Delicious!! Great, fun staff, pasta to die for and amazing drinks! It's very unique, you order at host stand and then sit family style or at the kitchen bar, which are always fun and great if you're solo! I had the carbonara, a side of meatballs and a Bonita Apple Rum, all just amazing! Decent prices, cool vibe and delicious food!!

Good pasta. Pasta itself in Carbonara didn't have a lot of sauce on it and it all sat at the bottom. Brussels sprouts were very good. Not very healthy the way they were made but very tasty.

Their food is amazing! We had the pesto, the gnocchi, and another pasta with red sauce and Italian sausage. All tasted great. The drinks were also good and refreshing. There is also a bar right next to it which is connected to the restaurant from the inside, you can go hang there after dinner.

Excellent handmade pasta shop. it was too delicious. staff were very helpful and friendly. Vegan options were very helpful as I can't eat meat. The garlic fried egg pasta was excellent. The crispy bread slices on it were great. I wanna go there again.šŸ˜‹šŸšŸ“šŸ½ Thank you so much.

I love the unique order/pay/sit system and the speed at which they operate. Caesar salad is wonderful with great balance and big flavors. Pasta dishes excellent. No deserts and austere seating in a group setting keep things moving nicely.

Walking into Grassa it feels more like a deli than an Italian restaurant. But that makes it all the better. I was impressed with the quality of the pasta considering it was ordered at a counter. When we were waiting, a man walked past saying "the rigatoni is bomb, garlic bread is a must." Thank you sir, you were right. The rigatoni was amazing and the garlic bread was a delight. My friends ordered the Black Truffle Pappardelle, Occhi Di Lupo, and Carbonara. Alayna (Carbonara) says the noodles are perfectly "bouncy," the pancetta was great (she got more of it than she expected and they were larger too), and that the menu says there's a fried egg on top and that's accurate so be ready for one. She was not so I got to eat the egg and it was very good. The staff were all quick, kind, and ready to help. We sat down at one of the booths before it was completely clean and the staff took care of it quickly while being nice about the fact that we were the ones that sat down too quickly. The restaurants design was great and I was impressed by the faux industrial touches. The booth was comfortable and the tableware was nice too. Overall this is a great little restaurant and the food is ready quickly. A good option for before or after a movie!

We stumbled upon this place almost a year ago while visiting Portland and I havenā€™t been able to stop thinking about it. I vigorously perused Google to figure out the name so I could leave a review. The pasta is absolutely amazing, everything made in house, never had anything better. Cannot wait to return to Portland and enjoy more.

Vodka Pasta with sausage was great although I couldnā€™t really taste much of the vodkaā€¦ it was mainly tomato sauce lol. Mac and cheese was also pretty unique but tasty. Wasnā€™t too much of a fan of the a la carte style weā€™re you have to rush your decision at the front desk before you can get seated

The food was delicious. Love the open kitchen. I felt like I was at a fancy restaurant but with a relaxed atmosphere. The water container and cups are already on the table so you can serve yourself. Also available on the table are utensils since seating is available at either two of the high top tables. There were two booths, another table, and plenty of patio seating. In addition to that there were four seats available at a bartop facing the kitchen. Take out is available which is very convenient as I imagine seats can go quick during busy times.

Grassa offers excellent homemade pastas with laid back atmosphere. Came here for lunch and ordered Pork Belly Mac & Cheese, Spaghetti alla Chitarra, Fusilli a la Vodka (spicy), and Burrata. Everything was very tasty. Highly recommend~

I got the Sweet Corn Triangoli and the seasonal burrata and nearly cried when I tried the pasta. I know it is only a seasonal dish but if they ever bring it on full time I may have to move to Portland. Iā€™m also dying to try their Whipped Potato pasta if they bring that back so maybe Iā€™ll just move here regardless. 10/10 recommend this spot.

The pasta and breadsticks at this restaurant are delicious, and the cocktails are refreshing and complement the food perfectly. The location is great, and it's a nice place to relax and people-watch.

Amazing homemade noodles and sauces in a laid back vibe restaurant! We really enjoyed ordering at the counter and felt like it enhanced our time because we could focus on each other without interruption! Get the calamari and eat the lemon slices because honestly they are amazing! Simple menu but everything is done perfectly !

The meatballs and rigatoni were amazing! The pesto pasta was missing salt. We also tried the Italian margarita and Negroni. They give you water. I liked the place in general, you just make the order and pay, they take the dish to your table. When I went they had a line, but the wait was worth it. I wish they had pictures of the food in the restaurant.

I got the sweet corn triangoli, a Mexican inspired ravioli. I almost got the rigatoni and went with something classic and predictable, but I'm SO glad I didn't. This was delicious!! The flavors were so unique and balanced perfectly. The corn filling makes it pretty sweet but the acidity of the cilantro and lime balances it out. My wife got the carbonara and said it was some of the best she's had. The egg on top was a good touch. I don't often leave reviews but this place stood out. Highly recommend!

This is a good find in downtown if you want to eat some yummy but not expensive pasta. We went there as a group and the host was very courteous and the order process was very simple too. We placed our order and there was sufficient seating available (read not crowded). I had the Spaghetti El Pesto and the Fried Brussel Sprouts. Both were really good. Colleagues had other dishes and they loved theirs too. Definitely want to go back here and try out other stuff.
