Totally underrated pizza restaurant. Best Caesar salad I've ever had! Very good pizza too. We got one of the special pizzas in 12" size, it was more than enough for 2 people. The crust is very good. It is thin, with a tiny handle. Very crispy and not dough-y much at all. A hidden gem in Rose City Park neighborhood, great during pizza week. đź‘Ť
04/20/17: 4.5 out of 5 - First time trying Hogan's Goat Pizza. Came in to for the Portland Mercury Pizza Week...this is my fourth day of pizza this week, too!
This is a good neighborhood pizza place to go to, and great that it has beers and wines for consumption; either alone or with your pizza selection. Also, Hogan's Goat Pizza seems to have some very good choices if you happen to be a vegetarian.
We enjoyed their Beet Salad, Pizza Week slices, beers, and the whole pie with chicken...the Ziggy Stardust. Absolutely, an amazing pizza!
The staff provided great service to their customers and was attentive to the cleanliness. Also, best to pay with cash. Otherwise, paying with credit card, they'll have you pay 3%.
Like I always say, if you're in the area, try the place out once, and decide for yourself. It's a hidden place and could be easily missed, so keep an eye out if you're going to try the place out. Enjoy!
This place is really special. Incredible pizza!! After eating about 16 slices over pizza week this was mine and my friends favorite!! Rad space too!!
The lady tonight was so sweet! Nice, quick and clean! Next time I’ll order a vegetarian pizza! It was very good!
Delicious pizza, a bit noisy inside. Leftovers ride home in a big sheet of foil - no boxes. 18 inch is more like a 21 inch.
Phenomenal pizza! The staff is very friendly and it is a really cute place. They also have wonderful homemade desserts.
I thought the place was super local and sweet. I loved seeing how much the staff loved the customers. The pizza was yummy and super fresh and subtle. I was surprised that the pizza week special wasn't spicy.
A uniquely delicious pizza spot, Hogan’s Goat makes amazing food, fast; regardless of whether your pizza is meat or vegetables, it tastes fantastic! Don’t skip dessert here either—the baked goods are top notch as well. Check them out!
Such a cute little place, we went there for pizza week for the first time. They have really good crust. A little too strong on horseradish but overall great flavor. Also had a great selection of beer and wine and super friendly staff. They prefer cash but accept cards fine
Great pizza spot. Probably my favorite pizza in Portland. Staff is very friendly & helpful. I’ve had a veggie pie and a meat pie and both have been superb. The salads have been incredible as well. Looking forward to trying the gnocchi on Gnocchi Thursday’s.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Kale salad is excellent. I commend their effort at a gluten free crust but it falls short. I would suggest they continue to experiment with other ingredients. Otto's Pizza has a perfect one.

With a plethora of pizza shops in Portland and everyone you know recommending "the BEST pizza is _____", it's nice when one of your friends takes you off the beaten path and presents a pie that shocks your taste buds in the best way possible. And when you find something this good you HAVE to share it with everyone!
The Margherita here is AMAZING. For a simple pie, it's bursting with complexity and layers of flavor. When you take a bite this is what registers: fresh basil, sweet tomato sauce, buttery, salty, creamy mozzarella and then this pliable but cracker-like crust. It's the best Margherita I've had in the city thus far.
I've also sampled the Joe Lewis (sausage and Mama's Lil Peppers) and it's equally delicious but with a little bit more punch (no pun... screw it, PUN INTENDED).
And aside from the pizza being stellar, the folks that run this place are the most amicable and caring people I've met at a pie shop. They love what they do, they're friendly and they treat you like a fellow human and friend. They're refreshingly chill and mellow.
Finally, this place and pizza has captured my heart and stomach and has a made a dedicated patron out of this man. So do yourself a favor, avoid the hype (and wait) of other establishments and give this hidden gem your time. You won't regret it and you'll end up telling everyone you know "the BEST pizza is at Hogan's Goat".
For vegetarians, I think this is the best and most tasteful pizza shop in Portland. Everything is so thoughtfully and brilliantly put together, with combinations that feel both unique and classic, never strange or gimmicky. The Green Goat should be famous - it's delicious and also the best looking pie I've ever seen. The Umami smells incredible. And the Margherita showcases their addictively tangy tomato sauce, my favorite in Portland. Somehow they also have top notch desserts and the friendliest service anywhere. This place is an absolute gem.
The folks over here are not only very friendly and welcoming, the make great pizza! A wonderful local gem and should definitely be tried by anyone reading these reviews. Awesome people, awesome pizza!
Can I say that the best pizza in town comes from this little place - a decent jaunt from downtown? Some people love Ken's or Pizza Scholls, but per square inch of pizza, Hogan's is far and away the best. The prices are completely reasonable for what you get and the ingredients are top quality.
You can not go wrong here. And with delivery through the service they team up with you don't even have to leave the house...
Though, I will say, if you're going to use delivery, it's probably only worth it if your get 2+ pizzas, since there is a flat delivery fee and tip on top of that.
The Green Goat was delicious. We got one pizza with GF crust (for my son) and one regular crust. We could hardly notice the difference between the two crusts. The staff was super friendly too!
Found this place last night on Slice, the pizza is phenomenol, Ladara(sp) is amazing, not only was her customer service perfect She knew how to recommend wine and beer as well as pairings with the pizzas. Make sure you get the Canoli
