Wow! Great sandwich! Friendly staff & clean restaurant. Love the choices of all the different tea’s. Menu was smaller than what was posted on the other reviews..which was a little bit of a bummer but regardless i loved the number 26 that i ordered, food came out quickly. I wish they had the option of soup on the menu to pair perfectly with your sandwich. I will definitely come back to try some breakfast items. ***breakfast & lunch served all day***

I will agree with their saying, "best toasted sandwiches." I loved my sandwich and definitely be coming back. Please open a location in Chandler!! I had the #50, which is a vegetarian sandwich. Thinly sliced potatoes on the sandwich worked perfectly, and it was toasted to perfection. Kale side salad was great, too.

Love this spot! Can’t believe I hadn’t reviewed it yet. My go-to is the #45 as it is. Hard to go wrong with this. I also really like the #26 which we got this time as well. The come cut in half which makes them perfect for sharing! It can be a little expensive but with the sandwich and kale salad combo, compared to other options in the area, we feel it’s a good value. Lastly, they stock the bathroom with 2-ply haha. Might not seem like much but it is greatly appreciated!!

We had our first visit here in September and this place is amazing! First off, it's nice to go somewhere and not have to stress about finding a parking spot. This can make or break me coming back to a place more often. They are in a good corner of the shopping plaza and I haven't had an issue finding parking (yay!) I took my daughter out for lunch and upon our initial visit they have a nice little patio out front for those cooler days. Inside they had a lot of seating and cozy spots to catch up with a friend. Service at the counter was fast and ordering was easy. Although there are a lot of options so give yourself a minute to grab a paper menu if you don't want to read it on the overhead board (ah the pressure of reading through the list trying to make a decision when a cashier is staring at you)! I loved that when there was someone in line waiting, another employee came up to ask if we wanted to step to another station to order (very attentive and efficient service). My daughter wanted a traditional grilled cheese and they were quick to accommodate. She just loved how gooey it was! I ordered the #15 turkey with a side kale salad nd without a doubt, best sandwiches ever. Even as I'm writing this I think I'll go back for lunch tomorrow. I noticed a lot of people stopping in for coffee or breakfast. I also loved that they offered mimosas. So I had to test it out! Really impressed with this place and wish I had gone sooner. Great food, great service. Definitely a top favorite.

Zookz has earned a reputation as one of the best sandwich shops in Phoenix. Their unique, round sandwiches are not just a meal, but a delightful experience that leaves a lasting impression. It's challenging to aptly describe a Zookz sandwiche – they're not quite like anything else. Made with a light, almost pastry-like bread, each sandwich is crafted with a custom Panini-style press, sealing the ingredients inside a crusty, delicious edge. My personal favorite is No. 10, a mouth-watering blend of roasted turkey, Parmesan, apples, cranberries, almonds, and a sweet heat mustard sauce, perfectly complemented by a side of baby kale salad and a refreshing botanical tea from their selection of five. The ambience at Zookz adds to its charm. With a quaint outdoor seating area, large pivoting glass doors, and bright, inviting colors, the place has an 'it' factor that's hard to miss. The open windows bridge the indoor space with the patio, enticing passersby with the aroma of their signature sandwiches. Whether you're a local or just passing through Phoenix, Zookz is a must-visit for an unforgettable sandwich experience that keeps you coming back for more.

I recently visited Zookz restaurant on Central after hearing about it on social media. To be honest, I didn't have very high expectations, but I was excited as it reminded me of the sandwiches my mom used to make for us when we were little. Let me tell you, I was in for a delightful surprise. I opted for the NO 44 sandwich, and it was cooked to perfection. Each bite was filled with a burst of flavors, and I enjoyed every single one. The attention to detail and the care put into the food was truly evident. The service at Zookz was top-notch, and the staff made me feel welcomed and valued. The establishment itself was remarkably clean, creating a pleasant atmosphere for dining. While waiting for my food, I had the opportunity to read the heartwarming story of how this establishment came to be. It was displayed on the wall, and it truly touched my heart. It added a special touch to the overall experience. I visited Zookz during breakfast time, and I was so captivated by the taste and quality of the sandwiches that I decided to take some home for my family. They were equally impressed and couldn't stop asking where I had gone. The fact that they, too, loved the sandwiches says a lot about the incredible taste of Zookz's offerings.

