One of the best Mexican restaurants in town. I only have one other favorite near home. They have great authentic Mexican food. We have had lunch here many times and it is always consistently delicious.

Cheap, fast, friendly service! I only ever get the tacos here. My favorite are the carnitas and the Al pastor. They really load up their tacos so I can appreciate that.
La Sirenita is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Everything is good here, and they have bean burritos just like my Grandma made. However I have to say it’s hit and miss with the quality for a few years now. We often get oxidized guacamole on the taquitos and this evening a very long hair in our carne asada fries. I still gave them four stars because they’ve always had good food but it’s maddening when you get it to go and find a hair in it.
Charming atmosphere even when it's not busy. Love the artwork inside. The family that runs it is so kind and the food is always amazing. We've gotten them to cater two parties for us and stop in for a burrito at least once a week, is always the first stop for food when people come into town to visit. Amazing, and the best Verde salsa in town.
A good family place to check out and support during the days of Corona. They make real good food and serve it up quick. I know the atmosphere leaves a little bit to be desired. It's a work in progress I think. The benefits of eating in a neighborhood restaurant is you get to know the owners and they love what they do.
This place is terrific. The service is right to the point and the speed from order to getting the food is extremely fast. I order the Al Pastor Burrito and find it to be one of my favorite burritos in town.
Here is a simple hidden gem of Sellwood. La Sirenita is a cozy place with simply great food. They keep a tight menu so that they can exceed with every meal. Feel free to try anything and you will not be disappointed. Staff is friendly and happy to make lunch suggestions if you do not know what you want, just ask.
wonderful authentic hole in the wall kind of place! really good food, great prices, good sized portions, and friendly staff who speak English clearly to be helpful for non Spanish speakers. Cute decor, parking is only on the street which can be tough sometimes but can't blame them for that ;)

It is honestly very difficult to find amazing Mexican food in the area, however this place is AMAZING! The food is great, and the staff is very friendly. I love this place and highly recommend the Shrimp Fajita burrito and chips and salsa, don't forget the green sauce!!!
The wet burrito is fantastic! The prices are higher than their online menus. Excellent for grabbing a bite to go, and the burritos are pretty large too. One of the more authentic Mexican restaurants I've been to in Portland, but that bar is pretty low.
I really enjoy this place! Carne asada is very good! I bet most the people in the reviews are white people who love white washed Mexican food haha. This place is very solid, but they need to make real horchata and not use powder.
Oh La Sirenita how I missed you during the pandemic. I'm glad you made it through. The food here is authentic and holds its own against some of the best restaurants in Mexico.
Not sure what Nick P was talking about when he said they don't have green salsa because they definitely do....and it's wonderful and tasty!

Absolutely love this place. I always get the bean and cheese burrito, and it lasts me for 2 meals. Their beans are so good, and their tortillas fresh. Service is fast, too. No designated parking, so its tricky finding street parking sometimes.
Real authentic Mexican food about a half mile off the Springwater Rail Trail, great spot to grab a burrito and fuel up along the way! Fast service, and some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in the city! 5 stars, I come here all the time.

this place is so good. when me and my boyfriend first met he told me how there was a rlly good mexican resturant in town and i didnt believe him bc it was portland. but after coming here with him so many times it's the best mexican resturant ive eaten at. the tacos are amazingly well down, barley any fat, barley any heavy grease, theres always generous amounts of meat and veggies in the tacos too. the service is amazing as well, super kind. gotta be my favorite mexican resturant and everywhere else i go to just doesnt compare :)
Love the food here, just moved to the area and this is our go to taco place, just wish they were busier
