Had a wonderful experience at the Box Social. We got their happy hour options of the tuna melt and the Parmesan popcorn, which were fantastic deals. Normally places give you tiny little portions for their happy hour, but not here! The Parmesan popcorn came out as a very large and delicious serving, and the tuna melt was amazing and a proper size, even came with a side salad as well which I thoroughly enjoyed. The atmosphere in here is absolutely wonderful and I enjoyed an expertly crafted whiskey cocktail. So much to love here, will definitely be recommending this spot to my friends on their future Portland trips!

Nice spot for drinks! Decided to stop by here since there was a wait to eat at Eem. I ended up getting the "pick yourself" drink. I told the server I felt like drinking something similar to a mule, and the bartender just had some fun with it! Drink overall was fine. Street parking only.

We stopped by here after our sad experience at XLB to grab a cocktail. First, love the ambiance and atmosphere. We sat at the bar and it was our type of scene. The bartenders were friendly but also gave us space for us to enjoy our drinks and conversations. They did periodically check in. We had the cocktail flight to try and we enjoyed each and every one of them! Looks like these flights are seasonal. We tried their parmesan popcorn and it tasted exactly like you'd expect it.. A lot bigger than we anticipated. Their whiskey sour was really good, recommended that. I didn't care for their rotating old fashion. Old fashions should be served on a single ice cube and a bunch of mixed cubes doesn't hit the same. This is also my fault because I forgot to ask about the ice cube like I generally do (wow I sound so pretentious). But other than the ice cubes part, the drink itself was strong but it wasn't smooth and we didn't care for it. But I saw the bartender make a regular old fashion with a single ice cube! My boyfriends tequila cocktail came out looking girly and I laughed because he thought it was going to come out 'cool' looking. 😂 The drink itself was pretty strong but because I had been drinking more whiskey drinks, I didn't want to indulge in his as I don't like mixing. But he really liked his drink.

Great space to eat, chill, and people watch. I was with 3 others on the first really rainy day of the end of summer. It was in the 60s and called for tomato soup. We all got that with either a grilled cheese or tuna melt. Their seasonal non-alcoholic cocktail was so good!!! I don't drink and I've had some decent ones but this one as really good and actually tasted like a cocktail. Wasn't my first time there but I'll be back.

Their cocktails are all amazing. Second breakfast all the way. Definitely worth a stop! Whiskey Business is also worth a drink. Espresso Martini is delicious.

One of my favorite bars in North Portland area. I'm glad that they reopened. There's been a slight change to the menu but you can still order some of the old drinks from the previous menu. The drinks are fun and playful. Great vibe and service.

This is a truly friendly and welcoming neighborhood bar that also happens to have fabulously crafted cocktails by the bartenders! I loved the smokiness of the Sazerac and the lush rye in the paper plane. It's a really chill sleek bar with a relaxing environment and a mid century flair!

The atmosphere of Box Social was very laid back. The drinks my date and I ordered were the El Gauncho and the Dirty Little Thief. The El Gauncho comes with a half shot of Mezcal on the side. The Mezcal shot can either be drank by itself or put in the drink. Forewarning though, the Mezcal has a very smoky flavor that will transform the El Gauncho into another entirely different tasting drink. The El Gauncho was very fruity and sweet tasting whereas the Dirty Little Thief was spicy and sour. The sage in the Dirtt Little Thief was a refreshing touch. My date and I were feeling the drinks as soon as the second round touched out lips. Will be coming back.

Fantastic drinks with super friendly staff! Love this place! We ordered El Guapo and Cover artist, and both were super delicious. El Guapo was refreshing and rich with several layers of flavors. It was also entertaining to watch bartender making those drinks in front of us as well. We were also lucky enough to see him making a hot drink that has coffee in it. It looked yummy enough just looking at it. Would totally come back to finish rest of the drinks!

Spontaneously came here for a couple of delicious late night happy hour drinks. A Moscow mule and a gin with grapefruit juice, they were awesome. The ambience is great for a date night. We sat at the bar and got great service. We chatted with the nice bartender who was really funny and recovering from their holiday party from the night before. I would recommend this place. We wanted to try happy hour food too but unfortunately we were so full from dinner.

This is a great cocktail bar in North Portland. The atmosphere is great for a date night or a night out with your friends. I suggest the Espresso Martini - rarely is this drink made we’ll and the bartenders here really show you how it should be done.

Great signature cocktails. Delicious food to share and nibble on while you drink. It's got a mellow and low key vibe, with very friendly servers and bartenders. Clean, cozy, and relaxing spot to grab a craft drink on N. Williams.

Nice ambience, snacks, and of course drinks. This is my go to place for a good old fashioned. It's small and quiet, good for conversations. There's some people watching too on busier days.

The grilled cheese was delectable. Goldfish was the icing on the cake. Also had the Dirty Little Thief cocktail and it was spicier than I expected ! Still delicious ✨
