This has been our favorite, go to restaurant for a couple of years, since we first discovered this Gem !!! The food is a fusion of flavors as with the Little Neck Clams, you eat the clams and soak up the broth with your bread. An amazing start every time there. Last night I had the sword fish entree and it was the best sword fish that I have ever had. Very tender and moist. I have no idea how Fernando does it, "but do, he does' !!! Fernando and his beautiful wife work hard to insure that you enjoy your time, as our very favorite server "James" does. Great place, great food, great service !!!
Being my birthday and my hubby wanted to go somewhere different it was a nice treat. We must of picked s great time because we didn’t have the crowd there. Noticed they came as we were finishing up. They got great reviews as one of the best in PSL and I’d have to agree. The waitress was very nice and assisted us when asking about the different items on the menu. Sorry I didn’t catch her name but she said she was from Poland . We even got the mousse to share. Will definitely be returning in the future.
The best authentic Portuguese food in Florida. My family and I come to Fernando's for all occasions and they never disappoint. The staff including the owner and chef Mr. Fernando are very courteous.
Love the New Bedford Cod dish and Portuguese Steak dish. Never had a bad meal here! Make reservations because they are always busy! Love this cozy restaurant
Kind and courteous service, good honest food, great Caprese salad and chicken wings, the Portuguese dish, Bacalhau à Brás, could be fluffier. The rice pudding was good.
This place is the best and the staff is amazing. Packed to the gills and still took my to-go order with a smile �. We come here often and can't say enough good things.

Wow, what an experience! This place has a Palm Beach feel and it is a tucked away little gem. The shrimp scampi with a lobster stock was to die for, the veal was amazingly tender, and the flaming chorizo- so flavorful & what a presentation. Thank you Fernandos Dockside!!
Outstanding food and atmosphere. Friendly staff and the food is outstanding!!! I am in Sebastian and will gladly make the trip down to feast on great food.

Last night was our third time at Fernando’s and I have to say Its one of mine and my husbands favorite restaurants. The food is amazing. All fresh ingredients and so flavorful! The staff is friendly and take great care us. Love that Chef Fernando comes out to greet his guest. Overall just a wonderful experience every time! Thank you ��

*Food: food is amazing here. The taste is really good and apparently cooked with care and love. The mussles are maybe the best ones I ever had all through my travels. The fish is great too. Try the cod.
*Service: the staff is very friendly and pleasant. It feels like a family and home.
*Atmosphere: portuguese music and atmosphere with a minimal decoration.
This place is a hidden treasure. My mom and I found this place accidentally and had the best lunch ever! The Sea Bass melts in your mouth and was beautifully seasoned. She wanted to sit outside and the staff was amazing in catering to our every request.
Best place to eat a codfish in town, also excellent wine, Fernando is always very polite, he is a true Portuguese chef. really recommend this place.
Paula, Bill, and I had an amazing dinner at Fernando's. Wonderful service, great food. This restaurant is truly a PSL treasure. Great company, too, of course. A wonderful way to end a wonderful day. I am surprised that the restaurant was not more crowded.
If you are looking for Portuguese fare, the real deal, you have found it right here at Fernando's dockside grill. It is a small location, with a pleasant atmosphere and personal touches everywhere. I specifically had a craving for salt cod and the chef did not disappoint. He is a true Portuguese chef from Providence Rhode Island, which is probably the Portuguese cuisine headquarters of the United States. In speaking with other diners, it is my understanding that the other items on the menu - other than Portuguese- are also very tasty which does not surprise me. I give this restaurant a solid two thumbs up and would not hesitate to return!
Very good. After browsing through the reviews on Urbanspoon I was doubtful that this place was a good choice for dinner.

Amazing! A must go!. Dont be scared by the Portuguese side of things, its actually really delicious and if you cant get over that there are regykar Mediterranean items as well. We got both types of soup(the Portuguese veggie and a potato like soup) both of which were fantastic and i ordered the Portuguese fish(delicious and the side of vegetables was unbelievably good) and the bf got the Portuguese pork sandwich(amazing) next time i will be oredering the Portuguese pork entree based on what the sandwich tasted like. Smaller intimate restaurant a little tucked away but if you have a chance to you must go.
Pleasantly surprised .. I had read the reviews but I still had misgivings because this restaurant isn't very big. Obviously, you can't judge a book by it's cover. Awesome decor and linen table cloths gave a hint about our evening. We were early enough on a Saturday evening to get one of the last tables despite the fact that we didn't have a reservation. What? A reservation ? in Port St Lucie? Yes, indeed. This is that kind of place. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, and the food (despite the limited menu) is fantastic. I had the Portugese Steakwith round cut fries in a sumptuous gravy and it was done to perfection. Add in some Portugese red wine and the evening was perfect.

Had a wonderful late lunch with my wife here. Shrimp peri peri (we had a full app)and shrimp/cod cakes ( we had one cake and shared, as a free taste) were really excellent. Veal and shrimp were great, steak Portugese was good, but I liked my wife's veal dish a bit more, a richer, more delicate flavor, my mouths watering writing this and I'm not even hungry!
Had the portugese salad which was very fresh and tasty, had small bits of sausage crumbles in it too (like bacon bit sized) kale and potato soup was really excellent, we shared a cup, wish I had my own:).
Service was attentive and on point- drinks refilled before they were finished, dishes removed replaced immediately, above average and they had a fair crowd watching the World Cup and a large birthday group at a table, so busy. We were very satisfied with our server.
Wife had portugese house red, was really good (of course I had a sip!) somewhere between a Pinot noir and a merlot, great for the hearty yet smooth taste of the veal. We shared a flan and it is made in house, very nice. All in all a wonderful meal at a nice place. We averaged $50 each with tip (20$), meals coming in between $15-20 dollars. The portions are ample and I think the price is right for the place, and quality of food. Very happy to see this place in PSL.

Great food - Friendly staff. My husband and I have been to this restaurant three times since it's opening. The food is phenomenal. Staff is friendly and efficient. Wonderful relaxing time. They allow you to enjoy your meal without rushing you out. So happy to have a great portuguese/Mediterranean restaurant in the area. Will definitely be back for more.
We came for Mother's Day.. Party of 6. While we did have to wait a bit (had reservations for 7pm) the place was slammed and we had to wait a little bit. We were offered a table outside and we're brought drinks while we waited. The weather was nice and we enjoyed the river view while the family was able to catch up. We were sat about 30 minutes later. The food was completely worth the wait!! We all ordered something from the Mother's Day menu and everyone cleaned their plates! I was pleasantly surprised with my Salmon. It was topped with almonds and glazed with a balsamic vinaigrette. So good. I've never heard of this place before but my mom came here a few nights before and specially requested to return for Mother's Day. I am so glad that she did! We will be back.
