The hype is real. This place has been around 65 years and I had the best burger of my life there. Staff was friendly, service was quick and prices were extremely reasonable. They’ve definitely gained a new customer.
Came down to AZ from MN for a few days. Had no idea where to grab a burger so hit the web and decided to give Harvey's a try.
These burgers are amazing! Go here. No windows, interesting atmosphere (cool, pleasant folks). The patty melt was awesome! We'll definitely be back. Cold drinks, full bar. Reasonable prices!
It's a dive! That is a compliment if you like dives. Amazing food good service and a great selection of booze and beer. The prices make this a 5 star establishment. The burgers are fresh, great quality and prepared to the right temperature. I had the Garlic Patty melt and it was one of the best I have had. The firs and onion rings were delicious, and we had jalapeno poppers, also quite good. I will be back frequently.
First timer.. Had one of the best burgers of my life along with some wings. Some good tunes were playing and it was a good vibe there.. It gets busy so grab a few drinks and sit back and chill. I promise it's worth the wait.
Love this spot! Little while in the wall dive bar but it’s has a ton of regulars and its atmosphere is so chill. I’ve never felt as comfortable at any other bar. And the bartenders are the friendliest. Their patty melt sandwich is the best!
Do yourself a favor and go! Mushroom burger was phenomenal. Service was great and everyone was super friendly! It definitely had a dive bar feel, but I didn't feel out of place!
I recently moved to Phoenix, I would highly recommend this local establishment! Great food, great service, great people. They stay busy so when you get in stay patient and you will be very happy with food and service!
Great bar for the service industry. We love coming here after a long shift. Service is great, food really hits the spot. We love y’all. I’m a bourbon fan and I love their selection and prices.
I had gone to Target with my partner to buy some candles for a romantic evening when from the corner of my eye I spotted “Harvey’s Wineburger”. The building looks ominous such as to invite a dagger to the side of the torso and bleed out before the authorities can come to the rescue. Jokingly, I said to my beloved “How about an intimate evening in that establishment?” My parter laughed and said “do you wish to end your life ever so desperately?”
I do tend to romanticize death, Shakespeare has been quite the figure in my life. I suggested to my partner that we should look at the reviews, we were very surprised to find out that it was a food and drink establishment not only a bar.
To note we decided we would visit it for dinner sometime in the next couple of days, we love a good burger.
When you enter the building it does look like a bar, there are alcoholic beverages of choice, beer, bottled beer, wine & cocktails, and fountain drinks for the minors.
You seat yourself where there is space available and the staff is friendly and they are quick on their feet tending to their customers. We picked a table to sit and browsed the menu, while we waited to take our order we enjoyed the diverse music selection. There was rock, pop, and hip-hop, they even played “Banana Phone” it was quite delightful.
I ordered the “Winecheeseburger” with Swiss cheese and my partner order “The Islander” specialty burger, to accompany the burgers we hot jalapeño poppers. As you can see by the pictures the food is fresh and the cheese is really melty, the burger patty is seasoned exquisitely and is very savory, the onion rings and poppers have a satisfying crunch. We were ASTOUNDED that the food was first class. *chefs kiss*
Prices are also reasonable and we are glad to have found this hole in the wall place. My partner and I will be returning. 10/10
This is a small cozy dive bar with THE BEST BURGERS! We tried the sampler and a burger each. The sample is okay but the burgers blew us away! Nice thick patty and a fluffy bun. The beer was cheap and service outstanding! We were never left with an empty cup. I'll definitely be back!
Burgers are so great! The best in the whole state. The waitress and cook were so nice and attentive. Love coming here. The only thing that would make it better is if the carried Deep Eddy Lemon.
Just a fantastic hole in the wall dive bar. Great vibe. Dark. But. Clean. Nice. Fantastic home made feel burger cooked perfectly. Satisfying fries but AMAZING onion rings. Fantastic batter, great crunch. A great find in Phoenix. Check it out ASAP!
One of the best kept secrets of Phoenix! Total dive bar which adds to it's uniqueness - because this is the last place I would expect to find killer burgers and wings! Sizeable Burger flat top crust BUT not a smash burger. Tons of options and modifications for toppings, fries, rings, wings, and even the egg rolls were killer. Pool tables, juke boxes, TV, and full service bar. My go to Burger joint!
Best hamburgers in the state hands down! Great low key place. Employees are very cool. Enjoy every time to go. Keep up the great work.
One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. It was juicy and seasoned perfectly. Margarita wasn't great. You can taste that they use artificial flavoring. But if you want a regular cold beer or simple cocktail this is your place. It's dark and there's a pool table. It's your basic dive bar with great food.
One of the best burgers I've ever had.. ok it was a garlic patty melt but OMG goodness..then there is the regular patty melts the Islander burger the poppers..
....the staff Is amazing and never forget, it's a bar with some pretty damn good drinks too - also some decent pool tables
Dive bar with great service and the BEST burgers! Had a great time with friends while we were in town. We ate, drank, played pool (poorly) and had great conversation.
Ohhhhh Harvey’s Wineburger, how do I love you so? lol I’ve thought I’d try being poetic. As you can see, even tho I share the same name as Mr Shakespeare, I don’t share how talent with words. That said, let me get right to it!
This place is definitely dive-y but it’s cozy all at the same time and that’s what makes this establishment so endearing. I have a soft spot for dive bars in my city. Call it “supporting local” or “supporting small business” At the end of a long bartending shift, I love to come to this place to be served great service and great food by Patty and the cook (I’m sorry, his name always escapes me).
Is it the healthiest of options to choose from? Absolutely not! But I don’t go to a dive bar for that. I wanted a hot and fried meal before I went home and Harvey Wineburgers did not disappoint.
