Our chef was the best we have had so far. He really interacted with my boys. The food was great love the steak and scallops!
I absolutely love coming here I'm sure I'm viewed as the strange girl who wears Lolita and colorful wigs. But the staff there never fails to greet me with a smile and kind conversation we even had an incident with a waitress for hunts where we all just couldn't stop laughing truly a wonderful place to eat !
and I love the authentic areas in which to sit though watch out for the pits sometimes you can fall under them lol .

My favorite sushi restaurant! Godzilla, Secret Agent, and Kiss of Fire are some of my favorite sushi rolls! This place never disappoints! The hibachi is fantastic, too!
Our party of nine all thought the food was excellent while Chef Jimmy entertained us with his skillful prep and presentation. He even let our 9 yr old birthday boy join him in his act which made very special memories for us all. Thank you, Jimmy and Kumo's, for making our party!
They have the FRESHEST and most BEAUTIFULLY presented sushi in the Portage/Kalamazoo area. My wife and I have eaten here more than twenty times and have LOVED every bite. We will be coming back many times in the future. Thank you Kumo for bringing an excellent sushi experience to our community.
The best restaurant in the Kalamazoo area for sushi. Everything is of the highest quality and the service was excellent. We loved their appetizers, rolls and the sashimi was fresh, thick, and delicious.
We had a great experience for our first time! Everyone was friendly, great wait staff and great fun watching the chef cook every thing perfect. Portions were huge so needed a take home box!

My bestie and I were craving sushi and scheduled a date to check Kumo out. I got White Christmas and Sweet Potato. I have never had sushi this fresh and delish! And I’ve had a lot of sushi from all over. Saturday is buy one roll get one for $2! We will be back!
The sushi was great! The service was alright . The drinks were very over priced . But overall I'd definitely go back for the sushi

My wife and I grabbed dinner here recently. Had read good reviews and we were in the area and decided to try it since we both love sushi. It did not disappoint. The waiter was very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. We got a variety of rolls. The K-Zoo roll, Crunchy roll, and Angel roll were our favorites - but they were all great. While looking at the menu we noticed that Sunday appears to have the best sushi roll deals and pricing. That said, we felt that the quality was high and price was fair even without the special. We will definitely be back.
Great result for Asian food. Affordable prices. Average entries are around $20 to $30. I got the steak and shrimp Hibachi for about $25. Bill for 3 entries came to around $100 with an 18% gratitude and tax included. Overall fun dinning experience for a birthday or family celebration!
Service was great. We had a part of 9 and we were able to be seated withing 10 minutes. We didn't go during rush hours which is a big plus. Chef was great with kids as well as very friendly. Highly recommend.

Been eating sushi at Kumo over the past 10 years and never once have I had a bad meal. Top notch sushi. I recommend the Angel roll, Rainbow, and the crunchy roll. Gyoza dumplings are also a must and top it all off on their Yum Yum sauce. Oh the yum yum sauce. Ok now I’m hungry.
Great Staff! This restaurant is very clean and classy yet also very family friendly. I must admit I'm a huge fan of their fried rice! It's simply the best. They have many types of sushi you can try. Overall it's a great place!
Excellent food, bartender could have used some help but did just fine getting us seated while juggling 3 guests at the bar and the phone ringing off the hook. Our server was very accommodating and efficient.

This is our family's favorite place for sushi and hibachi! Highly recommend the Godzilla roll! Perfect for dining in or ordering to go!
Not the best sushi I've had but definitely in the top 5. The sushi is very fresh and reasonably priced. My favorite is the Smooth Guy Roll. So good! Their appetizers are great too, especially the shumai.
