Love this place! Everything is done right - the food, the BREAD, the waffle, and the atmosphere is exactly what you want in a solid neighborhood bakery. Although, I doubt this will stay just a neighborhood place long. I had the avocado toast and the bread, egg, and seasoning were perfect. We shared the “sweet waffle” and it was gorgeous and delicious to eat! Will certainly be coming back!

The vintage decor here is so pleasant...you just want to choose a table and stay for awhile! The pastries are delectable and the avocado toast was just right...there was only one lady filling orders but she was helpful and very sweet. The handmade local cards and gifts are irresistible.

A very pleasant surprise and off the beaten path. The cafe itself is adorable, full of plants, and gives off that sort of "grandma's house" vibe. The bread is absolutely delicious. The meet and cheese board had three kinds of bread, all interesting, delicious, and fresh. I had the savory waffle which was topped with brie and bacon. The waffle itself was dense and slightly sour (in a good way) and very filling. Will be going back here again.

Adorable cafe with a comforting grandma's house vibe. All of the food is delicious, and I have no idea why brie on waffles isnt standard, just brilliant! The mimosas and pastries are top notch as well and this remains my favorite brunch spot in Portland. Well worth the drive from downtown.

We we're so pleased when Heim opened up. The surrounding neighborhoods are definitely in need of more places like this. I've been here several times now and overall I've been please. I do think it is a bit on the high end as far as price goes but you're getting good quality, tasty food. Today I bought a couple baked goods and a cookie for my dog. I spent about $12 (not including tip, and the dog cookie was $.50).

Yum! This place is so good! The savory pastries are the best I’ve ever had and the sweet ones are just as good. I highly recommend getting a pre-order box from their website. Make sure you order early in the week cause this place sells out fast! There’s a rotating selection that literally never disappoints. I’m grateful to get such high quality food even during COVID. Preorder, easy pick up and enjoy the best tasting pastries you’ve ever had!

I had the Savory Waffle, which had brie, bacon, and a fried egg with dressed greens on the side. Overall everything tasted really good and I liked that it was real maple syrup. I just found it a little lacking for the price and was annoyed about my waffle soaking up all the dressing.

So far I have only tried one pastry! I got the raspberry pudding bread muffin.. so good! The drip coffee is good! It feels so European with the bread loafs on display, quality baked goods, and outdoor seating

This is exactly what this neighborhood needed. Fantastic baked breakfast treats. The nicest people. Get in early to avoid the crowds!

I love this place. My girlfriend and I drive 20 minutes to come here because Heim offers such an excellent experience. The baked goods, incredible on their own, are just a piece of what makes Heim so incredible. From the thoughtful flower arrangements on each table, to the verdent and plentiful house plants, Heim has a very cozy home feel. The careful consideration that goes into each baked bread is the same consideration that Jenn (the owner and head baker) used to craft her Bakery. Amazing!

Friendly staff. Crisp casual vibe. The grilled cheese was DELICIOUS! Gouda, avocado, and... magic? The salad was fresh, but nothing more than lettuce and balsamic. The price was too high for such a small portion. At lunch time, they were busy, but quick and not crowded. Nice new neighborhood spot. I'll be back to try the pastries.

Met here for a business meeting and think I will likely return with someone I know. I love the vibe, but it was also quiet and felt more intimate, so having a more professional conversation felt a little awkward. I’ll definitely be back for a more comfortable visit. Staff is friendly and warm and I really enjoyed my bread pudding. Visit this place to catch up with a friend!

I've been here twice now and it's been outstanding each time. I'm not a huge pastry fan these days - kind of aged out of wanting pure sugar in my face - but I've always been a fan of rich pastries with a complex spice and/or cocoa situation, and Heim is absolutely killing it in that department. The hardest part of the visits by far have been deciding what to get, so clearly I need to go there more often.

Heim is a place to feel welcome, like stopping by a friends house to have a cinnamon roll or yummy coffee cake and a foamy latte. This place has had a few lives but Heim is defiantly the best to date. Our neighborhood was abuzz with the opening of this sweet little hang out. Bring your reading glasses, a good book and relax. They will supply the good vibes and sweet treats.

Such a cute little cafe located in the heart of the Roseway neighborhood! The decor is just what you'd expect from the name --homey! I sat on one of their comfy sofas and enjoyed the hot breakfast goodness with a hot cup of joe and a side of the tomato relish. Everything from the seasonal veggies to the crispy potatoes was divine, but the tomato relish and the bread really stole the show! I opted for the sourdough, which was thick, dense, slightly sour and delightfully chewy. This cafe is great for a quick bite, but also a welcoming spot to catch up with friends or get some reading done. I definitely be back soon!

Love the atmosphere, music, and decor. I was able to sit and enjoy a delicious pastry and some tea at my own pace without feeling rushed or in the way. Definitely recommend for a lazy Saturday brunch.
