Great atmosphere, seems to be a fun local hangout. Has a pool table & reasonably priced
A fun place to eat and drink. I enjoyed the recycling of books for your menu's.
Katy Brady and Alan are the greatest restaurant employees i have ever encountered...great place
Food was great. Sat on top deck patio and enjoyed great evening.
I always have a great time at the Library, and the staff has never been anything but extremely polite. I will continue to stop at the Library every time I'm in the Southside.
Everything here was great! We went on a tuesday night which is $1 oysters and everyone with us loved the oysters. We also ordered wings, buffalo chicken pizza, and the fried pickles which were all delicious. The staff was super nice and friendly and the atmosphere was unlike any other bar or restaurant in Pittsburgh making it a super cool place to go! We will definitely be going back!
The library has reopened. The new owners did a fantastic job at the renovations to the entire place. The food and specialty drinks are awesome. They have a Sunday brunch. The portions are very nice and the food is very tasty. Give this place a try.
We came to town to visit our college son and stopped in for cocktails on a Saturday afternoon. The dining area still had tables full of friends enjoying brunch and “bottomless” Mimosas. Prosecco is even on tap here! The vibe is sophisticated and classy, yet casual and welcoming. The new owners have done an excellent job implementing their vision of a neighborhood gathering place with a great menu, an awesome selection of beverages and an atmosphere where people can socialize and have fun. We migrated to the spacious upstairs to play pool and darts. It was a rainy day, so we were unable to utilize the patio. Our friendly bartender was happy to make me the house cocktail, Annabel Lee- beautiful AND delicious complete with a lavender bud rim! This place is special :)
AWESOME local bar. Super friendly staff, lovely regulars. The crispy chicken tenders were great, and the oysters (blue point) were fresh. Cute ambiance, dope music. Definitely worth a visit.
I ordered the smash burger and was amazing. My wife ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap and was decent. Ambience is great, drinks are cheap, food is cheap. Would go back for sure.
The staff is amazing and has all the information about the area and the food is top tier. Wasn't expecting the quality to be as NYC but it was. Plus the kitchen is open late which helps me since I am a night crawler. I went for brunch and had fuzzy navels (not on the menu but again amazing bar tender)
Love this place! The charcuterie board was a great mix of cheeses and meats and yumm!!! Martinis are so amazing and the staff/owner were so sweet!!
Awesome collage game day specials and such a good vibe.
Been here 2 times have not had a bad meal. The drinks have been on point.
The Library on Carson is a hidden gem in the heart of Pittsburgh. From the moment my wife and I walked in, we were impressed by the warm and cozy atmosphere, complete with book-lined walls and comfortable seating. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, each one expertly prepared and plated. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations and ensuring that our experience was top-notch. We especially loved the craft cocktails and extensive wine list, which added the perfect touch to our meal. Overall, The Library on Carson is a must-visit destination that delivers in every way. We can't wait to come back again and enjoy another delicious meal in this beautiful space.
Went for half price burgers and happy hour and stayed for trivia! Staff is friendly and food is really good. Their cocktails are fantastic!
Got a coupon on just pay half. Not a bad deal at all. Me and hubby went and got some food. Played some pool. Of course we got drinks also. It was a cool place and we would be back soon !
The bartender was wonderful, the atmosphere was great and the restrooms were clean; Overall welcoming! Great place for a couple drinks after work. The kitchen was closed when we arrived but the food looks amazing from the reviews!
Interesting themed bar. I really wanted to love it because I think anything book related is good for the general public. More easing = smarter people right? Any way, I got the Catch-22 and a berry mule type thing. The mule was great, refreshing, light. Everything you could want in a drink like that. Nothing was too pronounced, great zing from the fresh lime and hints of berry. Overall great pairing to anything heavy. The Catch 22 was a calzone type thing. I got buffalo chicken in mine and it was a great choice. Crispy dough, nice moist chicken in a mild buffalo sauce and stretchy mozzarella. The fries were amazing!!!! So crispy and golden brown. Literally perfect fries. I was just a little disappointed because the “sandwich” was really doughy and I’d wished it was more meat, less dough. Great place though!
I love this place! The renovations they made and the atmosphere is fantastic. It’s an awesome mix of a small feeling bar with the space of one of the big “club” bars on east Carson. The cocktails and food is reasonably priced and delicious. Seriously my new go to spot.
Great little place with some cool options. It has two floors with adequate seating for bigger groups. The menu of course is all literary themed dishes. My personal favorite thing to do is come for half off all small plates (appetizers) after 9.
Was in town for 3 days, stumbled upon this place on the first evening. Went for dinner every night I was in Pitt! Had pretty much the whole menu! Nothing disappoints - cocktails, wings, burger, pizza and the French Onions Soup! The owners seem like great people too - can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu
Great wings and pizza. Service is spot on too.
Loved the drinks and the pizza! The owner is amazing. She really turned the place into something so cool! Can’t wait to get to try more there! Highly recommend.
