Healthy and good-tasting. Don't take my word for it- my 2nd grader and kindergartner both gave it the thumbs up. And my 2nd grader who has celiac felt great after. Update: we've been back several times and still no problems with celiac reaction so this seems great for gluten free folks too.

Amazing!. Definitely a great introduction to Portland cuisine. This was the first place we went and I have to say, it was delicious! I enjoyed that it was completely vegetarian and it's hard to stop yourself from devouring the entire bowl!

GREAT Food. I can't speak highly enough of Whole Bowl. I first had them from a cart in the Pearl about 6 years ago. I no longer work out there, but have driven long distances to eat there in the years since. The Big Bowl they serve is healthy, filling and delicious. Best with a hearty helping of Cholula sauce, which they provide.

I have been a Whole Bowl fan for over 20years now. It is a staple meal in our household, and we are at one of their many locations at a minimum of once per week. We love how simple and healthy the fare is. Tali sauce for the win!! 5 stars overall, for the longevity this meal has enjoyed being a routine go-to for us for over two decades. 4 stars in service -- because some bowlistas are honestly better than others, and 4 stars in Atmosphere because they no longer have any locations that offer seating -- but that matters not to locals who will gladly stand in line and then take our bowls to go! Keep on keeping on! We love the Whole Bowl!!

I LOVE the Whole Bowl and always try to make a stop whenever I visit Portland. Post-pandemic, the cost has increased by $2 but love supporting a sustainable local business that encourages vegetarian and vegan eating! Plus, they have the BEST coconut water and an impressive hot sauce selection. The service is FAST! However, do not expect have anywhere to sit. It's a window and there is no seating. Pro tip: bring napkins and cuttlery for the car! Additionally, it is only street parking. We lucked out today with a spot nearby with a compost to toss or trash in!

Perfect place, food is affordable, clean and fast. Simple and exactly what I want most days. I don’t live in Portland and often think to myself, “I wish I could have wholebowl for lunch right now”

Take-out window that makes one thing: a burrito bowl. They have plenty of hot sauces to add as well. Exceptionally kind service getting my order started as I ran back to the car to get my wallet! Standard way to make it vegan: sub extra avocado for sour cream and cheese 😋 HIGHLY recommend the Snickerdoodle cookie (vegan!)

I’ve been going here for years now. This bowl is packed with such healthy and yummy ingredients. I will always recommend Whole Bowl as a perfect lunch spot. I miss the indoor seating from before Covid but other than that their staff and food can’t be beat!

Such a yummy spot for a quick lunch! Inexpensive, healthy and filling. Cute new location across the street and one block up Hawthorne from their last spot!

I was a hater. I didn’t understand how they could be in business selling one brown rice and beans bowl. But then I tried it. I got addicted, and would watch the line of people out my window everyday and wait for a lull to get mine. Now I live in LA and last night I was lying awake and Whole Bowl pops into my mind. Now I have to have that tomorrow. Which means I have to make it myself. It was alright but not quite the same. Enjoy it while you have it local. I will definitely be making a stop when I go back to visit inlaws. P.S. please bottle and sell the sauce

So simple and perfect! We miss this place so much and now that my wife is pregnant we find ourselves driving from Corvallis to Portland just to get one. The idea is wonderful because it shows the owner cares!

Simple, healthy, affordable food. Coming from Louisiana last year, this kind of place didn't even exist back there. Jeremy was my bowlista and had such an awesome personality + made great convo. Will be back many times.
