Convenient for the restaurant to be in the lobby especially for the first night of checking in and bring hungry after landing in Portland. My husband ate the Italian pork meatballs a d I had the prawn skewers. Both so amazing! Customer service from Jeff and Carmen were making me feel welcomed and comfortable. The bread and butter so good! And of course for desert we had the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream! Thanks for creating such a wonderful memory for our vacation!

Very cool and unique lounge. It was dark and moody. Jeff, the mixologist was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our cocktail requests. Great place, kind of underground and hip at the same time. We loved the retro jazz beats that were playing in the background. If you like to try different places off the beaten path, I highly recommend!

I truly love this hidden gem. It’s perfect for a solo quiet meal if you need a place to decompress and it’s an ideal little date night nook for intimate conversations and a dimly lit vibe. Parking is always easy. The Hotel deLuxe is beautiful and honestly the service is attentive but not invasive which I deeply appreciate. The drinks are delightful and the food is simple and delicious.

Amazing food and beyond wonderful service. So many fun drinks too! The Elizabeth Taylor was my favorite. Smaller than the photos made it look so if you have a large party, definitely call ahead. Was pretty dark as well, but added to the ambience.

The best atmosphere. Oozes Mad Men vibes. Great for a quiet conversation over cocktails.

Felt like an classic cocktail bar with the dim lights and the furnishing, which we enjoyed. The bartenders were well versed into the various spirits and were able to deliver some of our favorite classics, true to style! Not to mention, the apps are elevated and paired well with our drinks. Pic is after cause we enjoyed it too much!

The place is a little small but the drinks are great and they'll serve in the lobby of the hotel for larger groups

Everything here from the food to the drinks to the service and ambiance was amazing. The spaetzle was so good and definitely recommend the snowbird or insidious peach (if you like absinthe!) for a fun drink. One of the highlights of our Portland trip for sure

The atmosphere is sexy, the cocktails are amazing, and interesting, and the food is delicious. They have a whole section for both local and foreign absinthes, and absinthe cocktails. A great spot for a nice date night.

Mellow atmosphere, music at just the right volume, very satisfying fare, excellent service. Try the champagne cocktails or an absinthe tower.

Solid cocktails! You can also order custom cocktails by letting the bartender know what you’d like (ie flavour, type of alcohol etc.), which I ordered one, and I LOVED it. Very friendly staff, dark but cozy atmosphere, great cocktails. I’d definitely go back.

A small and quite place part of a big hotel building. This place is dark inside, very much looks like a date place. I was looking for a good Absinthe place and landed here. They prepare Absinthe in the traditional way, with the water fountain, sugar cube and the spoon. The drink itself was good after all, the bartender had great knowledge on Absinthe’s in general. I also tried the Manhattan flight, this was fantastic.

Solid overall: drinks and food. Wouldn't say incredible, but the atmosphere is dark (tonally) and the dimly-lit vibe is one that's very conducive to an intimate first date. Not bad for a hotel bar, though! Unique in that sense.

Imagine walking in and taking a trip back in time to the 1950's where Frank Sinatra was in the corner working on a Bellini. Found this place by accident, and loved it from the second I walked in. Empty during the day, it fills up quick at night. Their noted cocktails include the use of Saffron, and they are excellent. Hidden secret that hopefully the denizens of Portland never discover and ruin.

Very small but really good. Drinks are next level for sure. It is a little dark but sets the mood.

Possibly the darkest room I’ve ever eaten in, but once our eyes adjusted it was not a problem. Really excellent cocktails and food. The Manhattan flight was amazing and the bacon cheeseburger was huge and very tasty. I can’t wait to go back.

Very good food. Happy hour was fantastic. The bar is cozy and quint and has a bit of nostalgia to it. Waitstaff is excellent, as expected. Its nestled inside the Hotel Delux. Nice hotel. The location: Its kinda downtown but on the other side of the bridge.

There’s something beautifully ironic about rereading The Jungle while drinking a top shelf dirty martini… or maybe that’s my cynical soul seeping out. Spencer was absolutely delightful and while we both agreed tequila is not the drink for me, I’ll be back as soon as possible to enjoy the dimly lit happy hour which looked absolutely delicious. Extra points for making me feel like I was in an episode of madmen because no one seemed to be on their phones and actually appeared in engaged in whatever conversations they were having.

Outstanding drinks. This is a place to go for lovely cocktails. Not a big wine list, but makes excellent mixed drinks and specialty cocktails. Love the champagne cocktails as well!!
