket. I prefer barbecue brisket. It is juicier/fattier. Deke cuts about half inch thick brisket fillets and puts them on a roll. I was expecting chopped since it's called a cheesesteak. The good news, you'll see in the video, is the brisket filet cheesesteak reheats phenomenally well. I got the fried onions on it. They seem more like sauteed and big chunks which I prefer. The onions added a little sweetness. The brisket had some sweetness. Talkin about sweetness, holy matrimony guacamole sassafras slap my face, the pecan pie. First of all, don't go expecting that barbecue flava from down south and what have you. That ain't what ur gonna to get.
I happened upon this place purely by accident. I tried to make a u-turn and noticed the signs in the parking lot saying no u turn, and "Customer Parking Only". Now feeling obligated, I got out of my vehicle and went in to check it out.
After checking out the menu I decided to go ahead and get dinner for me and my Babe.
I ordered pulled chicken platter which came with the potato wedges and coleslaw. I also got sides of collard greens and mac and cheese.
It was all good said the least. I did enjoy it and I will be going back.
I do recommend, and I wish I would have followed the lead of the gentleman before me, by getting extra sauce on the side.
If you don't like spicy greens don't get'em. But I do mean to say that this ish was real good, IMO.
The pulled pork sandwich platter is what I got for my better half she said that the pork was nice and tender and as with my platter it could have used more sauce. Again I suggest getting extra sauce on the side. She really enjoyed the potato wedges, extremely good very different I love them too. She like the slaw but end up adding some Dukes mayonnaise to hers, that's her thing, nothing against the restaurant. 🙂 Like I said earlier I will go back and ask you can see in my photo I give this restaurant...A fork up.
I mean really what can be said. The meats here are so expertly crafted and those POTATO WEDGES. Wellllll worth the delivery and the sustainable packaging i love. Thank you for everything being so neat and just being exactly what you want.
First time visiting and was so happy I did!! I purchased a full slab platter the ribs were so delicious and tender and the sauce was also. I like my sauce a little spicy but didn’t ask for it because of my neice, I’ll purchase a side of sauce next time if she’s with me. I don’t eat potatoes wedges but my neice did the coleslaw was delicious but not big enough for a coleslaw lover I’ll order a extra side of coleslaw next time it was really delicious!! The ribs are the best I I have ever tasted trust me I can cook some ribs.. the ribs were GREAT
Order a slab and call it a day. Tender, juicy meat and the hot sauce for the ribs adds just the right touch of heat without being too aggressive. I'll be ordering again many times.
The baby back ribs are soooo tasty! I definitely recommend them 👌🏽
