The rice noodle add egg is my favorite dish that I’ve had so far. Excited to come back with a bigger group and try the chef recommended dishes
Ordered the sweet and sour pork, made into a combination. The hot and spicy soup was delicious. The BBQ pork is moist and delicious as well.
Ate here yesterday. It was good. I tried so many different things. It was different for sure. I was sad I also got an allergic reaction from something so I could keep trying everything. A good place to try out for sure.
One of the best Chinese restaurant in Portland Oregon!
As first generation of Hong Kong 🇭🇰 immigrants and moving here from NYC, I know my Cantonese food and in need to find a good restaurant in Portland. Tried many different places and this restaurant is a winner 🏅 🏆 🥇 . You cannot go wrong with this restaurant! :) you can go to Portland nursery afterwards for an after meal walk.
Pure Spice Chinese restaurant is one of those hole-in-the-wall places where you can find true authentic Chinese food at its finest. In addition to their large dim sum menu they have a daily lunch specials that allows you to order a single entree with rice, egg roll and soup.
Growing up, my Filipino family always loved dim sum. This place did not disappoint and everything from the chicken feet to the shumai was cooked beautifully.
We possibly order too much for only two people every time we go but I regret nothing. Shrimp and leek dim sum, scallop dim sum. Egg buns. Soup dumplings. Sticky fried rice, fried rice noodles. Chili oil wontons. Each time we go we try something new and haven't yet been disappointed in anything!!
Went for dim sum. Great flavor. They had a great variety. Only items missed were baked boa, garlic chicken, and shin roll. But the rice in the lotus leaf was terrific and the shu mais were large and flavorful.
Dim sum is good and available at all hours. But after 3:30 the price goes up for the same dishes. Menu is solid. Relatively cheap too.
Incredible dim sum. Their soup dumplings are exceptional, better than Din Tai Fung and way better priced (though no one is cheap these days, these guys are better than most.) Super nice waitstaff too.
It is not a fancy restaurant but we enjoyed very good service from friendly staff. We went there twice while in town for a wedding. The food for lunch and dinner was very good. Large portions. Can’t speak to pricing for dinner as we didn’t pay but lunch was very good
Best, cheapest dim sum/chinese place ive been to in portland. Atmosphere is a little crowded and hectic, but the food is always fantastic, and most importantly, cheap! Lunch menu servings are always huge portions, meant to share amongst people. Staff is kind! And, i can tell they deserve your patronage as everyone there works very hard.
I love going here for dim sum when you want it fresh and don't want to deal with the carts and slightly pushy servers. Your dimsum is made when you order it so it takes a while but it is delicious and hot. I love the pumpkin pancakes, radish cakes and their dumplings are delicious as well. They have a large non dim sum menu and BBQ for takeout as well. Pure spice it definitely worth your checking out . You won't be disappointed.
Holy cow, this place is great. Excelent food, fantastic service, construction worker portion sizes. Fill this place up and your bellies at the same time. Try the pork belly... I dont know if I've ever had better!!!
A nice little restaurant that serves up really good dim sum and other unique dishes. There aren't too many dim sum restaurants around that do dim sum well, but Pure Spice has some very good dishes.
Wonderful service and even better food!! The roast trio is such a great deal.
