Wow! The drip coffee was smooth, full depth of flavor, and no bitter after taste. My friend said the espresso was excellent as well. Food options were limited but the bagel and herb cheese schmear was delicious! Generous portion of cream cheese, bagel toasted, and soft with a lovely crunch. No outdoor seating, there were a few tables inside, but certainly a place to go for a quality cup of coffee.

Excellent coffee experience, found the coffees less acid with a nice dark complex taste. Wide selection of coffees to choose from. Driving south across the bridge on a foggy rainy day is an excellent side benefit of visiting this coffee shop

Great local option for tasty coffee and a bag of beans. They've scaled down their operation since the pandemic but we're never disappointed.

This was a warm, comfortable neighborhood cafe with plenty of tables to sit around and is dog friendly to friendly dogs. The coffee is still excellent with at least one new variety every day. This company is under new management and they were playing edgy music, heavy metal and punk music. But the new management has now started playing more cafe friendly music such as soft jazz. The music atmosphere has improved while you are enjoying your coffee.

Love the actual coffee and food. Never would take away from a local business for that. The customer service is severely lacking since covid. The woman on weekends has consistently been rude. We have thoroughly enjoyed the people behind the counter when we have gone in before covid so we know there are lovely individuals employed there. But this one woman has been rude without fail every time we have ordered. It really limits our desire to be much more regular patrons. But as I said, definitely get a bagel sandwich when they are back and take in the beautiful mural/local products they tend to stock on their shelves. They are dog friendly and truly a delightful way to kill time.

The coffee is amazing. There was confusion around my coffee subscription purchase. The coffee is amazing and I was so excited to get a three-month subscription for my friend for Christmas. When I placed the order my online account said the coffee would not be ready until February 28th. Additionally, I thought I was prepaying for 3 months of coffee beans, one bag every 4 weeks for 3 months, this is how it was worded on the website as a 'gift'. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I reached out to the owner to see if this could be done and was met with a very resounding no. She said the coffee was ready for pickup and had been ready since January. I'm not sure how well the beans will hold up but hopefully, the three months of beans that my boyfriend is getting that are now three weeks old will be great for months to come. The owner responded to me to let me know she purchased St. Johns Coffee a little over a year ago and the subscription service/website were inherited. She explained that it might need some additional details and steps on her end and she'd look into it. I greatly appreciate her willingness to review the website and get to the bottom of my frustrations. I would say it seems like things are incredibly busy and hectic over at St. John's Coffee and it might take the owner some time to respond, but be patient she will respond and she will try to make it right. If you're in the Portland area I'd recommend hopping over to do a hike, check out St. John's bridge and then check out St. John's for an incredible cup of coffee and buy a bag of beans. Their coffee tastes great for weeks.

I love this coffee shop. I am so thankful that there are still small businesses out there doing what they can to protect their staff and honor the pandemic we're facing. The have been changes as the shop changed hands but I think they have only improved the shop as they were learning what works and what doesn't. The coffee has only gotten better too!! And shame on Carl for giving another small business a one star for being unable to pay a bill during the heat of the pandemic. Bad form sir.

No question the best coffee shop in St. Johns. The staff are welcoming and kind, the sheer variety of coffees is magnificent and they even make my dog feel comfortable, with space and water bowls on the floor for four-legged friends. If you get a cup of regular drip coffee and stay in house the first refill is free, which easily gets me paying for a second cup, since they brew fresh pots constantly. I've been to all the coffee shops in this neighborhood and never been treated better. The pastries are actually fresh (not frozen and thawed) and when they sell you a "$1 day old" it is ACTUALLY only one day old. Their focus on sustainability goes above-and-beyond, with a huge variety of organic and fair trade blends. This morning they even opened several minutes early because they saw me waiting in my car: now THAT's service. Food is limited (read: not a place for a meal) but they're so good at what they do that you'll be glad they focus on quality, instead of variety. You will encounter no better product or service in Portland. They get my vote, hands down.

Great coffee, small but good selection of tea, and delicious bagels. Roasted pepper cream cheese is a great addition to the bagels. There are also some other pastries and a few prepared food items but this is a more coffee-focused place than anything else. Calm, not overcrowded shop good for meeting friends, hanging with a partner or going by yourself to relax or work.

Finally we have a great local coffee shop in St. Johns who roasts their own coffee! If you are so lucky you will walk into the store where you will be greeted by Mount who is the owner and one of the most genuine men you will ever meet. The coffee is amazing and you can pick any specialty blend listed on the wall and they will do a pour-over cup of coffee right in front of you. Best cup of coffee I have ever had!

My hubbie and I have been going here for two years and we agree that it's some of the best coffee you'll find in Portland. This is our weekend morning date spot. However, before the recent staff change, no one would remember who we were. Then a few months ago, there was a staff change and the baristas are now so incredibly lovely. They remember me, my husband, my usual order and are just all around extremely nice. We love going here! The owner is great too!

My favorite coffee, smooth and yummy. Oh yeah, the bagels and home flavored cream cheeses are also great. They have two bars where you can stand / sit in stools. They open early but close at 4pm.

If you're a true coffee consumer you know the difference in taste, texture, flavor and smell. I have to say hands down, Mount you have the best coffee in St. Johns. I love the flavor in your different types of coffee, very dynamic and smooth. I hope to see you soon for my Mocha. Carrie

LOVE this coffee roasting company! (We hardly have any freshly roasted coffee choices in Seattle, right? -HA!) St. John's knows how to choose their coffee beans and roast them well. They are artisans. Their coffee is never burned, has great aroma, and a smooth finish. -Even their darker roasts. I usually purchase a medium roasted coffee, but stumbled upon St. John's Italian blend and it's one of my favorites. I'm stoked that they are opening a coffee shop in Portland and plan to swing by when we visit grandma. Check them out, y'all!

Best place in St. John's for coffee, good drinks, good bagels and donuts, and the barista is amazing and friendly. Plus their prices are the lowest I've seen in the area 10/10 recommend, go there if you can.
