The beer selection was very limited (they had 4 on tap), though their Gose was really good and friendly service.
Found this tasty brewery while visiting Phoenix over the holidays. We were happy to learn that they open at 11am on weekdays. Their menu is more original than just “bar food”, too. We enjoyed the cheese tasting board, even though it was missing the apricots and one of the cheeses (according to the menu description). The waffles filled with pulled pork, peppers, and cheese are ridiculously delicious! The bartendress was friendly and made 2 out-of-town visitors feel very welcomed. Solid selection of brews rounded out our great experience.
Servers were friendly, although not the quickest to recognize our existence. Beer was okay, but nothing special. Food was excellent. Their pricing was very reasonable. It's a spot I will try again. Music was a nice selection of 90's alternative. The tasting glasses were unique.
I was here with a party of 3 and 2 dogs, and the wait staff was very helpful and friendly here. I got to try the pretzel, the burrata cheese salad and the nachos with pork. I really liked the mustard they serve with the pretzels. And I got to try the Milk Stout beer and the Grapefruit Beer, both were very good, the milk stout was very rich and not too alcoholic which is nice. I would say this place has a great atmosphere as well, very modern.
Great tasting room. I had the pretzel and pilsner, nice combo. Will be back. The pretzels are from the Old Heidelberg Bakery and come with a tasty housemade mustard and cheese sauce. My friend had the nachos with chicken and you get a healthy portion, enough to split.
This place has a great selection of craft beers. Their milk stout is very good. They are a little heavy on the pales. We had their grilled cheese, which was pretty basic, but still tasty. Their bathrooms are clean and well tended (unisex). There is seating outside with heaters. Plenty of different kinds of seating all over, inside and out. The typical bar games are available. Friendly staff, but when it's busy it is some times hard to get their attention.
If you are looking for a place with a wide selection of drinks, good atmosphere and activities, this is the place! Helton has a great selection of home brews and their menu also includes drinks from other breweries and wineries.
They have expanded their food menu and I love the savoury waffles.
*** They do brunch now with $0.01 mimosas refills! Chorizo biscuits and gravy was amazing!***
This is a great place for groups and coupes. There are lots of games like blocks, darts, shuffleboard, corn hole and a pool table.
$6 draft beers. Staff is friendly and courteous. There's a pool table. Music can be a bit loud. High ceilings gives it a roomy feel, nice for a hot summer evening.
Tried the Scotch style. A touch of hops with smooth flavor. Easy to drink.
Parking is a bit limited (only a dozen or so spots).
They have interesting deals like $100 for 13 pitchers or something like that. They also serve food but I haven't tried their food menu.
Enjoyed the beer, the vibe and the selection. They have great snack items and friendly staff, the beer selection is good! They no longer have wine (had it a long while ago) which is totally fine for a brewery(I go for the beer) but others that join the beer snobs may wish for a drink to socialize with as well.
The environment at Helton is one where you could come and hang solo or come and hang with friends for hours. Yes, I was that person that couldn’t make up my mind regarding what I wanted to drink. So, Dawn Marie, their awesome beer tender wasn’t afraid to take the reins and pour me a flight of beers. I was surprised at how awesome the sour was-not too tart and not too sweet. The Scotch Ale ran a close second for me :) The owner, Brian is an incredibly humble and kind person. He was out on the floor when I arrived, which I think always speaks to the integrity of the business!
