Reviews Vincent's Pizza Park

Pizza when made right is the best in the entire city.
Tons of toppings and you get your moneys worth.
The downside is it very greasy and not for everyone.
The service is not very good, but not due to effort. They are so busy the employees seem overwhelmed at times.
If you like pizza with tons of toppings and you have a good digestive system this your pie.

Love it. I am a fifth generation eater there. I hope in the future I will be able to take my kids there as the sixth generation and see what real pizza is. I also enjoy when I have crust and grease in the middle and dip my crust in there to get the whole experience.

Fresh & Friendly. My family and I ate at Vincent's Pizza Park for the first time last night. The service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and kept checking in on us. No complaints about the service. As for their pizza, that's a little complicated to explain. If you like melt cheesey and oily pizza, then Vincent Pizza Park is the place for you. Their dough was FRESH! We also had a salad on the side and that also was fresh. We ordered two kinds of pizzas. We had the traditional pizza with pepperoni and we had the white pizza. The white pizza was a little less oily than the traditional pizza. I liked the white pizza. I think it depends on your taste and preferences. I want to be fair to Vincent Pizza Park because I think it's just a matter of what people prefer. As far as the traditional pizza, the good news is that if you have leftover, bring it home and heat it the next day. It's actually better the next day. My family and I just had the leftover pizza for lunch today and it's pretty good. It wasn't as oily. So, I would try this place again but I'd go only for their white pizza but remember that's just my own preference and taste. Hope this helps.

Pizza's Finest Moments. Wow, kind of surprised by the harsh comments here. I stopped back and was welcomed by the wonderful pizza I remember and dream of. This is the kind of pizza that Mario and Luigi would make if they came out of the game and started cranking out pies.

Love it. Our service was good even on a really crowded night, so maybe it depends on the waiter/waitress?

Either you like it or you don't. It is not for the weak. Free your mind and let the grease river flow across crust mountain and into your gullet. Unique, disgusting, wonderful.

The vinnie pie. I posted my review here a while back and all were erased so I will post again...
THE BEST OF THE BEST.... It does not get any better than this, no other shop can compare. you get cravings for pizza you buy pretty much anything, but you actually get cravings for vinnie pie, what other shop can say that.... no other place like it, no other place can compare...

thanks for all the great pizzas, i will be back for more.

I had a hankering for a Vinnie Pie and got a couple of pies a week ago. I forgot how huge they are. Very tasty, very sloppy and greasy. The large is beyond comprehension - it loses definition and the crust runs the risk of being undercooked. I find it better to go with ordering more of their medium and small pies as the crust turns out a little better - cooks more evenly. It is still a monster - albeit a tasty one.

You have to try a pie from Vincent's Pizza Park at least once in your life. It really is in a class of its own. Thick crust, thin sauce, cheesy and heaps of toppings. One slice will fill you up for a day. It is greasy, but with that much cheese and toppings it is to be expected. It is a great treat to have every once in a while as your arteries will need some time to clean themselves out.

You leve very full. The Pizza is amazing. They do not skimp you on toppings, they pile it high on a huge piece of dough. At first blush, it may seem a little spendy, but then when you realize that you can only eat 2 pieces of a medium, you realize that you have enough pizza to feed you for a good 4 or 5 meals.

Yes, very greasy, but super, amazingly tasty.

The actual establishment seems a little shady, and the staff are blunt, but the food more than makes up for it.

Remember: Cash Only.

Well done Sarah!. Sarah absolutely nailed it with her concise, "Vinnie Pie not your average..." review. You just have to try this place out for yourself on a Friday night. Great sauce, with hints of thyme, rosemary, and Marlboro Red ash.

Unique to Pittsburgh. A Vincent's pie is one that can only be found in Pittsburgh. This pizza may make some sick! The crust is extremely thick but tasty, toppings are generous, and the amount of sauce is just right. I usually order one with Sausage and Mushrooms. The sausage is homemade and delicious, and the mushrooms provide a nice compliment. Both are liberally applied to the generous amount of cheese, and this makes one greasy mess when eating it, but it is well worth the effort!

The best pizza in my book. Vincent's has always been an exciting place to go since we were kids. It isn't somewhere you just get your Friday night pizza from, it's an experience to go and smell the pizzas cooking. The atmosphere is just no frills, authentic pizza place. Although pricey for pizza, you see why whenever you get your pie. The toppings completely cover the pizza and there's more cheese than any other pizza i've had. Pepperoni is the only way to go for me because there's even more grease and for some reason their pepperoni is better than any other pizza place as well, absolutely amazing. This pizza isn't for the faint of heart (litterally, don't eat too much of it if you have heart problems lol) but it is a must at least once a year for a special occasion. My personal tip that my Italian grandmother gave me is to dip your crust in the grease on the pan. Adds the best flavor....

Vinnie Pie not your average pizza experience, a world of its own.. Vincents is not a weekly venture. It is the kind of place you go twice a year when you want the experience. Negligent service adds to the atmosphere. The pizza is delicious has a lot of grease.

There was no way I was only having one slice of my favorite pizza even though I knew I would have to cut a slice off somewhere throughout the day from another place. It was worth it.

