Great food!
My Long Overdue Review of a Great Restaurant: Back in May 2018 we ordered a fair amount for delivery through the UberEats app, well the driver brought the wrong food. We tried to go through Uber to get it corrected and Uber was not helpful. We called the restaurant instead, truly the staff at Bangkok Balcony were amazing that night. They sorted the issue out, despite Uber having refunded us for the issue with the order, and they had one of their staff deliver the food to us within the hour. Even though we were far OUTSIDE of their delivery zone. They went above and beyond for us that night to get us our order, despite the hassle that the restaurant also endured from the UberEats drivers mistake.
We have always enjoyed the food ordered, both dine and and take out. Though we typically order the staple foods like Pad Thai and the Thai Fried Rice, we have been thoroughly pleased with each dish we’ve tried in the past four years of going to Bangkok Balcony!
I’ve tried several places in Pittsburgh for Thai food, this one is my favorite!
For a first timer to Tia cuisine, the food was delicious and the server was patient and polite. I would highly recommend Bangkok Balcony.

I've been here plenty of times for dinner, but yesterday was my first lunch at Bangkok Balcony. The lunch menu had plenty to choose from, the food was great and the lunch special pricing was even better!
We make Bangkok Balcony one of are special occasions places. Because we always get good service and the food is always good.. If you can't handle spicey food get it with just 1 anything over that has a kick.

I recently dined at this Thai restaurant and the food was delicious, although slightly expensive. The drinks were great, but the service was slow, likely due to how busy it was. The location was fantastic and I loved the atmosphere.
We came on Friday night at 7pm and there was hardly any wait to get in. However, the food is not spicy at all! I ordered a 5 on a 5 out of 10 scale and it tasted like there had been zero spice added, which was disappointing. The portion sizes are also a little small relative to the price. The food was still ok and service was decent as well, but it wasn't mind blowingly amazing. I do feel like there were some inconsistencies because my friend's curry was apparently really good, but my other friend's fried curry rice was more mediocre, like the noodles that I got.
It was amazing! The ribs were perfectly cooked and fell right off the bone. There was a bar there and we were able to order a nice bottle of wine. Definitely go if you're thinking about it!!!
We ordered the lemongrass noodles and mee kathi for delivery. The food tasted good and I can’t complain about the flavors and authenticity. The lemongrass dish was a little on the small side meanwhile the other was more than enough. I do wish i had gone with a higher spice level, 5 didn’t quite do it for me. Otherwise it was a decent meal but I’m not quite sure I’d order there again.
Amazing food at prices that won't break the bank. Soup and salad are served with lunch specials. Everything came out quickly and was delicious.
Delicious and amazing spot! If you like spicy food, order on the higher end of the scale than you normally would. I got a 4 and it wasn't even remotely spicy.
Gorgeous environment... The fact it's on the second floor is fun and they've done well to decorate it into a DESTINATION.

Fantastic atmosphere, presentation, and of course taste of authentic Thai food along with other popular Asian meals.
Great food with good vegetarian choices. Menu seen online wasn't matching with menu in restaurant, but they made us what we wanted from online menu. Had tasty and good veg fried rice, with green curry gravy, medium spice. The lady who took our order was very knowledgeable on veggie menu options.
Let's just say it was a 90 degree day and their air conditioning was broke AND I'm still giving them 5 stars. Delicious food. We had the curry puffs, mok (catfish), and veggie see you noodles. All fantastic.
The restaurant still exists, but it is now part of a double-feature called Kiin Lao, which serves both Thai and Laotian food (and this is the first Laotian restaurant I have ever been to). The food is very flavorful, appropriately spiced based on your request. You need to climb a flight of stairs to get in (hence the name), but it is worth the "effort" to get there :-)
Best Thai food I had in long time. The restaurant looks amazing, very clean, fast service and nice people. Will definitely go back!!
As a delivery driver, I almost never turn down an offer from Bangkok Balcony. I think of it as the land of a few dozen smiling faces, fr!
Of course, you're going to have to wait a few minutes. This place is BUSY for a reason!
But you'll spend those few minutes over by the bar surrounded by laughter and the intoxicating smell of good cooking with friendly staff hustling to make sure everyone under their roof is happy. Your customer will be pleased, you'll get no complaints.
Definitely on my list of places to bring my friends and family next time we go out to celebrate.
Delicious Thai and Laotian foods in a fun atmosphere!
I LOOOOOVE this place. Every time I have ordered food from here it’s been fantastic. The protein is never dry, and they are so considerate of packaging with delivery. The Khoa Soi comes mostly deconstructed, so the noodles don’t get soggy in the curry in transit and the crispy topping is still crispy.
When my partner and I have friends in town we will take them here! ❤️
