I first tried their Gyro over 25 years ago and it's still as delicious as was back then.

Came here for a Timbers watch party. AWESOME experience. Food was excellent. Beer was excellent. Service was excellent, even with the place literally packed (no seats available). Atmosphere was great. Definitely a place you could bring kids. They even had a changing table in the restroom. We will definitely return.

Did takeout of a simple gyro. Tasted amazing. Very filling with generous portions. I didn't stay in the place itself for long as I took to-go, but I enjoyed the homey ambiance while it lasted. Would easily be a place I would want to spend longer at.

Casual and easy. Great food and friendly service. Omega sauce is bomb. Always have sports games on the tv which is a plus for me! And trivia on Tuesdays which is lowkey and fun

Closest thing to East coast you’ll find around here. I love this place so much.

Gyro was delish!! I got it with chicken & no onion, make sure you get the one with the fries in it! And the tzatziki is to die for!! Sport bar and deli vibe inside, not quite my vibe so I took it to go.

Pondo Gyro with fries and Greek sauce. I get a craving for Gyros from time to time and besides one other place in town, this is an equal favorite spot! Parking sucks but if you find a spot you're in for a lunchtime treat! Soccer is all over the Many huge TVs and the overall atmosphere is casual and sporty. Service was prompt and polite and the food will stuff you to the brim so take your time and enjoy it! Free water cups are a plus as you will need to wash it all down as it is very rich. The Baklava smells amazing though I've never tried it here before.

I visited Mad Greek Deli for the first time, during Portland Mercury Magazine's Burger Week 2021, and I had their Papadopolous burger (pictured). I conquered 19 burgers, that week, and it was roughly tied, as the best. The Papadopoulos featured an all-beef, char-broiled patty, a house-made Omega Sauce, grilled onions, candied bacon, feta cheese, and crispy fried pepperoncinis, on a butter bun. It was exceptional! Easily worth the Burger Week price of $6. I still would actually urge them to make it a regular menu item (presumably in the roughly $10-$12 range), though I do remember that the charbroiling was causing a bit of smokiness. It was so good, though - Fried pepperoncinis are now a new favorite burger topping of mine. Seriously. I was sufficiently impressed during Burger Week, that I visited again, to try their normal menu; I had the Gyro Plate (pictured). It was a lot of food - roughly two full Gyros, I would say. For those who are unfamiliar, gyro meat is a seasoned mixture of lamb and beef, and the white dip / sauce is tzatziki, which is yogurt mixed with cucumbers, garlic, olive oil, herbs, and sometimes vinegar or lemon juice. Between the seasoned, lightly salty gyro meat, the refreshing, cool tzatziki and tomatoes, the spicy raw onion and cayenne pepper, and the rich feta cheese, there were a lot of great, classic gyro flavors working well together. Both visits, my food was displayed beautifully, the customer service that I received was good. The Gyro Plate was reasonably priced, for the generous quantity of food. Mad Greek Deli has both indoor and outdoor seating available, and the inside is kind of half classic deli, and half sports bar. Delicious Gyros. Sauce is just a little bit different and has a great spice to it. Great value for food and price points. Great beer selection with many local brews. Good spot for watching sports with several large TVs.

Would of gave them 5 stars if it wasn't for the grumpy lady sitting behind the counter. Maybe we caught her on a bad day or she just wanted to go home. Went there for weekday lunch, ordered the Greek salad with gyro and a Foti's gyro. Salad was filling, delicious, lots of meat, olives, pepperoncini and flavor. My wife tries gyro sandwiches wherever she goes and she said this was the best she's ever had outside of Greece. We'll definitely go back, but not if grumpasaurus is there.

Mikaela is a great bartender and the regulars are super awesome. Edit: Sandy is also the dude, and the regs are hella chill. Cheapest cheap beers in town. Dang, just let that slip.

Potato wedges are top 3 in Portland for sure. The sandwich doesn’t come on the big roll anymore but it’s a lot of sandwich still.

Awesone spot to watch games on the multitudes of tvs and eat greek food. Hummus was smooth and had a lemon zest. Souvlaki was perfectly spiced.

Been going here for lunch lately. The sandwich’s are great and love the Greek fries ( Jo Jo’s ). The Omega sauce is also great. Want to try the fried chicken but I always get a sandwich. Great spot. Has more soccer scarfs hanging from the ceiling than any other place I have been.

The gyros are terrific, super flavorful and the portions are pretty generous. Definitely get the Jarritos, amazing sodas!
