Got the chickpea and sweet potato hand pie 🤌🏻 so delicious! Flaky dough, flavorful without being over spiced. Perfect lunch snack! Can't say how much I appreciate that they offer *multiple* savory options. Friendly staff! Appears to be predominantly a production site with counter service, which is fine by me! Great community "hidden gem". Excellent selection of grab and go freshly made pastries - my favorite so far being the Apple Hand Pie and the Vegan Coffee Cake. Their chocolate chip cookies are also incredible. The business has great signage out front regarding loud noises indoors, their hours of operation and some awesome social flair. Staff is always kind and helpful. Definitely a great place to stop in to grab a quick treat or to place an order for an event.
I knew when I opened the door and smelled that lovely sugared aroma that this shop would not disappoint. I purchased macarons and a slice of the vanilla almond raspberry cake (a very generous portion, btw). I shared with the young woman servicing me that I was visiting from NC. I didn’t realize until later that she added some extra macarons for me! So kind, thank you! The desserts were wonderful and I especially enjoyed the vanilla and blackberry rosemary macaron. Thank you for a memorable experience!

We absolutely love this local business. The macaroons are delicious and they do an amazing job with wedding cakes. We had our wedding cake put together as a macaroon tower and a small wedding cake at the top. Farina did an awesome job and our wedding cake was everything we envisioned. She’s detail oriented and has the ability to understand what the customer is trying to create. Also, Farina is always up for a challenge and willing to get creative. I’d highly recommend this business for enjoying a nice snack, wedding cake needs or similar requests. In addition to this location, one might find some of her macaroons at other local businesses so keep an eye out if you are looking to try some.

It all started with our routine Saturday morning walk with the dogs. After a long leisurely stroll with the dogs, we landed at Nossa Familia Coffee in the Pearl. As we ordered our coffee, the pastry case caught our attention.
Each shelf was packed with delightfully looking savory sensations - so, we inquired. When the barista arrived at the 3rd shelf and declared "Savory Sweet Potato and Chickpea Hand Pie," I raised my hand (for no reason) After an awkward pause, I said, "We'll take 2, please, heated."
The weather was turning toward fall, but the warm sunshine and inviting patio seemed the perfect place to sit and enjoy each other's company and taste this flaky triangular decadence.
Weeks passed. With each visit to Nossa we'd order a Farina hand pie, ask were they were from, then eat ourselves into forgetting. Finally, a month later, on a quiet Saturday morning I had the notion (duh) to ask (again) then Google - Farina Bakery 🧐. This quickly led to an excursion on my Uber Eats app to (lo-and-behold 🤯) determine how often I could have Savory Sweet Potato & Chickpea hand pies delivered - like at my husband's place of work, (see photo) just because we want them!

I don’t get to come here often due to the drive and location but always feel like a kid in a pastry store when I do. I originally found Farina when moving to Portland and looking for Macaroons. While their Macaroons are heavenly (and keep me coming back for more despite the 30-45 minute drive) - they have a great assortment of other pastries and goodies too!
Price wise they are a little spendier but I’m okay paying it to not only support the good work that the employees of the bakery (and in some cases their artistry of what they make like wedding cakes) but also the taste/quality. Taste is huge!
They do have in location shopping available as well as work with companies like door dash and grub hub if you want to have your driver pick something up.
Due to the nature of this business their mornings are typically the busiest and sometimes run out of key items before 11-12noon. So if you have your heart set on something order ahead or go in early.
I also love that they change their seasonal macaroon offerings and keep that section lively.

Highly recommend! Cake by the slice is absolutely amazing. The strawberry cake was super light and delicious. Macarons were to die for… 100% get the animal cookie (recommended by the baker) and the chocolate cookies are amazing!
I have been to Paris. This macaroon from Farina was quite literally the greatest macaroon I've ever tasted. Enough said. Stop reading this review, and go there immediately and buy one. Everyone needs to try this bakery at least once.
I want to use the word “enchanting” to describe this place. I had such a wonderful experience there that I can’t come up with any other adjectives. The customer service was second to none. I called about a slice of cake and the person I spoke with was kind enough to set it aside for me. All day I looked forward to that cake slice. And once I got it, it was clear the anticipation was not in vain. The vegan chai spice carrot cake may have been my favorite slice of cake if all time. The sweetness of which was only surpassed by the staff member who allowed me to enjoy it. I’ll be back. Best bakery ever.

My 10 year old has been obsessed with macarons. And they were definitely the best. It was so worth the drive. We bought all of the flavors and honestly and none of them disappointed us. We’ll be back
I've not been to the bakery itself, but frequent a coffee shop that sells their vegan chocolate chip cookies. I am not vegan, but crave the cookie. I've pretty much pavloved myself, anytime I go to a coffee shop I want the cookie and am not impressed by others.
This cookie reigns supreme.
Macarons are 10/10 the best I have had in Portland!
I really wish I had taken a picture because they look as divine as they taste however my wife and I were too eager to dig in. Definitely will be back!

A cute and cozy bakery. The specialty here are the French macarons. They come in a large assortment of flavors and are perfectly firm yet soft and chewy. Come for the macarons but also check out the other pastries as they are delightful as well.

From the cake tasting to eating leftovers from the fridge, my experience with Farina was fantastic. Some of the best tasting cake I've ever had and it was so simply gorgeous and a huge hit at our wedding. At no point did I feel like they were trying to up-sell me, in fact, they did the opposite and encouraged us to go towards a style that was half the price! Delicious flavors that we got to customize included pink champagne cake with strawberry jam, chocolate cake with marionberry jam, and lemon cake with raspberry jam and cream. On top of that, the owner is so sweet, personable and our meeting with her was the best out of all the cake tastings we did. They made a life customer out of us!
Delicious. The animal cookie macaron is a favorite for a great reason, but the pineapple tajin is no slouch. The crust on the ganache brownie made it moaning good.

Farina Bakery made us the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake. Our photographer recommended this bakery because they have the best macaroons. And WOW!!!!! That was so true. My husband and I came from California to have an intimate forest wedding. We ordered a small cake -chocolate cake with chocolate & raspberry buttercream. We asked to have it decorated with macaroons and our own flowers to match my bouquet. The cake decorator did a stunning job. It was the best cake ever between the flavor, design and decor.
We made sure to pick up a gift box of macaroons for our photographer as an extra thank you for the recommendation. She did a happy dance and squealed with excitement. They are really that BEST!!!!
