I went here recently for my birthday and absolutely loved it! My boyfriend and I shared the pepino pizza and strozzapreti pasta and both were amazing! I usually do not eat red meat and found the italian sausage in the pasta to be mild yet flavorful, pairing perfectly with the rest of the dish. We also were treated with complementary limoncello after dessert which put this place over the top for me, it was incredibly delicious and a refreshing end to the meal. We will definitely be back!
I lived in northern Italy for four years, and this is the first restaurant I’ve found in the five years since returning to the states that has reminded me of that wonderful place. We dropped in thinking tiramisu and limoncello, ended up with true Napolitano pizza, multiple desserts, wine, limoncello, espresso, and superb attention from the staff. It made me happier than I’ve been in a long time and every time I visit Phoenix, I WILL be coming back!
The mushroom soup was excellent! We had the ham, artichoke, black olive pizza, which was also excellent. The lemon stuff for dessert- superb! Our waiter, Manny, was THE BEST!! Highly recommend the place! Great atmosphere and food!
One of the best memories of our trip to States..I’m italian, Pomo’s pizza is exactly like in Italy, maybe better
Best pizza in town! Have had pizza in Naples, Italy and this is spot on, including the white plates the pizza is served on. Only difference is that in Naples it doesn’t come cut. You dig in with folk and knife. Highly recommended!
The best pizza I ever ate I live in Las Vegas and went to AZ for a quick getaway and found this place and I was blown away
Hands down the best Italian food we have ever had!!! If you haven’t been go today!!
Unbelievable!!! We had Eggplant app and Pomo Pizza!! Staff was super friendly. Food was quick and hot and delicious!!! David our server was so nice and invested in our happiness!! Don’t miss it!
Best pizza , great service I really recommend this place awesome people
Best vegan pizza ever😋😋🙌 so darn good seriously got to try it!!
One of the best Italian restaurants we have ever eaten at! Service was awesome and I always like it when the Chef stops at the table to see if we were enjoying the meal!
This place is the best. I come from the New Haven, Connecticut area (Capital City of Apizza snobs) and I go to Pomo every time I visit Phoenix.
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Not to be missed...
This is one of the best pizzas I've had outside of Italy! Light sauce, crunchy crust, great toppings.
Had a great birthday dinner last night with friends and and family. Jason our waiter was excellent and really made a difference. Food was delicious and the birthday girl got limoncello as well. We brought our own cake in and they served it with candles. All in all a fabulous time.
Fantastic bruchetta, incredible wood fired pizza, and Chianti. Incredible ambiance. I can see why Trip Advisor ranks them #2 in Phoenix of all restaurants. The only disappointment is that I was too full for dessert.
Really cute place downtown with easy parking and great traditional pizza with fantastic ingredients
Better than I could ever imagine! I'm from an Italian household and grew up in NY. This is second best only to a place I cherish in Brooklyn
Best pizza with fresh ingredients! Service is good even when it's busy. I'm from Wisconsin and we have good pizza but nothing compares to this.
GREAT service, EXCELLENT pizza and a wonderful location. Had the peppino ahs it was DEE-LICIOUS! A nice relaxing atmosphere on the patio with the fur babies.
La pizza è 100% Napoletana, lievitazione a più di 48 ore quindi molto digeribile. Gli ingredienti sono di prima qualità, assolutamente consigliata. Darei 6 stelle
One of the best pizzas ive ever tried
Che cena fantastica!!! Vera e ottima pasta all'italiana, una pizza veramente sublime!! La simpatia e la compagnia del titolare è stata la cigliegina sulla torta. Complimenti per tutto!! Vero orgoglio italiano!!!
Loved the food, loved the hospitality, owners management so polite and generous. Ordered the creme Brule for dessert.
Food was amazing, meatballs, calzone, margherita pizza and minestrone soup, pretty dam good
Maurizio was awesome! Great food. Great service!
Friendly staff, amazing pizza and appetizers!! Can't wait to go back!!
Loved this place, clean, basic, and good quality ingredients makes lunch a great lunch but meeting Signore Mateo, Owner, the very attentive waiter, my apologies did not got his name, and Fernando and Jonathan at the kitchen made this lunch even better. Grazie mille! Mateo molto grazie, creamy limoncello was out of this planet!

Amazing Food and Incredible Atmosphere. Daniel behind the bar is Awesome!
Local pizza joint with adjacent gelato bar. We were satisfied with our choices: fresh, generous portion. The place smells as it should: of pizza oven and tangy sauces. Our waitress was pleasant and accommodating. A young staff but not immature or diffident. Only criticism: the crust was a bit doughy for our tastes: not raw, but low on structure in a way that emulates being under-done. I think it may have been a matter of being under-proved rather than undercooked. But it was still delicious: seasoned beautifully with delicious toppings.
One other suggestion: offer cracked pepper and a little more dressing (I mean a TAD more) for the salad, and you’ll lift the experience just a wee bit further.
Atmosphere: casual, cozy, familial.
