Great service, delicious lamb, and a falafel gyro all hit the spot for a foggy lunch downtown. I will definitely be going back.
This was my sons first experience in Portland. We were looking for the best gyros and we found it! The owner was such a kind man. One of the kindest man I have ever met. The food was made from love you could taste the incredible flavors in every bite! The experience we will never forget. We are new to Oregon and can’t wait to go back to get another gyro! In a crazy world we are living in it’s nice to see such a genuine kind person still exist!

The food is phenomenal, but the true highlight is the people. Family run businesses are rare to come by in Portland. They deliver quality service for an affordable price. Only drawback is location. However you’re looking for food downtown I assume you are familiar. Definitely worth checking out!
The quality of the food is incredible. My first bite brought me to a very happy place in my mind and mouth, however, the workers here show you a level of unity and love so deep in the heart and soul, you taste it in the food. I've never had a more beautiful experience eating out. 11/10
Our favorite thing about NYC was getting gyros from the food carts. This place has the very same quality of gyros, and the owner is super nice. More affordable than most other nearby food options too. Highly recommended!

The owners are so kind. Every time I show up I'm recognized and greeted like an old friend. It's almost impossible for me to go anywhere else and betray the friendliness and deliciousness El Masry serves up.
So happy to have tried El Masry! Best Egyptian food in Portland! We had lamb gyros and they were delicious- soft pita bread, a generous portion of well seasoned meat, tasty tzatziki sauce with fresh vegetables. They even have great homemade hot sauce if you like to spice it up a bit!
The owner Gharib is the nicest guy and was very sweet to my 3 year old daughter who loves Egypt. She can be a bit picky at times but enjoyed the lamb and rice he made for her along with some nicely cooked french fries.
You feel like you are amongst family there and we enjoyed chatting with Gharib, hearing about his wife and children and enjoying great food. Would definitely recommend!
For a food truck, this is pretty great. Has a gated seating area and lots of lighting. A little bit of art even. Food was def solid as well. I'd come back here.
Opinions apparently differ, but my #1 lamb gyro was 100% satisfactory. Order by number, pay in cash, make it easy.
Owner was the nicest guy around. Delicious food, happy to serve, and provided takeout service. Ensured the food was warm and waited to finish the fries (which he kindly upgraded to gyro fries) until we were ready to pick up. Next time I’m back, I will make sure to shop here for my Gyro

The gyros here are delicious! The meat was very tender and was served on soft fresh bread. To top it off, the owner and employee (Muhammad) were kind and generous. Would strongly recommend this halal restaurant.
Greeted before we even walked up! The chicken gyro, steak philly and chicken philly were beyond amazing! They even had a shaded area for us to sit and eat. Definitely will be stopping by again next time I’m in Portland.
