HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST Philly’s I’ve ever tried. It’s not a traditional one at all. Dope cute little hole in the wall with a full bar. Dope dinner and date vibes.
The god damn oxtail and brisket Philly had me smiling all the way home. Must try this place in Portland!

This is one of my favorite go-to spots. The drinks are always solid. The food is good and they have some of the best bartenders in town! If you're out and about in Northwest, check it out. They have a great side patio where you can have an intimate conversation or hang out with a bunch of friends. It can be a little pricey but it's well worth it!

Cute little spot to grab a cocktail mixed excellently by such a friendly bartender. Everyone here was welcoming and so nice. The food came out pretty quick and looked amazing. I got the ox tail cheese steak sandwich with fries. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was that the cost of the meal didn't include fries. It was 16 bucks and 3 dollars more for fries. Other than thati would go again and take advantage of the happy hour pricing from 4pm-6pm.
Went on a Thursday night. Great vibes/atmosphere inside. Tasty drinks! The bartender Justin was amazing! Definitely will come back!
There's something so conversational about this place, maybe it's the friendly people that gravitate towards the bar? The service is welcoming from the moment you walk in, and you'll be hard pressed to find french fries as deliciously crispy in the area. Too many places embrace the thick cut steak fry, or miss the mark with a soggy crinkle - these though are perfectly fried, and if you think one plate is enough for two people drinking, well... you might just lose that friendship over sliced potatoes.
12/25/19: Dropped in on Christmas night. Really great food menu options. We ordered the brussel sprouts, burger w/arugula salad, and Mac and cheese. Everything tasted great. Mac and cheese was a bit too rich for my tummy but it had good flavor. Arugula salad was huge! Brussel sprouts were nicely fried. The burger was classic, just your basic burger that's satisfying.
My dining partner was especially excited about getting beers on draft that's hard to find in Seattle so that was an added bonus.
Despite being so busy the service was prompt and friendly. Looking forward to visiting again.
Great neighborhood cocktail bar. Thoughtful cocktail menu, with very helpful staff to find the drink that best matches your tastes. Had great conversations with fellow customers at the bar.
Good little neighborhood spot. Haven't tried the food, but it looks good. Bartender really brings the place together. Try it out.
We rolled into Bantam Tavern Friday afternoon at 4pm after a stressful surgical appointment. There we were served by a wonderful female bartender and assisted by the male bartender.
The food was really good (we got fish and chips), and the Whiskey Punch drink was tasty and strong.
The thing that made it the best though is that they didn't hesitate or say anything untoward to me, a very transgender looking lady. That made it extra special to be here, to be accepted, talked with and treated well.
I can't recommend people going to this place enough.
Great little gem of a place. My husband and I came in late on our anniversary and found kind staff, a relaxed vibe, great drinks, and STELLAR food. We ordered the fried cauliflower (perfectly balanced with capers) and the potato gnocchi and grilled chicken: I had never had chicken that fell apart like that before. Perfectly balanced flavors and textures. We'll definitely be back. Oh, and those fireplaces are rad as well.