Food was delicious... Very fluffy egg white frittata. Plus sides; their wait for the meal wasn't bad and the restaurant is very clean. Very nice staff. The fresh ice tea was very refreshing, love the use of fresh ingredients. Kale salad and potato salad are also very good. The only downside is that the crust on the outside of the sandwich is a little difficult to eat.

First time here, was actually greeted at the door by a nice lady, i wish i had gotten her name. She went over the menu and popular items, so friendly and helpful, don't see that much anymore. The atmosphere was amazing, if it wasn't so warm out would have enjoyed sitting outside. I had the no. 10 turkey with apples and a delicious kale mandarin salad. Definitely will be back!!

The place is super cute with friendly staff. I like sitting outside under the misters. The best part is the coffee, which beats my favorite coffee shop in price. They have tasty flavor options and almond milk too (75¢ extra). The sandwiches are super unique and pretty good. It's worth a try at least once. The flavors mash together inside but the sandwich crust is pretty cool and crispy. They're more expensive but this is a great place for a casual outing! There's plenty of indoor and patio seating with parking nearby. Tip: make sure to look at the crust lips so that the shorter one is on top. I flipped mine and then it started leaking

Zooks was good! They are warm sandwiches similar to “hobo pies” I used to make with a similar contraption over an open fire/coals while camping. I tried the number 68 and honestly the chorizo was not very good at all. I wouldn’t recommend that. However the rest of the sandwich was good quality and I would go back to try something else. The counter service was not very friendly or helpful, which was kinda disappointing but not the worst. FYI- if you dine in they should give you a table number for your order :) I liked the patio seating and the variety of indoor seats too though.

This is a cool idea of a Sandwhich like an uncrustable Sandwhich that you had as a kid. The ingredient combination inside tasted pretty good but nothing super memorable. Reliable lunch spot for sure. Just nothing super special.

I am always looking for something new and Zookz toasted sandwiches are most definitely different. The sandwiches are squeezed in a device which seals and trims the edges of the bread into a round then heated. I enjoyed the burger while Gigi chose Ham and cheese. Our family had one of these sandwich toaster tool in the 50's, but I never considered all the filling that Zookz uses. I also enjoyed the quiet small dining area and the large front door that is hinged about 18 inches from one side, unique like their sandwich and I'm easily entertained.

The food was good, the staff was great, and we liked the atmosphere. It's a little pricey for what you get, but I'd definitely go back. We came on a Saturday around 1PM. There wasn't a line, but there were a couple people waiting for their food. When we ordered the woman at the counter was extremely friendly and personable and their menu is pretty straight forward, making it an easy process. After ordering you're handed a number and we got our drinks and sides and sat at the bar overlooking Camelback. My only complaint about this part of the process is that all their sides are in plastic containers in a cold bar, like you might find pre-packaged food at a deli. It felt a bit wasteful compared to maybe plated to order sides in a cardboard bowl or something. The food didn't take long, and everything was good. The mustard on my No. 20 was fantastic, and the potato salad and kale salad were both different takes on the dishes but we're both fantastic. The No. 35 was good as well, but it was pretty horseradish forward. The atmosphere while we were eating was nice, older rock music, but quiet enough to hold a conversation. My only other complaints were they only offer plastic utensils, even for dine in, and the prices were a little higher than I'd have liked. For two sandwiches (sides included), a potato sidekick, a coffee, and a tea our total was $42. I'd have been happier to be somewhere closer to $35 for the quality of the food.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Zooks Sandwiches in Phoenix is a hidden gem, truly embodying the spirit of a family-owned establishment. I had the pleasure of visiting with my friend, the meteorologist Ian Schwartz. Our choice was the 23, and I opted for hamburger instead of the chicken. The result? Simply amazing! The freshness and quality of the ingredients were top-notch, making every bite a delight. A must-visit for sandwich enthusiasts seeking an exceptional dining experience.

So good! Just wish they had a few more options. I got the no.60 and it was delicious! The pulled pork was perfect and the cheese added a little extra! The bread is so good and different and added a crispy grilled cheese texture! Their lemonade is amazing and is so good on a hot day in Phoenix! Next time you’re craving sandwiches this is definitely the place to go!

Ok, this place was a gem. From a warm greeting on arrival through a tutorial of the many meal choices it was great. The special was the sandwich of choice today and it did not disappoint. The staff working behind the counter had great energy and were genuine and friendly. All in all, a great lunch that makes me already planning my return visit.

Great food but has gotten ridiculously expensive!!! $4 for adding eggs to the sandwich so it cost me $22 for a small sandwich & a drink! Let's not normalize that!
