As a lover of deep dish, this place really hits it out of the park! I absolutely love their crust - it’s soft and buttery with the perfect amount of crispiness to it. The cheese melts in your amount and love the fact they do it per slice as well - whenever I would like to get my pizza fix.

Walked right in and was helped immediately, they make the pizza as soon as you order it, and with them being authentic deep dishes it takes a hot minute. Ordered the artichoke pesto, wonderful taste, makes the wait super worth it! Highly recommend the garlic knots! Prepare the roof of your mouth because it comes out HOT! But it tastes so good! And when you pull the pizza you get that cheese pull.

Via Chicago is true to its name. Their pies are legit Chicago style. It's more like eating lasagna than pizza. The sauce is good. Toppings are under the cheese and sauce. The crust has a croissant quality to it due to the butter. We ordered the "meaty" and a Artichoke & Parmesan with chicken. The meaty has Isemio's Hot Sausage...but it's not hot. I wouldn't order it again. Most of our group liked chicken one better. Be prepared for a wait. We also had an order of garlic knots. Our group liked them but I would have preferred garlic bread. It takes them 40+ minutes to bake one. They about a half dozen beers on tap are a variety of soft drinks. They also do pizza by the slice. Check out my profile for more great eateries and cocktail bars.

Vegan deep dish pizza! This pizza was so delicious and filling. The ricotta was super seasoned and the crust is amazing. It's so nice that they sell by the slice too. It's so hearty, a 12 inch pizza could feed at least four people. Highly recommend, we've already been back.

It's very tasty! The crust is buttery and dense and also kind of flaky. The sauce is SO good! And the cheese! So much cheese! While I've never been to Chicago to have an authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza; from what I've seen on TV and the Internet, this seems like a good recreation! I highly recommend a trip to Alberta. You'll be glad you did!

Absolute fantastic deep dish pizza and the best I have had yet. We ordered the meaty pizza and the crust was slightly flaky with a balanced buttery taste. The cheese was perfect with the right amount. The toppings were cooked perfectly and the home made marinara sauce spoke volumes to the brand. 5 star review this is officially my favorite deep dish pizza restaurant.

Had my first gluten-free and vegan deep dish pizza here and it did not disappoint! Recommend going with both vegan cheeses and it was a great price with plenty of topping options. They cook the pizzas in separate pans and the service was good (takes about 30 min to cook a build-your-own). Glad we got the bigger size to take some leftovers home.

Nice and thick Chicago style pizza, meat, and vegetarian options. Always a goto place with slices on hand ready to go. Flavorful sauce with a decent amount of toppings. Beers and fountain sodas, order to go or eat inside or on one of their 2 patios, in the front and water Alberta street, or in the back where it is quite without the hustle and bustle of the street life.

Super friendly service, amazing cheese pull, good garlic bread, and knots. We drove from an hour north specifically to eat here and it was worth it. 3 large pizzas, one small, about $15 in added toppings, 3 sodas, and a hot tea came to $138 before tip. 🤷‍♀️ You decide how it hits your wallet. We'll be back again.

We love Via Chicago ❤️ We always get a cyo with pepperoni, meatballs, mushrooms and goat cheese. We haven’t gotten pizza here in well over a year and the one we got last night was not as thick as they were previously :( We got a medium instead of a small like we usually order, so that may be the reason. Still though this is better than regular crust pizza!

We really liked it. Garlic knots were a HUGE hit. Meaty pizza was my favorite. Wasn't a super clean dining area; they seemed short staffed.

First timer and as many of the previous reviews, I can concur that they make a good pizza. Great little locale and with many pizza places to choose with high reviews you won't go wrong. Medium size cheese for 2 adults and two kids was enough to fill at 2 pieces each. Tasty well done crust and not much cheese runoff. Four stars for pie could have been a bit warmer. As a native Chicagoan, don't try to compare. Just appreciate that someone can make a good deep dish outside of the midwest. Good music, easy wait of 30m for pie and service was very friendly. Will come back again. Enjoy the pics.

Great, flavorful pizza. Never had deep dish so no frame of reference but it was delicious. I was worried that the crust would be like a dense chunk of bread, but instead it was really soft and well seasoned. Cannoli were great. Not overly sweet and nice and crunchy. Wonderful food.

Nice option for Chicago style pizza. It was busy because it was pizza week but very friendly staff and good pies.

Cool vibe. First time ever having Chicago style pizza. Liked the deep dish and thick buttery crust. I got the 4 cheese and the apple, balsamic salad. Pizza was lacking in flavor dynamics: all the cheese tasted the same and the sauce lacked punch & pizzazz. Salad was on point. I'll go back.
