Highly recommend Wilfs 🍹 We took Dustin to Wilfs restaurant tonight and I must say they have the absolute best steak and bananas foster I have ever had in my life. To make it eve better they also had the Best service I have ever had at a restaurant. Tableside food prep with an entertaining story on how each dish originated. The live jazz music was a great bonus too I don't think I'll ever be satisfied with another steak

One of the best and most under-rated restaurants in Portland. We've always had fantastic service, and the food is heavenly. Wilfs serves one of the best filets we've ever had. Perfect for date night, or for a friends' get-together. Plus, the live jazz music on the weekends is spot-on.

It was like stepping back in time but without the creepy feeling or smell. Haha. It was excellent and for sure will return when the vegetarian options are expanded. For sure will recommend to friends and family that are not vegetarian. My boys loved the steak Diane.

Absolutely amazing dinner. From the greeting at the front door to the very end we were catered to by no less than three people. The band was great. Food hot and flavorful. Atmosphere was spot on. Highly recommend Wilfs to anyone wanting that special experience

The ambiance was perfect. The food was delicious, (if you're a chocoholic, you have to get the Chocolate Creamcheese Cake). Excellent staff too. I will return😊

Good food and atmosphere. Although they don't have a GF menu, they do have GF bread. I had dinner here before I took a train up north. They knew the train schedule and were amazing about getting my order in and out quickly so I could be done and on my way in time. Friendly staff and the burger I had was very good. Will have to go back for the live music another times

This is probably the 5th or 6th time that we have gone to Wilfs. It is always an enjoyable, and tasty experience. John, the maitre d' is not only an excellent host, but also has a wonderful table side manner if the dish requires it. He is always pleasant and very accommodating. If possible, he makes sure we get the table we like, and the server Daniel has always been very friendly, and attentive without hovering. The food has always been prepared well. And of course, we love the live jazz musicians. For a wonderful evening Wilfs makes the perfect spot to go to. We will certainly return! Thanks to the staff for making the evening a pleasant one!

This review is slightly late but WOW! Loved this restaurant. We were greeted promptly and seated in these wonderful wing back chairs. We did have a Groupon but that didn't change the level of service we received. The waiter was very knowledgeable on the wine selection. The food was superb and the live jazz music was fantastic. If youre just visiting or live here this place is a do not miss!

Straight up old-school fine dining at its very best. The Maitre d' and his staff were wonderful and accomodating. The Caesar salad and steak Diane, both prepared at our table by the witty and charming Maitre d ', were delicious. My pre-dinner martini was perfect, and the jazz trio in the lounge lent just the right atmosphere. Can't say enough how much we enjoyed it. They even had a hat check for my fedora. Superb!

We had our first experience at Wilf's last week and couldn't believe we didn't know about this place sooner. Apparently it's a longstanding landmark to many, but we were newbies. The service is phenomenal. Not uptight and stuffy, just welcoming and aiming to please. The food was photo worthy, but we ate it too fast. 😉 We had steaks and they were out of this world. The sides were yummy too, as well as the appetizers and dessert. The performers sang a variety of holiday songs, which was nice. Because we were new to Wilf's, the staff was eager to share some of the history of the business, which centers around family and a shared passion for the restaurant. Overall, it is a great place for an intimate date night, or dine as a group. A great place to splurge and treat yourself.

I was looking for a piano bar in Portland. I found Wilf’s. Even though it isn’t a piano bar, they offer live entertainment. Boy am I glad I found Wilf’s. My friend who happens to be a professional chef and I shared a magical evening. The food was great. We shared a Cesar salad and steak Diane, both prepared at our table, both delicious. The entertainment was delightful. Eating at the train station was so much fun. It felt like we had been transported to a different time, an overall 5 star evening. I’ll be back, that is for sure.

My husband got the Diane steak and they made vegetarian accommodations for me, a really tasty pasta! Their drinks are to die for- and our waiter, Douglas, was very thoughtful and gave us explanations for every meal! Amazing service because of him and the manager on duty that night! Highly recommend for any couple that enjoys live jazz, being romantic, and living the night up!

