Had some oysters at Flying Fish and then wandered this fun shop. A mix of a grocery store with many imported candies and goods. We tried the moon grapes, they were amazing! Very crisp and strong grape flavor.

Fabulous find. Wide selection of cheeses, meats (great variety of Salami, Guanciale, Sausages, Duck, Pancetta, Prosciutto, etc.), fresh homemade pasta, gourmet ingredients, fresh pasta sauces, wines, and beautiful produce. Parking can be a challenge.

Lovely goodies, fabulous stock, very friendly staff. Bought focaccia at the bakery, and stopped at the car curbside to give my husband and me a piece, nice lady came running out to give us napkins! Check out person was chatty and friendly. I'll definitely go back!

I'm a black guy who loves great food, but any time I walk into a grocery fancier than the Food-4-Less, I get stared at. The only two times I've been at Pastaworks, the butcher and cheese counter workers were cordial and helpful. I'm planning on going back, not only grab some more delicious boar bacon, but also to see if the spell will hold. On the whole, a very refreshing experience.

I spent so much time just wandering around this store with my husband. Lots of interesting items to stare at and I successfully found fresh truffles, which is what brought me here in the first place. Basically a foodie paradise. So many expensive chocolates to aspire to try!

First time I've ever been told deviled eggs were the menu specialty. They were certainly the best I've ever eaten. All of the sandwiches we had were excellent. Beware the hot spicy mustard on the croque madame. My nose is still angry.

A comment: pertaining to but not unique to this place - is anyone else surprised and annoyed at the plethora of merchants expecting a tip for simply ringing up merchandise? Interesting place with a European feel & many fine imported products. A bit pricey, but fun!

Great selection of gourmet hard to find ingredients for my paella, Spanish chorizo, bomba rice, saffron, and amazing chicken stock. It turned out great got lots of compliments, but it also cost me like $50

Gourmet sandwiches, salads and wine in a cute little cafe space on Hawthorne. We had a salad and delectable couple of sandwiches - the Dansk, of cured salmon, horseradish, boiled egg, dill, mayo, open faced on rye and the Prosciutto with olive oil butter on a baguette. As you would expect being part of Pastaworks, it was a gourmet experience. It's all made expertly in front if which is fun. Grab and go sandwiches too if you're in a hurry.

Expensive for groceries, but that fresh pasta can't be beat unless you make it yourself. Also the cheese counter is great, and not a bad value. Good source for exotic ingredients, like spices and international packaged foods.

One of my favorite eating experiences in Portland-- a very informal atmosphere at an unassuming-looking-counter attached to a grocery store, but every dish is focused on bringing out the flavor of a handful of high-quality ingredients. For example, a plate of oven-roasted rapini (leaves crispy, but still juice and flavor in the stems) with diced egg, meyer lemon, and a few anchovies.

Possibly the best market in town since City Market Closed! I love Pasta works. Their cheese selection and Charcutery selection is unparalleled.

Very nice specialty store. Extremely expensive for what you get. I am from Milwaukee Wisconsin and the exact same brand and type of meats I could buy on average at two thirds less of the price that it is here.

The chicken dish is amazing. Italian sandwiches are very good. But it seems like some imported products are a bit over priced.
