Very good pizza in St. Johns. Plenty of toppings. The crust is very good. It's a thinner chewier crust w a nice edge crust to dip in sauce if you like crust. Garlic knots were perfect little garlic bread bites.
We did a pick up order for work dinner and I think we spent $40 w tip. Everyone loved the big bacon end pieces. Nice touch. We will definitely be ordering again soon.
Delicious! Our pizza exceeded our expectations. There were plenty of vegan options as well as the traditional favorites. We met Kevin, the owner and received terrific service. Highly recommend this pizza for dine in or take out.
Really good, the cheese sticks were way bigger than I thought (not complaining about that!) And I love all the vegan options! I got a cheese pizza with fake pepperoni, cooked perfectly good job guys.
A cute little joint. Can't wait for the grand opening! The atmosphere and aesthetic make it a wonderful place to sit and hang out. Ordered a pizza to go, and can say it was definitely worth it. The crust is perfectly crisp with the right amount of char, the sauce is a nice balance of sweet with a kick, and the pepperoni makes for the perfect little bowl of grease. I can see it being an extremely popular place once it makes it's final debut!
Fantastic vegan pizza! The size of the slices is inconsistent.. but I guess that's to be expected at a pizzeria?
Just want to make a big shout out to 48 North. Our pizza has been fabulous each time we order. Courteous service, quick, clean, safe. Eat in or take out. My favorite part is making it my own. I love a pesto base. Kevin, the owner also has a massive vegan selection. Give them a try!
I've ordered from them several times in the past couple of months and it's been fantastic every time. I can't eat dairy so the fact that they have vegan pizzas is so exciting -- finally I get to have pizza again. I recommend the Greek pizza and the South of the Border. My wife always enjoys a regular pepperoni pizza and their garlic knots.
Easily some of the best pizza we've had in Portland.
Without a doubt one of the best pizzerias in North Portland. I go here often and their pizzas never let me down. The quality in their product, crispiness in their dough and friendly service keeps me coming back. Also, I'm not vegan but holy cow do they have a a huge vegan pizza menu. My go to pizza is a very simple pepperoni and pineapple and they knock it out of the park every time. The wait times can be long depending on when I order, but if I'm in a hurry, I will order ahead of time and they always accommodate. I love these guys!!!!
Delicious pies with big awesome crust bubbles... great sauce.... great cheese.... mmm... deliciousness of the highest caliber!
Worth the cost ... They're a bit spendy. But the quality is what you pay for.
If you've read any of my previous pizza restaurant reviews, you know that I count two factors as especially important--the dough and the oven. While 48 doesn't have the wood-fired item that I covet for my own kitchen, they more than make up for it with a set of gas versions designed and made for the process in Italy--a much cleaner and more efficient option. Hey, if the Italians have blessed them, who am I to argue. The results while not the same as from the wood-fired cousin are very, very good. I might only suggest that they crank up the temperature a notch to get a little more char but that's only a minor tweak. Using their own recipe, they make their own dough which has a wonderful crumb and chew. There were plenty of topping options but to me, toppings are a less important part of the story. At the time of my visit, they were still waiting on their liquor license. Hopefully, that is issued soon. For my money, I would definitely return if I lived in the area. This is a very friendly restaurant with great talent and great potential worthy of a visit from anyone who geeks out on pizza like me. Definitely worth five stars.