If you want gelato, be prepared to start a new ticket. It is not a part of the restaurant menu.
Visiting the area on a work trip and was in the mood for pizza. So glad I found Pomo!!! The pizza was fantastic!!! I also got some gelato, and it was fabulous! I wasn't drinking but sat at the bar and had wonderful service. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend Pomo!!!
We had the bruschetta with fig, mascarpone and prosciutto and it was such a delicious combination of flavors! Next we had the Capricciosa pizza with olives, artichoke, prosciutto and mushrooms…oh so good. Dough was excellent. Our server was friendly and the food was ready very fast. Would definitely recommend this spot!
one of the best pizza in town!! nice cocktails and beer(peroni on tap) as well.. the gnocchi was good as well.. try their gelato’s after for desserts! happy hour from 4-6 and 8-close, with half prices drinks! Allister was great serving us.
Unexpected, super delicious! Both the pasta and pizza were perfect. Also, really fast service, if you go on a Monday evening. I think this may be the best pizza I've had in the area. Better than Bianco's, for sure. There will be a wait if you on the weekend though. So be prepared, or reserve in advanced. Very recommended!
This place is amazing. First time here and honestly i didn’t like pizza much, but this is much more authentic and the ratio of cheese to tomato sauce is perfect. Our waitress was amazing as well. We ordered the Bufala Versace, and to our surprise was quite a big serving. Very cute decor as well.
Best traditional Roma pizza in the valley! Great food, service, and vibe. A must try downtown!
For any of my locals friends, this place resembles Goodfellas Pizza. The foods all good just doesn’t hit that epic level for Italian food. Service was amazing. But wood burning oven though, hello!
So brought the bestie here for a lunch date, the pizza was to die for! Unfortunately I cannot remember the name, but had pepperoni and honey, yes you read this right, honey of all things, I am not into sweet foods but this pizza you definitely have to give it a try! Plus if you add the chili oil, man, it takes it a couple levels up! Must try! If you go enjoy! Oh and there's this cute waiter with an accent 🤭 just saying, and he was super cool too.
Margherita pizza is definitely below the average, it’s watery and cheese easily fell off. Kinda disappointing.
Pasta is not bad, panini is great. Love the tiramisu and gelato.
❤️
Ordered the Gramigna Boscaiola, and a side salad.
The Cremini mushroom, sausage, cream, parmigiano had a great flavor. Sausage wasn’t overpowering and light bring all the flavors of the dish together.
❌Took over 20 mins to even get the host, who happened to be a busboy, cocktail server, waiter, and than host to even try and seat me.
While 3 other sets of people were standing in line ahead of me.
The food was worth the wait.❤️
I’ll be back hopefully they’ll get it together with the staff problem.
I had high hopes for second trip to Pizzeria Bianco, but the three-hour wait was just too much for me. Luckily, Pomo Pizzeria was nearby and saved the day. The Diavola pizza (hot soppressata, tomato san marzano dop, fior di latte,
basil) was like a spicy, cheesy love letter to my taste buds. The bread and olives were like the perfect opening act, and the olive oil balsamic vinegar mix was like the encore. I was left feeling satisfied and a little bit tipsy from all the olive oil.
The only downside was that the wait staff were a little too friendly, I felt like I was at a family reunion and my uncle was trying to set me up with the cousin. But hey, food is food and service is service, and in this case, they were both delicious.
Overall, Pomo Pizzeria is a great alternative if you don't want to spend half your day waiting in line for a table at the other place, and the Diavola pizza is a must-try. Just be prepared for some unwanted attention from the wait staff.
Quite possibly the best pizza I’ve had in years. Was in Phoenix for the weekend and ate here twice in three days, that says something lol. The taste is just perfect! If you’re in town, make sure to try out their pizza or pasta. You won’t regret it. My personal favorite is a pizza they call “Principe”, and we had it with vegan cheese rather than mozzarella.
Lovely Italian pizzeria restaurant near ASU. Food was decently prize. Pizza was delicious. Spaghetti bolognese was a little salty. My salad was wilted and not the freshest. Calamari was perfect. Pomo beer hit the spot. I love the ambiance. Place was clean

Had an incredible meal here on a Sunday evening! Zoey was our server and was truly one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She was attentive and polite without hovering and she offered great suggestions. Pomo has great vegan options - we ordered some pizza with vegan cheese and some amazing spicy pasta. Food came out right away too. Also the wine was delicious. We finished the night with some sorbet too! I totally recommend eating here!!!
Legit pizza Napolitano! We've chased Italian pizza all over the planet, and the Pomo crust is legit. The cornicione was impressive, the crust was thin and just like Italy... definitely coming back for more. Easy 5 stars.
What an awesome place with awesome staff and awesome food. Would go back any night or day!
First time in! Came in for a pre-game anniversary dinner and the quality was GREAT! We had two happy hour appetizers and shared a pizza. Finished it off with some strawberries and cream Gelato! Samantha was very nice and efficient. It's a good thing I don't live closer, I'd be in there almost every day.
