So, I'm a type of individual who stays on a schedule when I eat. My friends and I walked in, so of course, there would be a wait. Being unaccustomed to eating late, I was curious about the food and its true quality. Well.....the wait was worth it. Tusk over exceeded my expectation for how delicious their cuisine turned out. The staff at the door was greatly accommodating, and our server was a great hostess. I really enjoyed this place. Reminded me that sometimes.....having some wait time....is good time! Thank you Tusk! :)

My boss took our firm plus our dates here last night. The food was incredible. I definitely enjoyed the unique menu items and the diverse flavor range they offered. The za'atar and cumin salt were fantastic additions to our feast. Tusk truly has some of the best food in Portland. I also enjoyed the aesthetics-- from the menu design, to the ambience of the space, and to the great attention to detail in the finishes. These aspects make Tusk stand above the rest.

This place is hopping! Filled to the brim, and they still managed to seat us at the bar, where the bartenders took excellent care of us! The food came out at good intervals, and every dish was delicious. And the drinks, all well crafted, beautiful, and strong without being harsh. I would highly recommend you visit!

Drinks were yum, Cubano? It was SOoooo good. Food is very veggie driven and so fresh, simple, beautiful. Chef is really getting it done. Service could be more anticipatory and was lacking on some levels, but server was helpful in guiding order even though we over ordered. We are it all. The mezze so good, but they could give more feta and more crackers. Was a bit less than it should be. Flavors of summer dance on your palette while the summer air washes over the dining room. The host was kind enough to accommodate us in the front room after we were shown the dungeon in the back...so that was lovely. Just go check it out. It’s great.

We seriously had the best service I've ever had last night, and the food itself was phenomenal. Don't skip dessert! So glad we stopped in while visiting the area.

Omfw! Non-traditional Middle-Eastern fusion brunch! Tired of eating chicken and waffles, benedicts, and the same basic bitch breakfast cuisine? Check out Tusk. Their food is packed with suble complexities, and layered with palate pleasing culinary execution. An imported and unique addition to the Portland culinary scene.

We had a reservation and it was honored with prompt seating. I’ve been cooking for Joshua McFadden’s cookbook and had a good idea of what to expect. The dishes are mainly vegetable-centric with amazing flavors and presentation. Our dishes were the Tusk hummus, carrots and broccoli, zucchini with herbed yogurt sauce, lamb kabob and baked cheese. Every one of them was perfect! I had one of their cocktails: Hazy Jane. Not only the prettiest drink ever, it was delicious. Rose petals, ginger, lemon, vodka, hibiscus and yogurt. Excellent service, lovely atmosphere and good food is why I give Tusk five stars.

What an amazing party for the mouth. A vegetarian's dream! But 90% of our party were not vegetarian and enjoyed it just as much. Bold flavors, imaginative dishes and terrific service. Can't wait for our next visit!

We visited Tusk on a Friday evening and decided to do the deluxe dining option. I think it was a great value for 12 dishes! Some dishes were good, others were excellent. If you’re willing to be flexible, I definitely think it’s the route to go. Favorite dishes included the delicata squash, hummus and pita, baked feta, and pistachio cake. Lots of great vegetarian and vegan options which I always really appreciate!

One of Portland’s top restaurants. Great for a large group and sharing small plates family-style. The kafta was my favorite dish - a perfect juxtaposition of textures and spices. The Brussels sprouts were also somehow the star of the show. I’d also recommend a hummus plate or two if you’re here with a group. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any dishes here. I’d highly recommend this spot to any of my friends or family and I will definitely be back soon.

Tusk was just as delicious as we had heard about. It was our 1st time and the food was soooo good. Very unique wine list which is exciting. Service was good. Atmosphere was a little lacking-- it was very cold in the main area of the restaurant with a bit of a no music / silent vibe. If music was playing I couldn't hear it. Back to the food! Amazing: Baked cheese, Hummus, sauces -zhoug & chili oil, rice, pita, beef & chicken kabobs, collards greens & chicken peas, and falafel. Everything was great! The greens were surprisingly amazing and I'm a fan of traditional southern collard greens, wow these were surprisingly fantastic. Hummus was some of the best I have had. When we got our bill, our waitress told us the 20% tip that was already added on was "for the kitchen only", so this was disappointing. Places like Nostrana do this but are up front and not deceiving about it. The additional tip line is for the server but by her saying the added in tip was for the kitchen only then makes u think she needs an additional 20%. So we're we supposed to tip $50 on a just over $100 bill. I doubt that and if that's true then we wouldn't chose to return in the future. According to the website it's split between all hourly employees. So kinda bummed it ended this way. Otherwise, we would come back for the food!

Great place for dinner and drinks. Tusk G&T (gin and tonic) was delicious. Hibiscus infused gin with a hint of sweetness. Baked cheese, chicken skewers and the pita bread were my favorites.

Great service and atmosphere. A bit overpriced considering their portion sizes and selections. Not saying you need to serve in heaps but there's room for improvement. The desert we had from the secret menu was not impressive. Hopefully they'll add more selections in the future.

