A great local ethnic bakery with best tortillas and pasteries! The tamales and burritos are worth mentioning along with the arroz con leche!

One of the best Mexican bakeries I’ve ever tried. Very inexpensive and delicious. We got a wide variety of pastries in a huge bag for cheap. The staff are very nice but there was a language barrier, so we ordered mostly through pointing. Everything we tried was really good. You could taste the quality. The items we didn’t get to right away held up and reheated well.

Neighborhood bakery located in the stripped mall. Famous for tortilla! The staffs were very friendly and fast. The price is very affordable. I would recommend you to try their chili buritos. It’s the must! The tortilla was newly made stuffing with chili, potato and carnitas.

Went to the other branch on my last trip to Phoenix and couldn't leave this time without getting some more Mexican baked stuff. Much smaller outlet then the original store but definitely the same good quality product! No lines at all, so the person working there was able to describe everything we wanted to know about. Peach Empanada was amazing! Filling was not too sweet, and kinda felt too little at one point, but the crust totally made up for it! Flaky and suddenly sweet and went really well with the filling. I would totally be able to have five at a time! Bigotes (like to concha but little more dense and had the pink koncha topping swirled inside, and powdered sugar on top) was SO GOOD! It looks like a croissant but it was actually a bread. Very distinct flavor and so so good and addictive! Super soft Conchas! So fresh and light and airy as well. Very easy to devour in under a minute, haha. Flan was soft and smooth and sweet as last time. No sugary sweet and just the right amount of caramel flavor and overall a beautiful one. Husband also got the square pastry with coconut on top and a dollop of vanilla pudding in the middle. He really loved it but I wasn't too much of a fan because of the coconut and pastry going on.

Tamales & tortillas are the bomb but I wasn't impressed with the bakery items I got (pan dulce was dry, old & had no flavor & pumpkin empanadas were horrible - the pumpkin puree was ok but the crust just wasn't good at all)maybe I just need to try some of there other baked goods bc they do have a huge assortment

Tried this place this morning, mainly to get their flan for my sister's birthday. Decided to get a pumpkin empanada and try their green chili burritos. Oh my gosh, the pumpkin empanada is the best I've had. The burritos were very tasty and pretty perfect. Didn't try the flan yet but sure it's amazing also. A new favorite place for us.

Only tried one thing from the bakery but it was good and reasonably priced. They also have burritos and tamales they felt a little overpriced. Workers were very nice

Ordered a tres leches cake from here and even though it’s not the same style that we do in Puerto Rico, it was still really good and flavorful. Had some pastry with coconut flakes and vanilla cream that was amazing!

So fresh, soft, and flavorful! The fresh tortillas are delicious. I'll have to return to try the tamales, burritos and menudo (menudo only on weekends). Staff was kind as well.

I got married back in April and been meaning to leave a review for La Purísima Bakery, they were just amazing I didn’t have a cake 3 weeks before my wedding and was not wanting to spend a fortune on a cake so I visited the location and showed them what I wanted which was a simple 3 layered naked cake. They said they could do it and would deliver to venue for a very affordable price and it was perfect but also delicious all of my guests raved about how delicious the cake was and asked where I ordered my cake. So thank you for making the cake perfect for my wedding!!!

Love this bakery. They have a huge selection of sweets, however towards the end of the day there might no be as much to choose from. Bread is always fresh as it is baked on a day to day basis, and it is always soft and perfectly sweetened. They also sell, freshly handmade tortillas and tamales when available. 10/10 recommend this bakery.

An excellent Mexican bakery. Bilingual staff. Some of the best empanadas anywhere. Very wide selection of authentic mexican cookies and bread. Very reasonable prices. The parking lot can be a little tricky to exit.

La Purisima in Glendale has excellent baked goods, but my favorites are the flour tortillas right off the press. I always eat one in the car driving home. SOOOO good!
