I was visiting Port Jeff for dinner and I saw this very cute chocolate shop. They did such an amazing job with their holiday decor! They have a wide selection of different types of chocolates. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the offerings. They have premade baskets of chocolates that would be ideal for gifts this time of the year!!
Love this shop in Port Jefferson. Great selection of hard ice cream, assorted chocolates, and chocolate dipped treats. The aroma as we walk through the door is always amazing! Great experience with a lot of nice people working there. Perfect after a day on the water or while strolling around town! Rob, Jenn and Jake.
My first time & I couldn’t stop my eyes from wandering. Love the varieties they have for ice cream & chocolates & what not. Loved the toasted coconut ice cream with waffle cone. The chocolate dipped apples looked delish. I wish it was close to where I live. I would definitely want to go back & try other flavors & other things they have.
We walked in and the three of us were greeted with complimentary hot chocolates (sample size) topped off with whipped cream. The manager was charismatic, friendly and inviting. The employees encouraged us to relax and enjoy our ice cream despite closing. Great ice cream, sweet people!
Nice place to get your sweet tooth fix! Many different choices of chocolate, candied apples, ice-cream etc... Staff is friendly and welcoming.
Went on Friday. Knowledgeable, friendly and sweet staff. Let us try like five ice creams, so nice. Delicious fudge! Try the chocolate orange peels. The s’mores, fudge vanilla and All American iced cream was amazing!!!

As the owner of the nearby Fox and Owl Inn bed and breakfast, I rely on local businesses to help elevate my own clients' experiences. Kilwins Port Jefferson is one of my go-to's when a client wants to create a special gift package for a loved one. Working with the Kilwins staff is always a pleasure, but I had a particularly lovely experience this past Friday evening and wanted to express my gratitude.
Rather last-minute, my client had a long list of goodies to assemble into a custom gift box for his sweetheart. When I went to the shop, the staff was personable, friendly, and entirely patient as they worked swiftly to balance all of the requests while staying within budget and creating a big, gorgeous package full of little chocolate/candy boxes and bags. The fact that most items are made there on site makes it delightful to be in the store and the product so fresh.
I was grateful to have delivered such a high quality product in the name of my business, and will be recommending and returning to Kilwins at every chance possible- for both my clients and my own gift and personal wants /needs. Thank you, Kilwins staff, for being so sweet and great at what you do!
Usually amazing ice cream, though a bit pricey, & last time, pistachio had a few burnt nuts.
Friendly place, clean and a place to seat. Try the toasted coconut, it's delish.
For the first time after years of different ice cream stores, the counter person asked me which flavor I wanted on top. They did not have peach flavor in a to-go container, but she did not doubt a second to pack it herself.
We are grateful for her kindness.
Out of this world, ice cream and candies. Try their marshmallow anything, and grab a bag to bring home. Not like any marshmallow you ever had.

Best ice cream down port! The staff members are wonderful. Fudge, chocolate covered pretzels, dipped apples... Everything we've purchased here has been fresh and delicious.

Delicious ice cream, but weird explanation of sizes. You can't just order scoops or cones. They have different names and won't tell you how many scoops they are. I've eaten there atleast a dozen times and still have no idea how much ice cream it will be haha.
Excellent, high quality ice cream with great flavors to choose from. Lots of chocolate and fudge choices as well. Unfortunately they seem to be a bit short staffed on the ice cream counter, the busiest part of the store, and the staff they do have have working the counter is very slow and not very generous with the scoopage. That aside, a way better ice cream alternative to the other places in town.