Dinner was fantastic. We did the preset menu. The down part is the entire table has to agree on main, it would be nice if you could have a couple of choices, especially if you have a large table. We had a table for 10. Everything that was served prior to main was delicious. Main was also delicious, but serving of main was very small. We had lamb, and it was so good, but it was filled with bones, and we all had a few bites each at best. That was the consensus of the entire table. Would definitely go back, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Drinks were also fantastic!

I was blown away by the fast and personable service and beautiful and clean restaurant, and that was before the food even came out! My family choose the "let us cook for you" experience and it was one I'll never forget. Not only did they come out with the appetizer course quickly, but they timed the rest of the dishes to come out with enough of a break in between. The spread for the appetizer took up the whole table and every item in the entire 4 courses was so delicious that I am looking forward to my next visit here.

SO DELICIOUS! especially the cheese melt 🤤. Steak was tender and delicious (didn't enjoy the cold potatoes) and the tomato salad was fantastic. Tusk is a must try

Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Wonderful open dining room. We tried three cocktails and all were nuanced and delicious. The Food was well portioned and interesting the lamb pork belly skewer was off the hook. I just really want to highlight how great our server and the rest of the staff was! We had a great time will definitely go back

Had brunch and ordered the shakshuke Verde. My friend has the breakfast plate that was a nice variety of things.. It was good I think I needed more pita. Coffee was good as well. Excellent service and really nice bathrooms.

This is a classy upscale restaurant. Really happy I found this one! They have a relatively small menu but the food is tasty! Expect to pay $60-80 per person but definitely visit!

I come for the food, I stay for the service. In a section of Portland crowded with many good dining options, Tusk stands out for a staff that is passionate, eager, and professional. During my visit I noticed that every guest received a warm welcome (yes, every one) and our service at the bar was fantastic as both the bar manager and bartender were engaging, knowledgeable, and helpful. Plus, the staff genuinely seemed to enjoy their work and rejoiced that tables were coming in late into the evening. Tusk and their staff work hard on every level to provide an outstanding experience.

The food was pretty good but many dishes were overly salty. Our server was very sweet and because of our big group, she gave us extra pieces for some dishes. At least that’s what we thought. Beware of extra charges when servers decide to “give you extra” for your larger group. Other then that, my group enjoyed our time there. I would recommend to try it at least once, but it’s not a place I’d go to a second time.

Absolutely awesome experience! Went with two others and did the "deluxe dinner experience", and the food was amazing, the selections and pairings were spot on. When dessert came up, I couldn't have the selection due to lavender allergy, and they provided me with a single portion of an alternative dessert instead. The staff were amazing, the cocktails were awesome, and the atmosphere was cozy. Will definitely be going back there again.

We loved this place. With drinks, appetizer, two to three sides, 3 different skewers and a dessert ended up being about $65 a person. We loved everything suggested to us by our waiter, especially the baklava- you’ve got to try it! The one thing as a table we didn’t like was the broccolini; it was kinda bitter, but everything else far exceeded our expectations. We will be going back!

Went here on my birthday and it was amazing. My husband had a reservation and they seated us in the small room in the back. Not sure if that’s common if you have a reservation since it’s my first time here. Love the atmosphere in that area and it’s not too noisy. The food was amazing. We got a beef kafta, washugyu steak, and the lamb. For the drinks, I got Time and Space slushie and my husband got coffee. Everything was delicious. If you are with another person, I recommend getting an appetizer or a salad or just ordering another main dish that you both can share. Have been in Portland for almost a year now and this is officially added to my favorites list!

Went here for birthday dinner. It is an upscale and fancy Mediterranean restaurant with indoor and heated outdoor/patio seating. The vibe was cozy and chill. We ordered mezze platter where the server explained all the little sides. The pita bread was fresh. In mains, we ordered Falafal and Lebnah (comes with two dips) and Chicken skewers with muhamara. Loved the Falafal as it was fresh and tastes good. I wished the chicken skewers were more juicy and flavourful. Quantity is quite little for what you pay(just fancy restaurant things) I was expecting a lot from the cocktail menu. I believe the menu keeps changing or rotating every few months. We ordered Hazy Jane (tasted like rose lassi, yummy but watery) Red fox which tasted exactly like toddy. Overall, good experience especially with food. Ambience - 4.5/5 Food. - 4.55 Cocktails. - 4/5 Would go back again to try something new if they change the menu. Pricey with less quantity but a good dining experience!

Great food, great atmosphere! Servers were very attentive to my boyfriend's tree nut allergy. I'd recommend ordering the Grand Mezze Platter, enough food for two people and lots of vegetarian options. We will definitely be back next time we're in Portland!

My husband and I had the deluxe preset menu. In the past I always had the mezza, but the menu has since changed. We didn’t realize this would be so much food. I do love having a lot of small shared dishes to try. The food was good, but by the time the main came out, we could only eat a bite or two because we were so full. It does also come with dessert, but we just couldn’t eat anymore. I will definitely come back, but I probably won’t do the deluxe again. I would just choose my favorites .
