AJ's Fine Foods is simply amazing! The store is always clean and tidy, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I frequent this place for their fantastic floral arrangements which are absolutely breathtaking and worth every penny. Even though AJ's Fine Foods is on the higher end in terms of pricing for groceries the quality of products is unbeatable. My all-time favorite thing about this place is their iced teas, especially the large passion tea with orange slice which is an absolute steal at under $2. Plus, the cookies they offer for kids are a great way to keep them happy while shopping. Overall, AJ's Fine Foods is definitely a go-to place. I would highly recommend everyone to check it out!
The food and coffee in there are great. You can also eat the food you bought outside in a patio area. Also, there is a large selection of wines. The fresh meat section is filled with all kinds of fresh meat. Anything you could think of I think it’s really great. I love it.
I haven’t visited an AJ’s location in FOREVER (there used to be one a lot closer to me but they closed down years ago and was replaced with a goodwill); so I recently came here to visit their coffee shop. My mom has been obsessed with their coffees as of late and recently she introduced me to their coffee. I usually order a large iced chai latte with oat milk, which is not too bad. I was pleasantly surprised with the cup size of my drink. You get great value for your money with the generous portion, and their drinks are half the price of those from Starbucks (and their portions are smaller)! They even offer a great loyalty program in store! I would definitely come here more often if this location weren’t so far in distance.
This place seems fine but it does give me an up charging for basic ingredients that you could also get at any other grocery store. They do have a fresh fish market and baked goods, but I didn't participate in that. I went in to grab a quick snack and dip back out. The prices aren't too bad but it definitely is setting a higher price precedent for the other grocery stores where you might be able to get it for cheaper.
I think if you're looking for things that are made by the employees here then you've got a better reason to come here. It's similar to whole foods like you can buy the fresh groceries there or get a specific brand or whatever. But I think if you also have the intention with your shopping to shop at a place like whole foods, then it makes more sense.

I am glad to write a new review for this AJ's location. I came here on Easter for brunch and had a beautiful and delicious ham, yams and green beans. I sat out on the outside patio and completely enjoyed our weather. Thank you for the great food and beautiful environment.
The specialty pizza is great! I ordered a chicken pizza and the pizza Chef prepared it in good time! #yum #options
Delicious pizza by the slice. I really don't expect high quality prepared foods from most grocery stores. While I haven't had some of AJ's Fine Foods other prepared foods, I keep coming back for a slice or two of their pizza, prepared and cooked on site. The slices are a very decent size and quite reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and fun, sometimes with a witty remark or two. It is on my list when I want something fast and delicious for lunch or dinner.

I am AMAZED by their cakes + their customer service. I came in and gave my vision of what I wanted for my sister’s 21st and when I saw the cake I was astounded.
When I went to go pick up the cake, I was greeted by their bakery staff & was presented the first cake (the smaller one). It was amazing! I couldn’t have asked for something better. On the drive home, I heard a noise and saw that the cake was cracking a bit at the bottom which made it almost fall. They tried apologizing for it, but I knew it wasn’t their fault at all! With this AZ heat, keeping a fragile cake together was not easy so I called them and explained the situation and they offered me a new cake that was more sturdy than the one I designed! They even offered to make it the exact same way as the first one.
When I saw the second cake, it was exactly the same as the first but thicker & everything I wanted and more! Everyone at AJs who saw it stopped to give compliments! Did not budge on the drive home at all. Thank you AJs bakery staff for making this a memorable and easy experience, I will definitely be going here for my future cakes to come. They did a wonderful job & everyone loved it.
I can't begin to tell you. How much joy, I have getting baked goods here there bakery is out of this world so many varieties you'll have a hard time deciding what to get today I got the double chocolate muffin and a large robust coffee which the coffees is super amazing as well love getting me so aj in the am
We’ve lived in North Central Phoenix for over a year and shame on us for not stopping in sooner. What a great grocery store and shopping experience. Knowledgeable butchers with quality meat, extensive deli/ prepared foods and good wine selection. My new favorite grocery store hands down. So long Sprouts, Safeway and Fry’s. We’ll be back again and again.

Absolutely Amazing! My favorite place to shop. I picked up some pastries and a Berries "N Cream cake on my way back to CA and they were a hit with my friends. The baked goods here are divine and scrumptious. I've never had an unpleasant cake or pastry, everything I've had from here has been a delightful experience. The staff here are kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I wish we had an AJ's here in SoCal. Until then, I will continue to drive the 6hrs one way for the well worth deliciousness.
Love the pastry, hate the parking. The bear claws are worth it but I always get alot of stuff. Love AJ's
I normally avoid gourmet supermarkets because of how expensive they tend to be. I was shocked to see prices were extremely reasonable for imported items I would have thought to be much more expensive. I got great tray Serrano Ham for less than $7, a can of smoked oysters for less than $3, and excellent fresh sushi, for less than I pay at common supermarkets and far higher quality.
I will be returning weekly, and also wondering what else I've been avoiding for apparently wrong reasons...
