I wanted my Dad to have a world-class sushi experience and Bamboo did not disappoint. Our server, Elliot, was knowledgeable, attentive (especially given how crazy busy the place was), and made sake recommendations that were perfect. The food was fantastic, and the Green Machine earned it's rave reviews. We had two spectacular desserts as well, a whiskey/salted caramel pudding and a ginger powder, gingersnap quasi ice cream cookie thing that was amazing. Thanks Bamboo for a wonderful night out with my Dad!
I love bamboo sushi, especially sitting up at the sushi bar and the chefs are great at customizing rolls and accommodating my high maintenance pregnancy requests happily and made my food delicious. I also appreciate that they have a mock tail menu too 👍🏻
My boyfriend does not usually like uncooked & fishy food..... but he loved Bamboo Sushi. This is history, folks. We had the prime rib, the salmon yakumi (with the topping", the albacore carpaccio, the budino... amongst others. For drinks, we loved the Tokyo Manhattan.
So far this is the best restaurant we have been to in Portland. If we are ever in the city again, we are definitely coming back.

This place always knocks it out of the park. We have been fans since the beginning at 28th and Pine. High quality sashimi, Uni never disappoints. Service is great. Atmosphere is amazing. Wait staff knowledgeable and provide excellent recommendations. Just can’t say enough good things about the place.

Some of the best sushi ever! Started with the fried cauliflower that was really well done. The miso caesar salad was tasty. Shishito peppers were a hit! Unicorn roll and sunset roll were awesome. Along with the various tuna nigiri we had. Garlic chili chicken was good, but the green beans that came had the string still on that made them difficult to eat. Very well done sushi!
What a great culinary experience! Enjoyed every meal and the service was so helpful and attentive! I had the nigiri chefs selection, uni, fried chicken karaage and spicy edamame as well as the macha panna cotta.
We enjoyed the service, atmosphere, and food here. The Snow Tiger sake was delicious. It made for a wonderful date night. The sushi was super fresh and delicious.

By far the best sushi dining experience I’ve ever had. Even with my shellfish allergy, the staff was super accommodating and careful to make sure I could enjoy my meal, worry free. Big shoutout to Austin, our server – his service was top-notch, he knew the menu well and made our time there even better. It is obvious he loves his job and is proud to work there (as he should be)!
Now, onto the grub! The Garden of Eden roll was a flavor explosion – a real masterpiece. I devoured the entire roll myself. And that Wagyu burger? It's like burger heaven redefined – juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor in every bite.

Yo. Where do I even begin. First of all whoever cooked my octopus, please list your grandmothers phone number below. So that I may call her and thank her for birthing your mama. I have never tasted something so perfectly cooked, cleaned, and cared for in my life. I don’t typically like being the person who has to take a picture of their food before they eat it, but I felt like I was staring into the eyes of the Loch Ness monster. This dish was basically the equivalency of my mythological creature, if I didn’t capture a photo with anybody even believe me!? Thank you so much to the staff and the cooks. I’m not gonna lie. It helps that there wasn’t one unattractive person in that building. Everyone looks like they really loved working there, and that just changes the vibe of the meal. Not to mention best radio station I’ve ever eaten sushi to lol Mahalo for everything you guys do Mahalo for taking care of the fish that you serve me. Mahalo for setting the standards. Seriously, so impressed.
The best sushi I’ve had in Portland. There are some excellent vegetarian options for signature and traditional rolls. The green machine is my personal favorite- it’s unexpected and so tasty. Also ordered the avocado crispy rice, cauliflower starter, and edamame. Everything we had was wonderful!
High quality and delicious sushi, hand rolls, and crispy karaage. Definitely recommend the karaage and edamame, both were amazing. We came for happy hour and had great service from our server (Sarah, I think? Thanks!) Happy hour prices were great and the interior design is very nice. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying some more entree's.
