It was our first time in Phoenix and we found this spot after leaving the airport. I have never had hash browns this good! All of the food was amazing and cooked perfectly! I could eat here every day. The staff is exceptional and it was a very pleasant experience.
I recently took my family to Elleys brunch cafe for the first time, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Allow me to highlight our wonderful visit to this charming establishment.
Upon arriving at Elly’s, there was absolutely no wait time. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and promptly shown to our seats.
We ordered a variety of dishes, The cobb salad was fresh, crisp, the pancakes and fries were great, The classic breakfast with eggs, sausage patty, and hash browns was a hearty and scrumptious combination that pleasantly satisfied our morning cravings.
The ambiance of Elleys Cafe was also fantastic. The cozy and inviting atmosphere added to our overall dining experience, making it even more enjoyable.
Their prompt seating, friendly staff, delectable food, and charming ambiance set the stage for a great time.
This was a decent place. I had the lox Benedict which was average and my wife had the patty melt which was also average. The environment was nice and the place was clean, so nothing to complain about. In fairness to the place, we did not order what was recommended.
I tried the steak and wild mushrooms skillet, which was delicious. Nice atmosphere with a cool patio. My only complaint was the slow service. Overall, 4 stars 🌟
We were looking for a breakfast place yesterday & found this place. Love the food, love the atmosphere, & love the price. I got the Southwest omlette. It was good & very filling!
WOW! The food here is so delicious! I ordered the regular french toast and it was cooked perfectly. The bread was so fluffy with a nice hint of sweetness that didn’t make you feel like you were drinking syrup. They were also very accommodating as I also asked for a side of just a skirt steak. I ordered it rare and they knew how to cook it to the perfect temperature that I had asked for and it was oh so flavorful. My husband order the Lox Benedict which he says “was on point”. There service was also of excellence, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The environment had such a upbeat and warm feel.
With the expectation the the wait would be longer than usual, we still went and had a great brunch. I had the skillet which was fantastic.
3rd visit : Betty cooked the best omelets ever. I had the southwest and my wife had morning sunrise along with pancakes. Coffee was excellent and so was the service. You won't be disappointed.
Good food, great location!
2nd visit was even better. Our server was so nice. Very attentive and made good suggestions. Added blueberries to the batter for the pancakes… great idea. Had the chicken sausage.
Although staffing was short, the atmosphere was good. I had the southwestern omelette and a smoothie and it was very good. I would definitely come back if I was to come back to AZ to visit.
This place has a great vibe, lovely outdoor seater and inside is very spacious. A lot of variety on the menu which is great. It was tough to make a select because everything looked so good. I went with the Sticky Bun, it was very filling great taste but over priced. I think this should be a side that some one can add on. It was valued to high for what you get. The skillet seemed to be the way to go. My friends really enjoyed the skillet and you get a good amount of food with variety. I would definitely come back to try more items on the menu. Just was a solid service all around. Excited to try something else on the menu. Coffee was great too. Just gives me hometown breakfast place vibes and I love it.
The atmosphere was very casual and inviting. Got seated right away with 4 adults and a baby stroller. Food was also enjoyable. Will likely make a few more visits within the next few months!
Great breakfast joint. Lots of seating and service was great; quick and friendly! I was able to be seated quickly. The pancakes I had were delicious and blueberries were fresh! I wasn’t a fan of the melons because they didn’t taste as fresh but they were not horrible. Will be back for sure!
I walked in this place randomly and honestly wasn’t expecting anything I never looked up reviews. I have to say that the place was packed and service was slow, but it’s understandable since the staff was running all over the place. The food was really good overall but the only reason I gave it a 4 stars is because of the Chilaquiles. Even though the flavor was really good, the sauce was wayyy too thin and the chips were very soggy when the plate arrived to the table. I’m a huge fan of Chilaquiles and this was a real bummer! I think maybe serving the sauce on the side should be standard or maybe thickening it would fix it. Other than that the cornbeff hash was amazing and so were the pancakes and hot chocky milk! I recommend this place, just not the Chilaquiles!!
It was very delicious, nice staff. Only problem I had was a fly kept bothering customers. But other than that very nice place.
Very friendly staff and beautiful decor. Their terrace is pretty and there’s plenty of shade so it works for a summer morning in Phoenix. The food was really good and the latte as well. They should take actions to get rid of the flights, there were too many, it was really uncomfortable.
I've come to a couple of times to eat breakfast; sometimes the food will be ok and other times are worst. I had Chilaquiles Verdes and they were super dried, with not enough green sauce. I asked the waitress for extra sauce and brought me the hot sauce bottles. But the only thing that I won't be disappointed with is the GERMAN PANCAKE. That's the only reason that makes come to this place, it is so delicious and you must order once they take your order because it's baked and takes about 45mins. You must be patient because it's always packed in here.
We ate outside at the farthest table. Probably the best spot since you get the whole area as a nice background. Got a coffee, didn't expect anything fancy, received fancy.
Went to Elly's with a friend for breakfast on New Year's Eve. The place was packed! Waited about 10 minutes to be seated (told 10 minutes so all is good). Ordered the Southwest omelette with pancakes. The pancakes were very good! The Omelette was a little mushy but it tasted okay the pancakes really stood out though. Before the food, water was delivered in a carafe which I thought was cool. My soda was in thick glassware, also cool. Overall, good breakfast 👍 waiter nice and checked on us throughout. Good job staff.
I gave 4 stars for the food and I would give 2 stars for the service. We were sat next to two employees rolling silverware when there looked to be a station for it. Normally it wouldn’t be an issue I get being on your feet all day is a lot, but they gossiped and chatted the whole time and didn’t use the most appropriate language. Not very professional. Also because they were sitting chatting our food sat for a while until another group of servers called our servers name about 4 times to get his attention to get our food out to us. Plus I ordered a peach Bellini and I was never asked if I wanted another.
Food was pretty good. I had the berry mascarpone French toast and I really enjoyed it. My hash browns were a little cold. The kids enjoyed their pancakes and they looked pretty good. The sticky bun French toast was what someone else in our party ordered and it was pretty good as well.
I personally didn’t have a problem with the music but I will say it wasn’t very family friendly so may be something to be aware of if that sort of thing bothers you.
All in all it was an ok experience. Not super great. Not the worst. Probably wouldn’t go here again.
