Owners are honest hard workers and some of the best people you will ever meet! They have been in the food/restaurant business for years and know their stuff! Their previous restaurant was one of my favorite restaurants of all time since i was a teenager, and I've traveled and lived all over the world so I know my food! Their new restaurant rice junkies is amazing and I congratulate them, wishing them new success with it!

This is hands down my favorite place to go in Portland for food. Their noodles and vegetables are great and I love getting it with the chicken and a side of spicy peanut sauce which is VERY spicy and amazing.

Bibimbap was so good. The meat was tasty, sweet, and flavorful and the gochujang added so much flavor to everything. Everyone is so nice and very quick service. Also, it seems to me that a lot of the bad reviews are tainted by ethnocentricity. Take that as you will, but I think this is a great place.

I love this place. It's a little hole in the wall. Barely any place to sit. And I love it! The food is amazing. The people running it are so nice. I wish they were open on the weekends.

My favorite restaurant on campus! The food is consistently delicious and affordable, and the people who own it and work there are so nice! I've been going there for years and it's so nice to be able to go to Rice Junkies and see a friendly face. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I am also allergic to gluten and have no issues with any of their food! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

It's a great little place to grab bento meals! It offers rice and noodles and various meats, such as chicken and beef, as well as a meat substitute (tofu). The folks in there are always nice and the service is normally pretty quick. The only reason this is a 4-star rating, instead of a 5-star, is due to the undercooked food. On multiple occasions, I've gotten a bento meal with crunchy rice or grey beef. It's not the tastiest nor does it sit well with the stomach. Other than that though, it's a great little place, especially if you're craving teriyaki chicken!

Affordable and speedy service, this is definitely the place to go for the busy student in need of a meal. With so many options, one can experiment with different flavor and texture combinations, until you find a dish that you love. One of the places everyone on campus has to go at least once.

Healthy, fresh options for burritos and bowls! We love the cheese, rice beans, salsa-packed Mexican style burrito and the Bim Bam Bap Korean style burrito! Right in the heart of the Urban Center with good hours for a filling breakfast and lunch!

I don't think I have ever written a review for anybody. However, I feel like this place has gotten a lot of bland and unhelpful reviews. First of all, the place is like a sauna, which means they are constantly steaming and making food fresh. This is a good sign. Secondly, they make at least half of the sauces they offer from scratch; not a lot of small bento places can say that besides maybe their teriyaki sauce. Third, it is a small business run mom-n-pop style and not a franchise which means there are human errors that may quirk each experience. The food portions are generous, the price is affordable, and the food is cooked wonderfully. I ordered their potsticker bowl. The potstickers were made to order. The veggies were cooked al dente so they kept their color, flavor and were easy to digest. The part that really made me fall in love was the homemade sauces. I would suggest combining the teriyaki with as much of the homemade sweet chili as you can handle. you will have a flavor bomb of salt, sweet, and umami that you can only get from hand-made concoctions. The location is a little out of my normal routine, but it is worth the slight detour for something that will invigorate my senses Thank you Rice Junkies!

My go-to place for simple beans & rice when I am near the PSU campus. I appreciate the compostable paper box containers for take-away meals, rather than styrofoam. The curry sauce could be a little spicier, but that's a personal preference. A reasonably priced meal for someone on the go, no room for inside dining. Clean, friendly, fast, tasty. No mystery ingredients, you will recognize everything in your meal.

Amazing! I’ve been wanting to try this place since i’ve moved to Portland. I guess they were closed due to covid. I got the bento with chicken, veggies, and teriyaki sauce. So much food for such a reasonable price! I live nearby so this is definitely my new go to!

Very very fast service (under 2 minutes in a heavy lunch crush!) Very cheap. Sadly, got my order wrong, so by the time I unwrapped it back at my desk, I was left with a very bland. No sauce was put on my yakisoba! Give these guys a shot if you want fast service, just open up your wrap to make sure they get it right!
