This is definitely not a fancy breakfast or brunch place but it is a very very good breakfast place. The food is very delicious and the portion is huge. The Tex mex is very good. We also tried the the mushroom omelette. The coffee is good as well and they have plenty of options for sweets but we never get to try them as the food is very filling It's is on walnut street so a very nice area Try to go on weekdays as the wait on the weekend is very long

Pancakes are so delicious they don’t even need syrup. Coffee was piping hot, just how I like it. Eggs were eggs – no surprise there. A little bit of a wait. Friendly staff. A bit rundown inside.

The upstairs is closed so downstairs where the restaurant is feels oddly empty. The dim lighting doesn't help, so it just sort of has an underground vibe. The staff is super friendly, the food is awesome. The Lyonnaise potatoes look burned but are actually cooked beautifully and are full of flavor. The crepe-like pancakes are buttery and the lacy edges are the best. The eggs were cooked beautifully and well seasoned. The toast was literally covered in melting butter. I was really happy with my breakfast and had enough left overs for the next day.

These. Are. The. Pancakes. Ever since The Rustic closed in Rocky River, Ohio. My son and I have been on the hunt for our #1 pancake with maximum syrup receptivity, a honey-brown complexion, and impossibly crispy edges. Our search has ended! Granted, it’s a 5 hour roundtrip from our home and infested with Steelers fans, but IT IS WORTH IT. Do yourself a favor and get these pancakes in your belly now.

A true pittsburgh experience! Close tables and great conversations. Although they are short staffed our waitress made sure we were well taken care of and didn't skip a beat.

Really nice busy and bubbly atmosphere, and the wait was half as long as expected. Would highly recommend their Famous Lyonnaise potatoes and hotcakes. Great brunch diner, and I will be coming back!

Pamela’s is must go in Pittsburgh. The pancakes and the potatoes are the best around. They still provide generous servings for the price!

Dropped off one of my party to put my name in so I could find some street parking. It was pretty busy, we were estimated for a 30 minute wait but it ended up only being 20 minutes. Also your whole party has to be present when you are being seated. We ordered a coffee and split a Pittsburgh Salad. First time having fries in my salad but I’m happy I got to try the Pittsburgh Salad! Very refreshing and the staff was awesome!

Great breakfast spot in Pittsburgh. The food was fresh and served hot. Presentation was good and coffee refills were timely.

The crepe-style hotcake is a unique must-try. It has a chewy spongy center and crispy lacy edges. Not too sweet. Plain on its own, just right with the fruit filling.

How many countries and how many restaurants does one need to eat hotcakes at before it can be said that he has a favorite in “the world”? Well I had my first Pamela’s hot cakes around 12 years ago. Since then I’ve eaten hot cakes whenever it was on the menu and gone through two passport books of countries. I finally found myself back in Pittsburgh this past weekend so I returned to Pamela’s to try an old favorite. Better than I remember and without a doubt my favorite hot cakes in the world!

The pancakes here are reallyyyyy good! I’ve never had anything quite like them! They’re thin with crispy edges! The chorizo hash was very flavorful! Highly recommend!

I liked it here. The atmosphere was cool and cozy. I liked our order too. The food looked fresh and it was delicious. The food portion comparing to the price was balanced. I would like to go there again and taste other food. It’s worth trying Pamela’s.

The food was very tasty and we were in and out quickly. The staff are very helpful and multiple people checked in on us and refilled our water and coffee multiple times. If you're looking for a good brunch place, this is it.

Loved this place. The staff was very nice. Greeted us quickly. We were sat after the table was cleaned. (Table still smelled clean so that is also reassuring it was done thoroughly). Got coffee quickly. They were so quick to also get our food out to us! They seemed busy but that never changed how friendly the staff was, and they still checked on us frequently. My food - bacon was thick slices. Banana chocolate chip crepe pancakes, delicious. One of them was crispy on the end, which I didn't like but everything else was so amazing, and it was only an end of 1, that it's fine. They were so filling i Couldnt even finish them. Would absolutely go back.

Are they kidding me with those pancakes? Best pancakes I’ve ever had. I don’t even care for pancakes. Light, fluffy and airy with crunchy crispy fried bits in the edges. I’m in town for 4 days and already planning how to get there again before I leave. Must go!! Edit: I went a second time and you gotta get the lyonnaise potatoes. I thought the Obama painting was just cheeky and cute but turns out Pamela and Obama are tight. Cool!!

The pancake crepes were FABULOUS with their crispy edges! Unlike anything we’ve had before. Great atmosphere and excellent service. The only complaint is that we live 750 miles away, otherwise we’d be eating here weekly.
