Easily one of the best brunch places in Portland. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, and my personal favorite are the Chicken & Waffle and Banana Fosters French Toast. The chicken breading is very crunchy and flavorful. The house made whipped cream here is on another level, it’s just so silky and the perfect amount of sweetness. Expect a wait here though, especially during brunch time towards the end of the week.
Delicious food and great service! I have heard about this restaurant for years but I live in Aloha. I had also heard there is usually a long wait for a table. However, today we are on our way to the Hood River Fruit Loop so we thought we would try seating at opening on a Monday. The restaurant was already busy by 9:15am but there were tables available and the service was outstanding! Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was quick, hot and tasty! We are looking forward to our next visit!
Great service and delicious food! First time visit and we love it! I highly recommend it when you're in the Eastside area.
Coffee was fresh, banana foster french toast looked and tasted delicious.
Chicken & waffle was great too, if you are into the sweet potato. Chicken was just in great taste.
Huevos Rancheros was delicious with lots of beans.
The staff, Dani, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Also, she suggested some places to visit. Thanks for it! The service and payment were fast. Happy to visit again!
I'm visiting from out of town with my husband; and as we drove around this little place caught our eyes. Looks unassuming, and kinda quaint - but boy, is it anything -but-!
We were greeted warmly (like regulars!)
Our server was fantastic, very friendly and outgoing
Soft spoken but gave off great vibes, the whole place did! Food was amazing, and boy did it look great too!
Everything was plated amazing, the lighting in there helped a mil. Everything was just lovely.
We'll definitely be dropping by every time we're in town (the praline bacon was an instant hit, try it!).
Oh my.... this restaurant was awesome!!
We had a group of 6 and we were quickly sat with no reservations. Our server was amazing and friendly. She helped make suggestions on our meals and had such a cheerful personality that no one could not love her.
The food though... OMG!! It was amazing!! Sooo much flavor and large portions. Everyone in our group liked their selections. 5 out of 5 stars I recommend this restaurant.
Great place! It was busy even on a weekday morning, so make sure you make reservations. The service was still fast despite the restaurant being full! Portion sizes were enormous and everything was delicious! I was just super disappointed when the item on the menu I had my heart set on was not available. There must have been a menu change but the other item I got made up for it… almost ;)
Delicious Breakfast. Get anything with their fried chicken. The chicken and waffles was the table favorite. Friendly Staff. Fast Service. Good Prices. Kid-Friendly. Cozy Atmosphere. Overall this is an amazing place for breakfast. They are very popular so expect a little wait, but the food Will not disappoint.
Such a great atmosphere! The food is so fresh and so good! I enjoyed the veggie Benedict and the cheese grits. Their drinks are delicious. Don’t Tell Me What To Do - so refreshing!
The service from our first interaction at the hostess stand, to paying our bill was seamless and friendly. Our waiter was very nice and incredibly helpful & efficient.
Can’t wait to go back!
Been coming here occasionally for years. It’s pretty good overall, especially for dinner. Todays brunch fell kinda short. First of all, the service was impeccable, no faults there. The biscuits today were very “dense”. More like a thick cake, less lite and fluffy. The bacon had been cooked a while ago and allowed to sit around and dry out, therefore made it very hard. The crackers that came with the pimento cheese had a very spicy dusting on them that overpowered the cheese; all I could taste was the cracker. The pimento cheese by itself was good. The coffee was top shelf.
So todays visit was kinda disappointing. I’ll still go back for dinner, but would think twice about going for brunch.
Oh, and it’s really loud in the Burnside location if they are mostly full, which is most of the time. They need some sound dampening panels on the ceiling.
Dinner here was excellent! Exactly what I would expect. The service was great, ambiance lovely and food delicious. I highly recommend the pimento cheese starter, the fried chicken and the blueberry upside down cake for dessert. The cocktail I had was perfect (tequila/lime/passion fruit) not too sweet and strong enough. Would love to try brunch now!
