Bit of a wait time, but it's worth it!
Great service, they let you know when a table is available. They got outdoor heaters when it's cold, got a selection of alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks, their cod & chips were pretty good! Served in a wire basket!
Definitely worth the visit! Would recommend.
Great food. We ate way too much. The Brussels sprout appetizer was high point, and the portion generous. Yam fries with special catchup is great. Chicken, apple, pear salad was a hearty meal.
We stopped into Next Door Gastropub for lunch on our way back to Seattle. The atmosphere was very cute inside and we got seated fairly quickly despite a line quickly forming out the door.
We ordered the fried brussels sprouts, crab and cheese dip, and fish and chips.
The brussels sprouts were tasty and the dip came out smoking hot. It was paired with excellently grilled bread.
The fish and chips were also tasty. The fish was fried pretty well and was soft and flaky on the inside. The chips were also pretty good too.
Overall, I was satisfied with my visit to Next Door Gastropub and could see myself coming back if I was ever in the area again.
Very cute gastro pub with open front and patio. Great service and delicious food (with generous portions). Just FYI, wait times for seating and food are long but it was worth the wait!
Best Mac n cheese in the state. My Seattle friends are always gagged when I say that lol. Pasta is corkscrew, perfect for holding cheese. The sauce is smooth, creamy, stretchy. They use milder cheeses but tastes plenty cheesy. I wouldn’t change a single thing, why mess with perfection? I’ve also tried their veggie burger before I I remember it being pretty solid, but I always come back for the Mac n cheese.
Their cocktails are good and strong - they sure know how to make their drinks. Atmosphere is very chill. This place does fill up pretty quickly but we were lucky enough to get a table the two times we've been here.
Food -
Jalapeño crab dip - 4/5 could have been a spicier, did not even taste the jalapeño. Nonetheless still very tasty.
Fish tacos - 4/5. Bf ordered this one.
Chicken salad - this salad was good! 4/5. Chicken was very bland and was in cubes. For a salad, chicken strips would have been better. But this salad was very refreshing to eat after a hike.
Garlic fries - 5/5 I'm a bit biased when it comes to garlic fries but I love it loaded up with garlic 🤩. My eyes were bigger than my stomach and I couldn't finish this so I had to box it up to go.
Drinks - had the Irish mule, rum strawberry mojito, dark and stormy. All of which were good.
Service was good both times. Even though our server was busy with a full section - she continuously checked in on us and made sure we were taken care of. So overall experience was a 5/5.
Fun pub atmosphere with good service. Lots of beer/cider choices from craft breweries. Food was delicious. The special today was a fried chicken sandwich that was enormous and very tasty 😋
Delightful food accompanies a grand assortment of beverages on tap abound in this friendly gastropub. The burgers were juicy and well portioned, and upgrading to poutine is highly recommended (although both the yam and regular fries are delicious as well). The potato leek soup was equally delicious for those seeking a less messy version of sides. Sitting near the Dungeness River, it should be no surprise that the crab is incredibly fresh and deliciously decadent. While we added the chips to the crab dip, it was mostly superfluous and the accompanying toast was definitely the star of the appetizers' dippables, but the lightly fried chips were a solid thing to munch upon while waiting for the main course and no regrets were had from their addition. Highly recommend a stop to enjoy some quality foods and brews!
Very Busy for a saturday night, loved to see it! host was pleasant, and we took a walk around while we waited for our table. service was amazing!! our server was so sweet and had awesome recommendations. food was great! my partner really enjoyed his burger!
Located at prime spot, this gastro pub was brimming with people on a Sunday night too. There was a 30 minute wait time for us to be seated. The restaurant even though wasn’t very spacious, but was well maintained and decorated. They had outdoor seating as well. But since it was a cold evening, we had to wait for a 5 seater table.
The staff were very sweet and had a friendly approach. They even served us with a complimentary dish -Albacore tataki, just because we were curious about the ingredients in it. Very lovely service!!!
Albacore tataki was served like a sushi, it was extremely soft and delicate, melted right into the mouth. Garnishing was excellent too!!
Crab dip was served with toasts. The dip was a lil sweet and tangy and creamy. Excellent food!!
We also ordered a veggie burger, which had a bean patty. It was served with potato chips on side. No complaints there too!
There was chicken wings as well and hummus plate and veggie taco, all served and cooked to perfection.
Veggie taco had 2 options for tortillas, corn and flour.
The mule kick was a variety for sure! It was a cocktail with tequila, spicy for sure, hits right in your throat, in a good way 😄
The menu was a lil pricy but the food justified it well, plus the location was just right.
Dog friendly place where I brought my Saint Bernard. Staff and guests were all friendly and sweet.
Macaroni balls were awesome. Highly recommend, particularly if you can get them during happy hour.
Yam fries and regular fries were both amazing. The spicy ketchup with the yam fries is a good choice, too.
Both burgers I got were great. Wish I could remember which, but I know the bacon was the highlight.
Came to treat my Saint Bernard to her last meal as the final stop after a fun day and an amazing six and a half year journey with her. Super friendly staff and community who all gave her some love and me some encouragement when they found out the occasion. Thank you all. You made the most emotionally painful night in years feel that much less lonely.
Stopped by after a local recommended it for a late lunch. On a Saturday afternoon, we had a short wait and then got seated quickly.
Atmosphere is great - definitely “gastropub” is the right description. Bar seating, booths, and string lights. It was cozy on a cold day.
Menu was great - offered a lot of choices including both simple to a little bit odd (I.e. Cherry Brie burger). We enjoyed our food a lot and big kudos for the newly tapped sour beer.
Overall, good place. And frankly, it was less spendy than other places we’ve visited across WA recently. Good food at a good value!
A local favorite when visiting my parents in PA and we've been a dozen + times. The service can be hit or miss and especially so when busy which could definitely be improved upon. But, we keep coming back for the food which is overall delicious (except one bad experience where one order in our group arrived over 45 minutes after all the others without any explanation and the mac n cheese had no seasoning - this is an exception to our experiences) and they have a great selection of beers on tap.
Burgers were really good. Cool atmosphere with good music. In a nice area. Really busy when we went. Had to wait maybe 25 minutes. We just went across the street to the fudge shop and game store.
Fun, local place with good beer selection, friendly service, and delicious food. Husband really enjoyed his tacos. Fry portions are huge but so good. I had the chicken apple salad, which was really delicious. I did wish they listed on their menu that the walnuts in it have cayenne on them for those of us who don't like/can't have spicy or nightshades. Really impressed with their menu selection, we will return to try something new next time!
This is a sweet spot to grab food in Port Angeles. We went on a Saturday night and it was definitely popular. They have a great beer list as well as cocktails and wine. The food is definitely gastropub food, but done so well it’s almost gourmet. The fried pickles were made in some of the best batter I’ve ever had and the elk burger was seriously next level good. For some reason it didn’t say on the menu that it came with garlic fries but that was an immensely welcomed surprise. Great service, some outdoor seating with heaters (closed when we were there though), and plenty of street parking. Highly recommended to anyone!
Ordered the Ron Burgandy 🍔with elk 🦌and yam 🍠 🍟fries + fish 🐠 🌮 tacos. Grabbed to mocktails that were also good.
A little difficult to find but worth the search. The only place open after 8pm and we were so happy it tasted so good. We tried the crab dip and the Elk burger. The crab dip was heavenly and the chips were a perfect compliment. Now the Elk burger. This magnificent burger has Brie cheese and a blueberry compote. It is one of the top five burgers I’ve ever eaten. We went back a second night to get the burger again it was that good.
