Tried a different place for breakfast this morning and were pleasantly surprised. We went to the Victorian House in Plainfield/Central Village on Rt 12. The restaurant is a non-profit Breakfast and Lunch place that has special needs workers doing all the jobs. The food is excellent and portions are big and the price is reasonable. There is no tipping (due to being non-profit), but donations are accepted. They bake their own bread, bagels, etc. and grow their own vegetables. Everyone was courteous and friendly and attentive to our needs. They also sell the bread they bake along with muffins and cookies. Bread is $4.50 a loaf. We will go back again.
My son and I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup today.
It was amazing! It's a must-have. I guarantee you'll never have better! We're so excited to be neighboring businesses... we will be back often and will refer others to do the same!
My husband took me to The Victorian for breakfast this morning - to celebrate my birthday! We couldn't possibly have made a better choice. It is such a delightful place with such an amazing staff. My appetite was satisfied, but more importantly, my heart was FULL! I can't wait to go back! <3

A must breakfast location! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I had a simple egg, toast, home fries and sausage but it was so much better than other restaurants. The bread is home made! We will return many times:)
Has some of the greatest staff you can meet anywhere. The food is cooked great. The staff loves it when they see people. It is located in an old Victorian house. Serves breakfast and lunch all day. The best meals are the tuna melts on herb bread. The pancakes. Just about everything. If you ride motorcycles, this is the place for you. Of the workers loves the sounds of motorcycles.

Went here on a Monday mid-morning with my partner and his mother, who had highly recommended this as her favorite place since moving to Connecticut. I love that they serve breakfast and lunch all day - I got French toast, while my partner and his mother got sandwiches. The servers were friendly and attentive, the food was substantial, delicious, and affordable, and the atmosphere was charming and had plenty of natural light. I look forward to coming back!
The service and food were FANTASTIC! We loved that there food was made from scratch! The Cinnamon Raisin Toast and Herb Toast were A-MAZING!

Been living here for 3 years and always wanted to go have breakfast there. Well hubby and I finally did and we weren't disappointed! The food was great and the staff was even better. I even baught me a flowering plant on the way out. Love this place and have already recommended it to others. We will definitely be going again 😀
Stopped at the Victorian for a delicious breakfast and discovered they serve a lunch fare too. I recommend the breakfast burrito with home fries, so filling you won't need lunch. The artisans sell crafts, plants, baked goods and seasonal decorations as you enter the restaurant. They have great holiday gift ideas to choose from. The plants are grown in the greenhouse behind the restaurant. The Village Bakery is also onsite, order your pies and sweet treats for the holidays. I will definitely return for lunch one day soon!

I love going there, the staff is awesome and right there to get you whatever you need. The food is wonderful, hats off to the cook. It's a beautiful very big house turned restaurant. It's so beautiful inside and the atmosphere is very up lifting. The portions are more then plenty. A must for breakfast and lunch.
