Excellent pizza and garlic knots! Pizza is great; we got a personal build pie with red sauce, Italian sausage, spinach, carmalized onion, and balsamic. Crust was crisp, but not too crunchy, sauce was rich, but not too sweet. Sausage was real, and not something you buy from a tube at the grocery store. Tasty and well prepared. Garlic knots are some of the best we've had, but also clocked in at a lower price than most. $5 for half-dozen, they are some of the best value for a pizza shop. Would love to come again!

I came here with a friend who is a regular at this place, and we received the most excellent service. They have a lot of special pizza recipes from which to choose, but even more impressive is the options they have ready-made at a low price. They change up the lunch menu with a couple of different specials, and I absolutely loved what they had when I visited. I would definitely come back for more, it's such a good price and tastes fantastic! Awesome people here too, you can tell they love what they do!

04/19/17: 4.5 out of 5 - First time trying Bella Pizza. Came in for the Portland Mercury Pizza Week. This is a good neighborhood pizza/bar place to go to. It's not too big so it can get a bit loud to have a conversation. Regardless, you go there for the pizza, right? Pizza by the slices here are good sizes, and tasty. The pizza crust, in my humble opinion, is actually very good. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. There's good beers to go with the pizza selection. Also, there are good choices if you happen to be a vegetarian. The staff are attentive and provides fast service. Like I always say, if you're in the area, try the place once, and decide for yourself. I will be coming back to try some of the other options. Enjoy!

A good place to grab a quick slice of pizza or a whole pie. I tried a more unique slice they had this time- a mustard base pizza, it was actually pretty good. The staff here was nice and helpful.

Best Pizza Pie in the NE, we eat here all the time, from whole pizza to slices. It was used to be Bella Facia, now called Bella Pizza. Lots of good vegetarian, meat, and gluten-free options. Calzones, salads, and garlic knots are also options. Show up for trivia night and get a beer or glass of wine or a drink. Lots of choices, get you growler if need be.

Bella was, for me, the right place at the right time. We were on our way to a show at the Alberta Rose Theater in the next block, and were looking for something that would be quick enough to get to the show with enough lead time to snag good seats. Bella delivered - we split their large green salad and a calzone. The salad was great, with greens that were a substantial step up from iceberg, plenty of dressing, and a nice mix of onions and chickpeas (we asked them to hold the peppers). It was the calzone, however, that I found to be the standout. A lot of places, if they have calzones at all, tend to have them premade, usually with at least one ingredient that I don't like. Bella, however, makes them to order, with your choice of three toppings. Yay! Our choice of pork sausage, mushroom, and caramelized onion (thank you to the lady at the counter that offered onion options when we ordered) came with the perfect amount of melty cheese to make me happy. It sometimes seems that only me and Ben, from Parks and Rec, are fans of the calzone. But, if you're part of the tribe as well, I highly recommend a visit to Bella.

Bella has decent pizza in a great atmosphere! Of all the restaurants in the Alberta Arts district, this is one of the most stable and longest lived, and the quality has never wavered. We live down the street and often come in just to grab a big salad to go with dinner at home.

Bella Pizza is great. Their pizza is absolutely delicious; the best I've had in a long while. The employees are extremely friendly and keep the place real. Their atmosphere fits their establishment so well: a small local pizza place that puts heart into their work. When bored, there's a TV that sometimes plays television. In short. If I'm feeling down, I can count for the quality food and customer service to lift my spirits.

Driving down Alberta and being hungry I stumbled across Bella Pizza and decided to stop in for lunch. I had the lunch special, slice of pizza and a side salad and both were very good. I will be back.

I was almost burnt out on pizza week slices when I decided to push through and hit one more spot on the list: Bella Pizza. To say it was good would be an understatement. It was by far the best slice of the night. The crust was flawlessly cooked and the texture was perfect. The cheese and toppings were lovingly loaded onto the pie to offer perfect ratios of everything in every bite, and the choice of toppings was outstanding. Add to that the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was very chill, and you'll find Bella is a perfect spot to get a slice, have a beer, and hang out with good company.

Amazing pizza with a doughy crust but crispy base and tasty toppings including great vegan options. Love that you can buy by the slice. Don’t go without trying the garlic knots! Lovely staff and a very relaxed atmosphere. Great for a quick casual bite or takeaway.

I've been going here for almost 20 years. Some of the best pizza in Portland. Old School NY style.

I first tried Bella almost 2 decades ago when I first moved to Portland. It was great then, and continues to be great today. These are thin, New York style slices. What sets it apart are the fresh, high quality ingredients and options for everyone. I'm not vegan/vegetarian, but those slices are great and Bella makes the effort to have creative, tasty combos of ingredients so you can't really go wrong if you try something new. Staff is cool and friendly, good music, Parm and pepper flakes at the tables. No complaints!

Get ready for a waft of fresh pizza smells as soon as you walk through the door. They’ve got generously sized slices, but they are a bit on the dryer side. Vegan options too. The piped in tunes are pretty groovy and the staff seem to enjoy dancing along.
