Had dinner at Alberto’s in Downtown Pleasanton. Wanted to have a drink so decided on McKay’s. Cool backyard patio. Reminds me of Berkeley🤷🏽♂️ will definitely have some food next time 🤝

What a neat, relaxing place in a cool environment -- get to sit and have actual conversations. It's got enough shade to not fry, but all enjoy sitting outdoors!
Very dog & kid friendly -- just please have your kids check with dog owners before petting.
This was the only menu I could get, the food menu is scan a QR code. Not bad for those that carry cell phones everywhere, which seems to be increasing. But at a place to relax would also be nice to not HAVE to take my phone.
This place is pretty cute. Drinks were great staff is friendly. Only thing is you can't see the bar TVs from all of the seating. The roof is a little low on the bar and if people sit in front of you they block the game.
Jammin burger I think is the best burger I ever had hands down I never make reviews cuz I know them so we’ll but geez what a nice peaceful lunch like being at a family bbq but mckays has good food hahahah
Good relaxed atmosphere and pet/child friendly. Nice menu with some traditional sausage and sauerkraut combinations. Good helpful service. It may be this day only as I wasn't bothered in previous visits but there were a number of flies hanging around that took away a bit of the atmosphere.
I don’t like to give a five star unless it’s really deserving and this place was as far as my experience. Fantastic outdoor area with lots of picnic tables and a few lounge chairs. The beer selection was good but they could have more choices — nonetheless the food was great as well as the service.
Very cool place to hang. Great beer choices. I had the three berry blonde. Not very sour or sweet just right. Staff was very friendly. Kid and dog friendly.
Great outdoor spot with live music. They won't fill my growler, though. Which is mildly infuriating. Kids are allowed before 7PM (if I remember correctly).
I always enjoy the general atmosphere of this place. Great place to take your kids/dogs/friends/family for a drink and some snack food. Live music is fun as well. Cons are that sometimes the staff hurries us to order and is a bit impatient, but that tends to happen on weekend nights. Also, prepare to be standing or to be waiting for people to get up from seats on weekend nights, although there are some barrels scattered around for a group to stand around and set drinks on. Overall a fun place to spend a Friday night!
Great setup in a homey-looking location, with a large selection of taps and cans. Terrific hanging out in the back, and good food choices -- don't leave without having a pretzel (yeah, I know, but try one).
Sudden plan for quick break. Lot of variety of beer, wine is good too. Specially like the ambience, some shade and sun. Will come back again.
Good vibes, good food, fun beer selection and really good service. The beergarden is family friendly, too.

Went and saw live band "Rewind" 80's cover band. It was so much fun. The food was good, servers friendly and wine chilled and crisp (Pinot Grigio). Main St was blocked off and the street was filled with tons of people dancing along. I will definitely come again.
Nice on the weekends when they have live music. There is a good beer and food selection. There are a few wine choices but could use more.
Great food and atmosphere is awesome. Feels like sitting in your backyard with friends.
A lovely place to sit outside and sip (or guzzle!) a cold craft beer while munching on tapas or full plates. Plenty of heaters are available to keep you warm in the winter months, and I'll give you an insider tip: In the hallway which houses the bathroom entrances, there is a basket filled with cozy blankets to bundle up with in case the heaters aren't cutting it!!!
