There's a new champion for best pizza in the Independence Hall area. HUGE tasty slices for a great price. Once slice will fill you up. The crust is perfectly done, cheese to sauce ratio is just right and the sauce is excellent.
This is my go to lunch spot for pizza. The slices are huge and the dough is thin and crispy with a good chew. My biggest mistake coming here is ordering more than I can eat because it's so inexpensive and the pizza is so good. If you are in there area and like a NY style slice, this is the place for you.

PHENOMENAL FOOD! Clean restaurant. Great staff. I've been eating at Lazaro's for the last 15 years, and they are WONDERFUL. Everything on the menu is fantastic especially PIZZA, SALADS, AND WRAPS. I love Lazaro's and you will too.
The slices were really good, garlic knots are cheap (the good kind of cheap!) and best of all when I didn’t have a dollar bill for a water when I was leaving the person (owner?) made it complimentary. So great. Coming back.
Great tasting food and a nice atmosphere, but the portions relative to the price are pretty disappointing (mozzarella sticks specifically, as the pizza slices are huge). However, the staff is very friendly!
Another hidden gem! These guys make real NY style pizza! Large slices (not those miniscule slices that Philly likes to pretend are "large" LOL). You will come hungry and leave full. I often get their 2 slices + 1 can of soda special. I can hardly finish the second slice because they're so huge!
These guys are also very humble, down to earth, and like to talk and laugh and have a good time. Nothing fancy here. Just simple and good pizza.
