I grew up in San Diego eating Mexican food probably every day; this place is the best! I don't know how they make it, but their steak/ carne asada burritto is the best thing I've ever had. They make it crunchy somehow, Also, I never had it until i ate here, but you must try the Chomoloko!
Best Mexican food in Portland! My 9 year old son and I where very impressed! Great service ,warm and inviting environment. Hands down the best in Portland
The best Place to eat in town. Thank you for everything.
This place is amazing! One of my favorite places in town to eat. Incredible food, good service. It will take 15min for your food, but that's because they actually make it.
Spectacular! The pibil is so delicious. The salsas are so good and picante. The only thing that would be better is if there were chips involved.
The best in town. Excellent cochinita and asada carnitas. Plus relleno negro. Yum.

Este lugar de lo mejor se tarda un poco pero todo fresco se los recomiendooo
Great food and service yummy
By far the best Panuchos Iv had. Tried theme here first and Iv tried a couple other places and definitely I’m addicted to these. My favorite are the asada panuchos. Iv also tried there trompito, tostadas de ceviche, esquites, mangonada, and still working on much more from the menu. Definitely a cool little spot with unique delicious home made flavor. The owner is really friendly and has exceptional customer service. Do keep in mind everything is made from scratch and can take longer waits but definitely worth it!
Sofia makes some delicious food. Been there multiple times and will definitely go back. The prices are pretty reasonable so that's nice with the cost of everything going up. I love the atmosphere in the little restaurant too. It's cozy and very welcoming. Definitely recommend trying.
My partner and I just moved nearby and this place caught our eye! It can take a while to get food for more than one person because everything is made fresh to order, but it’s soooo worth the wait. It’s hard to find a burrito this perfect in Oregon. I recommend the chicken mole burrito!
Update: Went back and it's still good. The prices are higher, but the portions are also a little bigger. Still love the Panuchos and Salbutes, but this time they had homemade Horchata that was delicious (it had a very fine grit of cinnamon, which is better than it sounds. They've got a sidewalk out front now and I want all-y'all to go and enjoy.

Old Review (2016): If you like Mexican food, you must visit Angel Food & Fun. This is a little hole in the wall attached to a lottery and pool hall. They offer most of the usual Mexican fare and it's rather good, but you need to have what makes them unique: Panuchos & Salbutes
I've never heard of panuchos and salbutes, now I can't forget. This is food from the Yucatan and very few places in Portland serve it. At $2 a pop I recommend getting at least 2 of each. We had both the chicken and beef panuchos and salbutes. We loved both for different reasons. The beef was delicious with onions and cilantro. The chicken was equally delicious with a small slice of avocado, jalapeno, tomato and bright pink pickled onions. This is a meal you don't want to miss.
We are very disappointed we live in Beaverton, or we'd be there every week.
We got mole enchiladas, panuchos and esquites they were all so delicious. Family run place and feels so warm and homey. Loved it. We’ll be back!
Found this place while wandering around on Google Maps and was not disappointed. My girl ordered the Salbutes and I ordered the Poc Chuc. Both were delicious and have us wanting to go back. Which we definitely will do. The habanero homemade salsa they have is amazing. As well as the homemade horchata. You can even play some pool in the other side of the restaurant while you wait for your food. I will definitely be returning to this place and I recommend this to anyone looking for delicious food at a very reasonable price. The woman who owns the place is so polite and makes the experience even better. If you are in the area definitely stop by. And if you're not in the area then make the trip. You will not be disappointed.
Very well executed and tasty, unique menu items. They are different from the usual items from taquerias around the area. There are always different specials and they will be making fresh tortillas in house every weekend. I wouldn’t say the meats were the best i’ve had, but what really impressed me were the combination of flavors, textures, and amazing homemade hot sauces.
My friends and I were visiting Oregon and stumbled upon this restaurant because it's fairly close to the airport. The food was amazing. We had panuchos, salbutes, emoladas, enfrijoladas, empanadas, y esquites. Everything was delicious and the cochinita pibil was to die for!!
We will definitely be visiting this restaurant when we go to Oregon.
Stopped by Angel Food & Fun for fresh tortillas and a few spontaneous tacos. Two shrimp tacos for my kiddo and a soyrizo taco for me. Comida sensacional! The owner is incredibly kind too. Highly recommend.
Lots of choices. Authentic Yucatán food. Good price. Cash only. Delicious!
Went in for the first time today, and had a shrimp tostada, chilaquiles, and sopes. Everything was fresh and delicious! Beautifully seasoned, with just the right amount of spice. This is my new favorite hole-in-the-wall for Mexican food :)
I only took a star off because my salbute was so greasy. Everything was made to order and yet it was super fast.
I got one panucho and one salbute- both with chicken. They were both tasty but the panucho was the clear winner thanks to the addition of beans. I feel like the were a little overpriced for the size. I could easily eat four of them to even come close to a meal.
I just found my new favorite burrito in Portland!
Since the recent changes in ownership/lead chef at Angel Food and Fun, the food has gone from good to amazing!
I’m particular- this vegetarian fajita burrito knocked my socks off.
This place is pretty neat. The burritos are some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
My first experience with Yucatan cuisine. Excellent ingredients and flavors. Very good price point for the quality of the food. Sofia is a very talented creator of food. Don't miss this hidden gem!
Under NEW management in the last 5 months. YUCATAN STYLE Grandmothers recipes! Try things the way they are in a a special southern part of Mexico!
