Sal's Famous Pizzeria Had a great time with friends and family tonight at a gem of an Italian restaurant in #Brownsburg. Special thanks to our server, Kendra, for making it a memorable experience. Great menu knowledge, personality, and offered better recommendations.
We had the famous Sal's Special pizzeria-style pizza with sausage, pepperoni, onions, green peppers, olives and mushrooms. I don't know what they do to their crust, but I recommend you eat the entire slice. The crust was worth the wait.
We also selected the Appetizer Sampler: A combination of our Mozzarella Sticks, Calamari Fritti, Bruschetta and Scampi Fritti, a Insalata Mista Salad: Mixed greens topped with tomato, onion, carrots, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, pepperoncini and Feta cheese. Served with your choice of dressing. We chose the creamy Italian dressing!
For entrees, our group chose from the following:
Pollo Alla Marsala: Chicken breast sauteed with onions, mushrooms and creamy Marsala wine sauce. Served on a bed of fettuccini.
Pollo Parmigiana: Lightly breaded chicken breast topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Served on a bed of spaghetti.
Spaghetti & Meatballs:Fresh spaghetti with meatballs and homemade marinara sauce.
We all felt the menu selection, quality, flavor, and value met our expectations.
Sal's has quaint seating, a bar area, select wine menu, bottled beer, and attentive staff. If you are looking for a new spot to try in Brownsburg, give Sal's a try and let them know you heard about them on The317Live dot com.

I want to give kudos to Sal's in Brownsburg, after meeting a group of friends there last week. Our food & drinks were yummy with great, friendly service from Zach S. who recommended some awesome meals. I was so happy with that first visit, that I suggested to other friends on Saturday that we go there for dinner. We arrived at prime dinner time, expecting a long wait as every table was full, but surprisingly only had a short wait, since they were moving people through so quickly. We had extremely fast and very attentive service from Brenden F. The food was awesome again, and we were in and out in just over an hour. A big shout out to these 2 young men, and the rest of the staff each night, on a job very well done, under pressure. I highly recommend giving them a visit.
Enjoyed a great dinner at Sal’s in Brownsburg last night! Delicious food, wonderful service and a very nice atmosphere! All four of us had a different pasta meal and all were delicious! Thanks Sal’s!
When I want pizza.....I want Sal's pizza !! This is the real deal. This is the same pizza found on the east coast with its large Italian settlements and a pizzeria on every corner.......if the pizza isn't 'real' and good....they're out of business ! Sal's would thrive a long time there......like he does here. I've been a customer for over 20 years !
I loved it, the food was amazing. Opening up on a Sunday to serve on Mother's day was fantastic also. Great service. The kitchen got our food out at different times though, not good. My wife got sick, bad, and she had the Eggplant parmesan. No bueno!!! But, everyone else's food was amazing.
Best food ever!! Wait staff so friendly and personable!!! GO!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!
Absolutely love their pizza & garlic rolls.. they also have great drinks & pasta there! And Holy Canoli.. their canoli's are amazing!
I've made three trips to Italia in the last three years. When I get "homesick" for Italian food, this is the only place that can cure it.
Place is awesome great food and great place to eat.
Love, love, love. Best food ever. Never had a bad choice. All options are great. The seafood pasta is awesome and I have to force myself to choose other items. It's all fresh, though, so takes some time. And very busy so go early.
I was passing through Plainfield and decided to eat here. The Calzone I ordered was really good. The restaurant was clean as far as I could tell. It took awhile to get the check but I only saw 3 people working so it could be lack of help. I would stop here again if I was close by. All in all, a positive experience.
Delicious food and excellent service! Sampler ravioli, pizza, lasagna and shrimp linguini alfredo. And a cannoli. We'll be returning. Especially for the wood fired pizza. 😎
This place was recommended by a friend so I decided to give it a try. Food was outstanding with service to match. Definitely worth another visit!! The dish pictured is the Chicken Parm.
Was really good food, had the stuffed pepperoni and sausage 16in pizza, along with bread sticks and garlic knots
The pizza is delicious, especially the chicken and spinach pizza. I don't eat crust on every pizza, but the crust on Sal's pizza is fresh and yummy.
Love this place. Food is delicious and staff is very friendly.
We went out for my daughter's birthday, who wanted to go to a local chain restaurant. However, it was an hour wait for a table, despite the dining room being fairly quiet. So, we decided to try Sal's.
When we arrived at 6pm on Tuesday, we were seated immediately in the patio, as requested. Servers were very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere especially on the patio is very intimate and comfortable. Although we didn't interact with the other patrons, you almost feel like you are dining at a friend's house. And I'm an introvert who usually hates public gatherings.
Everything was delicious and the portions are so generous that we all had leftovers for lunch the next day. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and we were encouraged to share each other's dishes. While conversing with our server, she discovered that it was our daughter's birthday so she brought her a piece of tiramisu on the house.
It can be a little expensive, depending on what you order but well worth it. For 4 of us, we had 2 appetizers, 3 non-alcoholic drinks, 1 cocktail, 2 small pizzas, 2 entrees (chicken parm, and a garlic pasta) which include salad or soup, it was just over $100 including tax and tip.
