This place is nothing short of amazing, especially if you're celebrating something special. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere swept us off our feet with its romantic charm. The decor, dim lighting, and cozy ambiance create the perfect setting for our anniversary dinner. Indulge in a diverse menu crafted with culinary expertise, each bite bursting with exquisite flavors. The attentive and knowledgeable staff adds to the exceptional dining experience, offering top-notch recommendations for both food and drinks. Speaking of drinks, the bar serves up some fantastic concoctions. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or a cocktail enthusiast, the options are extensive and crafted to perfection. And let's talk about the views – breathtaking! The restaurant boasts picturesque scenes that add to the overall romantic vibe. It's the kind of place where every corner seems to have a story, making it ideal for creating lasting memories. One piece of advice: make a reservation, especially on weekends. We witnessed a long wait for walk-ins, but trust me, the experience is well worth planning ahead for. Fortunately, there's a convenient parking garage in the building, making it hassle-free for those dining in downtown Portland. In conclusion, if you're looking for a place to celebrate love, milestones, or just a special night out, this gem in downtown Portland is the perfect choice. We left with hearts full and satisfied palates, eager to return for another enchanting experience.

Amazing service, views, and food! The wife and I started with the crabcake. Simply amazing and a must-have for seafood lovers! We then ordered the braised short ribs and the grilled seafood trio. Both meals were impeccable and delicious! Our serving staff member was polite, funny, and knowledgeable throughout. The views were simply unique and amazing! Thanks for a great meal and experience!

I went on my birthday to relax and take in the views. The food and service is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. There's a strong Asian food bent. The Pork Belly and Steamed Buns really blew me away. I don't tend to care for pork belly, but this changed my mind. The private rooms are gorgeous. Drinks pictured: Rare & Fancy Old Fashioned and The Butterfly Effect

Great night view of the city high on the 30th floor. The bread was excellent as a good indicator for the rest of the meal. Clam chowder was served hot and tasted great. Medium rare rib eye was perfectly cooked. Mushroom with garlic was delicious. Appetizer scallops wasn’t our favorite part of the menu - a bit too much sauces and covered the taste of the scallops.

I had a delicious birthday dinner at the Portland City Grill! Fancy dining with excellent service where your water glass is never empty. I enjoyed the Shellfish Bouillabaisse which I highly recommend! My husband had the braised short ribs which were delicious. The best part about this restaurant is the view of the city from the 30th floor. I definitely recommend this place for a special occasion.

Portland has had its chances to emulate Seattle's Space Needle, but never really had the civic will to even start such a project. Portland City Grill is able to offer some of the same sweeping views from 30 floors up, albeit somewhat limited to facing east and south. Photographers will want to take a short and long lens in their kit, and augment their photos with a polarizing filter to minimize as many reflections in the windows as possible. (Which i neglected to do.) Polarizing sun glasses will help those using cell phone cameras. Now, to the food. It is very well prepared It is definitely a "no brainer" to taste the difference between meals prepared by a chef and a short-order cook. There is something on the menu to entice you no matter what your meal preferences may be. The desserts are just as tantalizing. The serving staff is attentive, and unobtrusive. Your glass or cup will not stay empty for long unless you prefer that. Each server is a professional in every respect. Treat your self to dinner here, it is a culinary highlight you will remember for years to come.

Incredible service by Jen (she went above and beyond catering to my daughter’s dairy allergy) and top-notch food and drinks. Best steak and seafood. The view is always lovely and we had the best time celebrating Christmas Eve. What a treat!

The restaurant did not take any more reservations in the evening we planned to go there. The person on the phone said we are welcome to come and if they have enough space we can be seated. We went and found they have two different sections, one section for those with reservation and another that with free seating as long as there is a space available. And it is a pretty big space. Chelsey, the person assigned to our table, was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the grilled seafood trio, grilled mahi mahi, and Thai brussel sprouts. Their Thai brussel sprouts and seafood trio were delicious. The best brussel sprouts we ever tasted. The restaurant was located on the 30th floor. The elevator at the lobby will let us go up until 4 pm sharp. Beautiful view of the city from here.