Vincent's is a family tradition. Coming from Wilkinsburg, it's the pizza they grew up with. Hence, it is the pizza de jure that all other pizza in the house is compared to. I honestly don't recall having had it before this weekend, but in trying all the pizza places around Pittsburgh that I can - it was time to make the family pilgrimage back to Vincent's Pizza Park. Now, the first thing to say is that Vincent's is old-fashioned from top to bottom. No paying by card, no timed orders. You call for pizza, or you show up for pizza, and you get pizza. They have their menu, and they have their way of doing things. And that's that. If you're concerned about alterations, I would look somewhere else. That also goes for the service. Seat yourself, and the servers are on the way. They do what they can to amke sure every customer is taken care of. If you're take out? Same thing, except they'll remember your face and bring it out without as many check ins. If you're looking for modern amenities, or a sophisticated service vibe, this place isn't it. But, they care, and will look after you. Then comes the pizza. It is a greasy pizza that's thin like a new-york crust in the center, and stays that way until the crust, which builds up thick and doughy like a Detroit/Sicillian Pan pizza. It goes without saying that the Vinny Pie style pizza is one of the most greasy pizzas around, and for some, that means one of the best. Others might think it one of the worst for that reason. I like both non-greasy and greasy pizza, so it was a very good meal. Moreover, my mother loves greasy pizza, and it was exactly what she wanted after a hard, but special, day. So, it did what it was supposed to do and beyond. I got a 1-topping Pepperoni, and a 3-topping Mushroom, onion, and green pepper. The latter was my favorite. They drifted a bit into one spot on the drive home, but it was fresh, hot and delicious. That's also to say, I'd really like their cheese pizza, I think. There's a unique flavor profile in the cheese that's not quite a typical newyork, but also not unusual or off-putting. The sauce is light, and does what it needs to, but otherwise doesn't stand out too much. The Peperoni was good, and there was a ton of it. Some of it was crisped to perfection, other parts weren't quiet there. It was a very sharp pepperoni taste, which some might love. It wasn't quite to my preference, with how much there was, but I'm not knocking it. It's the perfect pizza for someone. Suffice to say, I hear a lot of talk about how a greasy pizza is a cop out, or a sign of bad quality. I don't believe that. I think that it appeals to a flavor profile that some people love, and I happen to like. And if that's what you're looking for, good luck beating Vincent's Pizza Park. A Pittsburgh tradition, and one for my family.

We've been going here since we were dating and now have kids! It's always beyond 5 stars and reasonable and the PIZZA is delicious. The leftovers are so good and plentiful because the pies are so big! We love it here

Delicious as usual. The mountains of delicious toppings put this pizza at the top of the scale. I would recommend eating in compared to takeout, all the good grease n juices get soaked up in the cardboard on the way home. Still one of the best pizzas around! All other pizza shops in the State take notice! This is how you top a pie!! It's called "the works but" and it's delicious!

If I could give this place more stars I would! We were blown away at the quality of food and the service was phenomenal. Hands down one of the best pizzas we have ever had the pleasure of eating. They do not skimp on toppings. You want bacon and olives...you got it! Full size bacon strips on the pizza!?! Yes please! The prices were great. We couldn't be happier with our random stop for a pie.

Having this throughout the years, I knew what to expect, large crust, ingredients towards the middle in a greasy delicious puddle to dip crust in! Don’t forget the black ashy underneath! Lol if your not local and weren’t raise in the area, you couldn’t possibly understand! There’s nothing like it anywhere so if you don’t know about it, just prepare for it! 🍕🍕 most people know what they’re getting and will eat it again. For those who don’t, your loss! You get what you get, no use complaining! It’s not Burger King you get it their way or not at all!

The crust will always be crispy and hard, but the center of the pizza will always be soupy and soft. Lots of folks love their pizza because of those traits, but others aren't a fan (like me). However, they use quality ingredients and always make their pizzas by hand, so I have to give them some credit.

Can't say enough great things about this place, the staff, & Lisa (Vincent’s grand daughter that runs it). I travel 45min-1 hour for this delicious pizza!! The restaurant is very clean, the staff is very friendly, & there's nothing else like it! It has a very nostalgic, old fashioned feel & the portions are huge! The customers are lifers, this place is practically a historical landmark in the area! Totally recommend!

Original Vinnie Pies are one of the best pizzas in America. Been that way for decades. Keep it original. No substitutions or changes in ingredients, quality or quantity and have customers for multiple decades and generations. We miss Vincent and his legacy continues.

Overall, this is some of the best pizza you can find. The building is a little small, and it fills up quickly, so it's best to get there around opening if you want to guarantee a seat. This is also a cash only spot, so you should keep that in mind. This place does pizza and salad, thats the menu.

I finally know what pizza is!! This is the best pizza ever, it makes other pizza places not even worth eating. You have to try this place if you want a full course meal in a pizza. It's very hearty, loaded with cheese, crust, toppings and grease. I've tried so many places and recommendations but none compare to this. If you don't like alot of everything and want a NYC slice this isnt going to be your favorite pizza, just being honest. My old favorite pizza places aren't even good anymore. I tell everyone about this pizza and actually wish I could take this pizza to the "top pizza places in the US" (bc I try them) to show them this is what pizza really is. Yes its still cash only (Oct 2023) but they have an ATM, bathrooms and free parking onsite. This is what my wife and I call "Ninja Turtle Pizza" drooping cheese and thick crust ends. Service may not always be the best but their pizza is. My fav is extra cheese, pepperoni and sausage pizza.

Great pizza! Most definitely it's own unique style. I would encourage anyone to try it at least once. Pictured are two medium pizzas. That's the leftovers from the 4 of us. They have limited seating, so if you plan on going there on a Friday or Saturday night, give yourself ample time.
