Great sandwiches and OK tots in a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff. The Ruben was OK, needed more meat, which was lost in this sandwich with its vibrant kraut and dressing and last bites with no meat at all. Corned beef sort of tasted like pot roast, but was good. Tots not entirely crispy. Beer cheese soup was too bitter with a bad aftertaste. Fun place to eat.
For a spot smack dab in the middle of Central Phx. directly South of the Light Rail and Central Bus Station, I was overly excited to learn that they have Coors Beer $1.10 per can. Lets not forget the most "incredible" spicy grilled cheese sandwich. I would have never imagined if I hadn't tasted it for myself!! I will be returning!!
The sandwiches were on point here. I had the rurben which had the right amount of meat and bread. My wife had the Miami Vice ehich is a Cubano which was delicious. My wife said it could have used a little more mustard. Also my daughter had the spring chicken which was a very refreshing bite because of the avacado and tomato. My younger daughter had the ham grill cheese. All were great and i would definitely eat here again.
Really great sandwiches and sides. Vegetarian and vegan sandwiches are available.
I can’t say enough good things about the pretzels and beer cheese sauce; very delicious. The Sprang Chicken was a great sandwich too.
Even Steven also advertises that they donate food to those in need for every sandwich they sell.
Totally worth the parking situation, it being downtown. Will definitely return! Light rail operates rights in font of establishment. Live music was a plus...on a Friday evening.
Food was good. Unique, industrial but warm atmosphere. Some interesting vegetarian and vegan options too. We got a Reuben without the meat, and it was just as good. You might want to custom order it. Jackfruit torta was creative, but not a standout, flavorwise. I'd go back.
I visited this spot for breakfast. They had nice covered outdoor seating, but since I was not used to the Arizona heat, I went inside for my breakfast.
The inside was quite large, with lots and lots of seating options. Since the spot is located at the corner lot, it was very bright in the inside with natural light.
To the left of the entrance is the order counter. When I walked in around 8:30am, it was empty… I was expecting some king of a morning rush, but I don’t think I saw a single soul in here… But, that didn’t stop me from getting my breakfast.
I ordered a Breakfast Sandwich that comes with two eggs and choice of meat or avocado, cheddar cheese on Hawaiian Bun. For meat, I wanted pork belly, but the staff told me that they don’t offer pork belly option any more…how sad...
The sandwich was pretty darn tasty! Hawaiian bun was like a softer pretzel buns, with little sweetness to it. The eggs were fluffy, and bacon strips were crunchy, cloud-like buns...yum! Another thing I loved was that it came with tater tots instead of home fries. The tater tots were nothing really special, but comforting. It was quite filling, I took about half of it back with me.
Another treat I got was their sugar cookie, for FREE!!! How? Well, I checked in at this spot with Yelp, and it gave me a free cookie! Yes!
The staff here was not very friendly, but nice enough and willing to help.
Definite place to check out, food is absolutely delicious great portions for such a low price, great atmosphere and music , helpful and friendly staff
Great service and super good food. They of both sweet (berry compote stuffed French toast) and savory (spicy tater tots) for breakfast selections. I will be returning tomorrow?
The premise was originally why I came here the first time, but the food is off the hook! I have had the Reuben and the grilled cheese and they were both wonderful. Good flavor, good portion size, and the atmosphere is in keeping with a place that gives to its community. I love it here.
We had the ham/cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. Their customer service was great and enjoyed the layout of the restaurant.
Yummy sandwiches, friendly staff - I love having the option of fruit with my lunch instead of chips. All around great spot to grab a quick bite!
Simple choices, nice atmosphere and good food
Great live music.....great party tots...great Mimosa.....a must when in downtown Phoenix....oh yeah wonderful staff!!!!! Thanks for a great evening.....
As we walked in one of the employees (red hair fair skin? Missed his name) was serving someone their food, as he grabbed a few menus and handed them to us. I asked for a suggestion on different beers and he gave me a great choice. We even talked about other products as he politely gave us our table settings. He was a perfect gentlemen and a great host the entire time we were at the establishment. The always friendly and inviting atmosphere, along with the tasty food and beverage options and the give back opportunity makes me love his place.
I'd like to start by saying that I totally respect that they do so much for the community. That is very admirable.
Onto the food-
I had the Do Gouda and Party Tots. In total, they're both an 8/10. Nothing special, but pretty good. Wasn't a big fan of the salad dressing. I love the setting in here. Very large, open, and relaxed. Pricing is alright. Sandwich was $9.25 and the tots were $5.
Even Steven's continues to have some of the best sandwiches in the area and this location doesn't disappoint either. Setting is the same: wide open spaces with great seating and fun board games to pass the time with friends. Staff is friendly and informative.
IMO, the Do Gouda sandwich they serve is one of the best sandwiches period, and we'll worth the trip and money, but you can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches on their menu.
Excellent sandwiches! The service is super friendly and fast as well. Plenty of seating in a cool open and hip space. Sandwiches come with a pickle and chips or salad, and they are delicious! My favorite is their vegan wich, the jackfruit torta. Can get pretty busy at the lunch rush hour, but it's worth the wait in my opinion!
Reuben was phenomenal!! Red cabbage and house sauce is delicious!! They have a variety of beers which we didn't try but were there. Husband got the pot roast dip with jalapeno jelly which was also delicious. If we ever come back to Phoenix we will be stopping again.
