We don't automatically think of 82nd Avenue as a typical coffee shop "spot"....but Mocha Express turns out to be an awesome place to go. I love everything about this place. It's super spacious, very clean and the staff is friendly. Every drink I've ordered has been exactly right. There are a few things that make it unique...like how they sell sunglasses (I bought some with my order one time)....and they have some wonderfully old funky rolling chairs. (extra comfortable). It's a great place to read, work, visit or think.
The employees are always polite, inviting, cheerful. Super crazy that you can order an 52 fluid once mocha shake though. That's freaking huge. And definitely is like crack in an shake for myself and my brother. Over all wonderful coffee shop that has been around for some decades now, if I'm not mistaking.
Visited this location on a Saturday afternoon. It was nice walking in and being greeted with a friendly hello and chit chat about how the day was so nice (weather) and general area things...
Had a mocha for me right away, while i was waiting I noticed Computer stations around the large social area with couches and chairs, very comfortable. Wifi access on two connections, looked like a good place to do some work or maybe read a book.
There is tanning upstairs as well so plenty of things to do here.
They make everything from scratch and create custom smoothies that will amaze you.
There is a drive through and there are tables and chairs outside. There is parking that is handicap accessible as well.
Definitely someplace to drop by when in the area or to meet at with friends.
Ordered an Espresso Milkshake without chocolate, and he seamlessly made it with vanilla without batting an eye. What caught me off guard was how big their cups can go. If you order a large, you just might get their 52oz cup, lol, so be warned.
Milkshake was everything I wanted it to be, but next time will ask for more coffee in it.
Friendly service. Relax and conformable to study and but i knit my projects while listening my music.
I really needed a place to study and have some caffeine. This place is awesome. Two floors, full of seating. Coffee is pretty good, and the food options are great if you need to really focus. Free WiFi and plenty of outlets. Seating is super comfortable. The barista is friendly and cheerful. This is going to be my place to focus on homework.
The guy is always awesome he's the owner always very nice one day I didn't have any money on me and I told him I couldn't pay any let me do it the next who does that
Went here 2 years ago for a date and the date didn't work out but the coffee was delicious! Recently went again and got an iced coffee with cream and sugar and it was SO GOOD! Great iced coffee is hard to find and when you do it's heavenly. The almond Danish was also super tasty. Some jerk cut me off as I was driving to work but I took another sip and my spirits were lifted again
Nice relaxing place to get a good cup of coffee
One of the best coffee shop in Portland. Definitely better than any Starbucks, very laidback spot to chill and some very pretty girls behind the counter.
Mocha express is my FAVORITE coffee shop, I go at least once a week to treat myself. Everyone is always so nice and hardworking. You cannot beat the pricing for the quality and quantity. The drive thru is super convenient and truly I hardly EVER have to wait. Please give this coffee shop a try if you haven’t! :) My fav: a mocha, add lavender! Their blueberry muffins are yummy too.
Such a great experience! The owner is exceptionally kind and friendly. My youngest daughter feels like he is now her friend! My older two daughters loved the dolmas and bubble tea. We will return for the tea, the food and the friendly service! Thanks.
Great place very clean place.there drink sizes are huge. I mean big! This was my wife's and I first time here and think it's a terrific place with good vibe.
