Tight whiskey lineup and I gotta give them major major credit for saving the Sloan's bus. RIP Sloan's, gone but not forgotten.
Got charged $10 for well whiskey and coke my first visit, $6.50 the next. Looks like it was $7 tonight. Just a little inconsistent on the pricing.
The bar staff is as fast as I could expect and everyone seemed to be having a good time. It's got that elevated dive feel that the bar collective who owns this place is known for.
Re-Opened Portland landmark hasn't changed much. Excellent service, food, and drinks with the familiar bar and decor that defined this institution.

This place is legendary and consistently awesome. Was there for brunch and they could def use extra staff. Table service would be a huge plus. So many great times here though, so hard not to give it a full 5 stars.
Love this place! Love what the new owners have done to it! Love the back patio. Really cool how it has the Sloan's semi truck in the back from the old Sloan's restaurant in North Portland. Love the decor in here! Great food, drinks & service!!!
I am so happy Holmans is back. However, the order at the bar part isn't great. Food is a little underwhelming. Cocktails are the highlight. The back patio has gotten spruced up a bit, which is nice.
It's the neighborhoods best dive bar!!
This was a total surprise, I figured there would be decent food, but it was absolutely amazing food! Some of the best home fries I've ever had and their burgers and Monte Cristos were straight fire. Love DJ was spinning records and played an awesome and eclectic playlist. Bonus points for the DJ's table cover featuring the art of Baphomet from Dogme et ritual de la haute magie.
Good selection of beer and whiskey. I didn't have any food while there.
Kinda weird that every time I tried to use the mems restroom, there was a line 3 or 4 deep.

Beautiful space, Moody lighting & perfect patio for good pups. A must visit if you are local or outtaaaa town. Service was the sweetest. 10/10
Holman's is one of the old school ptld bars! It has undergone some recent updates, but the old vibe is still there. We stopped in for a nightcap w/ friends & enjoyed the ambience.🥰
Awesome dive bar. The food was good. Service gets 4 stars because you have to go to the bar to order everything. No table service here. Everyone was friendly and helpful and awesome!
Sadly did not eat here however the bar and staff are amazing
This looks like a bar that's been around a while, which it has. The interior is dimly lit and dark, but not uncomfortable or stuffy. There was the typical smell of stale beer that most bars get and there were divets in our table. If you don't mind a place showing its age a bit, you should enjoy the atmosphere.
There's a wheel you can spin to try and win a meal!
The peanut butter burger was interesting and I'd recommend trying it for anyone who is considering it. I didn't end up finishing mine off because it was a bit too much of the same after a while, but I think that's a personal thing and I know several people who would love this burger. All of the burgers looked well-made and I did end up enviously eyeing some corn dogs I saw being picked up.
They helped rebirth a badass pub. of you are in the area I would say this spot is worth experiencing. The new staff helps make this place shine! Welcome back Holmans!
Great bar, great service. The Bloody Mary self-serve bar on Sunday is decent. The breakfast options are really good & super cheap (the Morning Mess was crazy huge & tasty). Returned in the evening & had the most amazing gorgonzola fries, & delightful mac & cheese bites (see photos). Only downside was that the Jameson/Irish cream coffee we ordered (no price on table menu) was a lot more $ than we expected: two each came to $30.
