This place was worth the drive from Tampa! I’ve heard of Wayback burgers, but I’ve never actually been to one. If I could remember all of the names of the crew that worked that shift I would shout them out by name! Brodie only stood out because his name was on the receipt lol…he not only worked the grill, but also handled the register. Very impressed with the composure and work ethics everyone possessed. Despite our extensive order…their customer service was superb! They obviously are short-staffed. However, just the small crew present during those hours were great. The bathroom was clean, the restaurant was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the food was delicious. The best impossible burger I’ve ever had till this day and easily the best Mac & cheese bites as well. First time here and it was definitely a 10/10 experience. Thanks Plant City Wayback Burgers!
Made fresh meal. They had burgers and salads on menu. Wifi access was strong plus too. Parking lot was clean. Tables had good spaces between for physical distancing for all. Not sure about mobile ordering options.
First time eating here and I must say, I am impressed. Staff was super cool and accommodating with suggestions on what to eat, and the food was amazing. That and they offer military discount. This place gives you everything 5 guys does but at a way better price. My bill was $37 for 3 large and hungry dudes. Will definitely be back.
Great food, very nice crew. I have never had a bad experience here. That's rare now a days!
Went there today 5/10/22.
WOW have things changed. New cashier needs to be trained properly. I ordered a classic single then I said make it a double and put the extra patty on the side please. She needed help for that. From the grill the girl told her" put it in the notes." She did. Then a regular order of fries. I also ordered a single with cheese and onion rings.
I was charged for 2 doubles and an extra patty. Another employee interviened and gave me a dirty look trying to shut me up. She knew just what I wanted. So now 2 crew members knew what I ordered. Since it was already cooking on the grill I said my fault leave it like it is. Some other woman came out from the back and just looked at me. If she is the owner or his wife or the manager she should be retrained as well. The first crew member that knew what I wanted them proceeded to tell the employees " what she should have said was".
Well please explain to me why both sandwiches were doubles at least one should have been a single since that is WHAT I ORDERED. So very sorry that I don't know how to order at Way back Burgers but it will be no problems as I won't be back. If you feel the need to over charge customers and then say they don't know how to order them you don't want my business and you will get what you want or at least your employees.
Sorry they feel that way but 5 guys is just 15 min away from me and well worth the drive. That is where I will be going from now on.
I have been going there since you opened and always happy . I know how hard it is to find good people as I have been in this industry for 40 years.
Very juicy burger is like dinning back in the 60’s
We stopped by this place while traveling because my hubby wanted a real hamburger for lunch. Never heard of this place, but the Google reviews and photos said it was pretty good and they did not disappoint! I got the Classic burger and OMG it was soooo good and super messy which is a sign of a good burger. Glad we decided to eat there instead of eat while on the road. LoL! We've already made plans to stop back by on the way home from our vacation just to get another burger and try out their shakes. Definitely give them a try if you're in the Plant City area!
