Went for the pizza, stayed for the outdoor tables and good play list. Re: those pizzas, though - great thin, slightly charred, crusts, and the tomato sauce is that perfect combination of acid and salt. Vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore offerings.
What a great place and great food. We will miss you guys. Good luck on your next adventure.
The pizza is awesome! The music is a bit hard on the ears, but the food and staff make up for it.
Amazing food, lots of vegan and vegetarian choices, really good hang. Super friendly bartenders. Old school pizza oven. Killer pizza and tacos and the BEST Brussel Sprouts ever!! We love this place!
I had all 3 of their vegan tacos, they were all delicious! Out of all of them the Wood fired Pineapple taco surprised me the most. It was an interesting combination that was very satisfying with flavor and mouthfeel. Their vegan style fries (nutritional yeast instead of parmesan cheese) were also awesome! My S.O. had the I Get A Kick Out Of You pizza, he loved it. The crust was baked perfectly and said that he liked each ingredient really complimented each other, one ingredient didn't overpower the other.
The bartender was awesome! He was very friendly and engaging. We were just passing through town, he had some great suggestions of things to do while in Portland.
I highly recommend this restaurant!
Great pizza and tacos, decent drink menu. Atmosphere is cozy, and staff is friendly and accommodating. Large tables for bigger groups. Projector for movies and television events is also a plus.
I really like this bar. Feels cozy, upscale and a little divy all at once. The bartenders have been great. Amazing service! The food is delicious. I love the pizza with honey on it. There was one cocktail... coconut something that was not so great and a really unexpected and unappetizing color - like a pastel green.
Cocktails were tasty.

Tacos were very tasty, albeit not matching their traditional names.

Didn't have the pizza myself but it looked fantastic. I DID have the tacos though and they were awesome! Fun place and the bartender was cool. Highly recommended.

This place is sadly closing in two weeks but it was the best place to go for a 2nd date or anything else. The atmosphere, the food, the service...perfect! Let's make these folks have a tough time deciding in two weeks...or even rename it the Phoenix after it miraculously comes back before it's gone. Post everywhere...this is the place to go in SE Portland..should be a mainstay. Make it happen!
Pretty good food with vegan options. Some dishes are a little on the pricey side but you can get good eats for relatively cheap. Drinks were ok. Cool decor.
Great wood fire pizzas made in a cool, laid back atmosphere. Menu is diverse with great vegan options and the drinks were good too!!

It's always a bit noisy, but they're great for a good drink and fast good food. They don't break the bank and are also good for mediumish sized groups.
Great bar and really creative food to go along with the drinks! The tacos are great and the pizza is worth snacking on as well.
Awesome pizza and atmosphere for a nice dinner out. Part of the Lighting Bar group, they keep bringing amazing restaurants to the Portland area.
Tacos are great and stuffed to of goodness! Drinks are strong and well made. Staff is friendly and the place is clean.
Pretty good, just don't use their website, the online menu is not current (And they are kind of rude if you order something they no longer have. They really should update their website, it's not like it's difficult)