Lovely old school place to see live jazz. Wednesday night vocal jam is a fun time to catch local singers in a friendly community vibe. We were advised to make reservations even though we only had drinks.

Food was delicious. However, not worth the price. Service was fake. Forced tip included. Lady next to us had red wine spilled on her by the server. Forced out by time limit even though we had not received our bill. Will try again in a few months to see it we can revise. was not a good valentines dinner experience.

Me and my girlfriend were waiting for a bus home from Portland to Eugene after a flight from Texas. We were very tired and had some time before it came, we were both also pretty hungry at that point and the only place close by was Wilf’s. It seemed very fancy on the outside so we were a bit reluctant to go in, worried we might be told we needed a reservation or something. When we entered, the bright searing sun was immediately extinguished by the cool dark interior of the waiting room. As our eyes adjusted, we were met with a very excitable and welcoming staff which were very curious about how they could help us, we told them we had a bus to catch and we were hoping to get a quick bite beforehand. We were promptly seated in our own little throne chairs, overlooking the pleasant and classic interior. Our waiters had so much steez to every movement and thing they said and did, and were so eager to help us not just get us some good food but also make sure that we caught our bus on time. While we were waiting, we had an amazing live piano performance right in front of us which was so awesome. It was as if we stepped back in time to a long lost era. Just watching one of the waiters bring and mix a salad for one of the tables was so entertaining to watch. We really felt like we were in a movie or something! Haha. The food was very fairly priced and satisfying to say the least. And with our service, this was one of the highlights of our entire trip, and I truly couldn’t think of a better way to wrap it all up. All thanks to the staff at Wilf’s! I’ll never forget what our greeter told us as we left. He looked at us and said, “Don’t ever be intimidated, you two can eat wherever you want!”

The food was delicious and it has a fun ambiance. For the price, updating their old red chairs would be nice. I love the look, but you can tell they've seen much better days. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and would go again!

Classy restaurant, nice decorum. Very reminiscent of Paris, France. 4 stars due to the darkness, in the daytime inside...Food was delicious! I had the Cubano roll and my husband had the salmon pasta, which he said was the best!!... Great proximity to downtown Portland, Dollar rent a car and the train station! Would definitely go back when in town.

I've been wanting to come here for years, but my train schedule never allowed me. Luckily for me, my train was delayed and I had the opportunity to plunk myself down at the bar for a mid-fall glass of pink wine and some deliciously warm bread to nosh on. If you stay long enough into the evening, there's beautiful live music and I swear it's like you're transported to a time where cell phones didn't exist and you could meet beautiful strangers on the train.

Norman Sylvester band was awesome, and the crab bisque was delicious. We also had the steak appetizer. We will be back. I am looking forward to trying more of their menu items!

I'm giving five stars because my wife and I really enjoyed our experience there. That being said I felt the prices for food were a tad high for the quality. Don't get me wrong the food was really good. There is also a cover charge for the music, I don't mind paying and supporting the musicians but again I thought it was a little high for the quality of entertainment. They also are checking vaccine cards and ID say the door, I totally agree and support it. The staff were wonderful, cheerful and attentive. This sounds silly but one way I judge an establishments cleanliness is the bathroom vent, it's often an overlooked place to clean, theirs were spotless as well as the rest of restaurant. The decor is slightly outdated but all in good taste. Because of the state of Portland right now the surrounding area of the restaurant is a little sketchy, I don't judge the restaurant based on that but it's good to know while visiting. Overall it's a great place to experience and would happily go again. I recommend this place entirely.

The best French Onion soup I've had in years! I should of taken a picture but one taste and I couldn't stop 😋 Steak Diane table side was fabulous. I loved his presentation to include a history lessons on origin and spices. So cool!

At Wilf's, it's always 1958. The food is first rate, they pour an honest drink and the service is stellar. The music is excellent and honors the memory of the great music of the past.
